I visited today with a friend and my dog. Both had been here before but it was my first visit. What a treasure this place is?! So cosy with a real village/community feel. Everyone was so friendly, staff and customers alike. Food was amazing, I was full but couldn’t leave a mouthful. Would 100% recommend!

Poor and slow service. Popped in today at lunchtime. Waited patiently at till to order but was studiously ignored. After several minutes, a customer came up to the couner to complain that his freshly -served coffee was cold so that was my signal to leave. Serving staff need to pay more attention to customers and not ignore them and generally speed up service.

Stopped of in this beautiful little town whilst enjoying an impromptu tour of the Oxfordshire countryside. Perfect location for a stop and recharge. Coffee was delicious as was my very nice piece (large chunk I mean) of bread pudding. My wife was not disappointed either with her slightly less indulgent sourdough toast and marmalade. Staff were friendly and attentive making the whole visit an absolute pleasure. Thank you guys.

We were walking the last 2 days of the Ridgeway from North Stoke to Ivinghoe and decided to detour to find a place to have lunch, I'm glad we found the Granary. The coffee was hot, the sandwiches very tasty and as I said to the owner, I have eaten many cakes in many tea-rooms in 57 years, but their berry topped blackberry sponge was the best cake I have eaten in ANY tea shop. Thank you, Keith and Doug.

The place was nice. Lots of tea for 2 people. The sausage sandwich was dry and really needed the red sauce. The poached eggs were cooked ok but again the bread was very dry. Over priced for a sausage sandwich and 2 eggs on toast.

Robin and the team at The Granary Deli provided a wedding cheese tower for our wedding in April. The team were amazing to work with, so friendly and helpful! Robin took time to talk us through possible combinations, what would work and even sent samples for us to try. He then even delivered the cheese to our local wedding venue on the morning of the wedding, which was so appreciated. Couldn't recommend the Granary more, we will definitely be returning any time we are passing by!

We went in for coffee and something to eat. A lovely lady welcomed us with the smile and menus informing us to order at the counter when we’re ready. We ordered our coffees and jacket potatoes with tuna mayo. Coffees came first. They were served with two big glasses of tap water (we didn’t ask for it). Usually I have to ask for water specially and half of the time they forget it. In some countries on the continent you always get served water with coffee. I’ve been in UK almost 30 years and this was the first time I was served with water without asking for it. Well done Granary! The coffee was good too. The lady very patiently and with a smile stopped to answer my quiery about a coffee called ”Cortado” on their coffee menu. Jacket potatoes could have been eaten on their own, they were delicious and not too big. The tuna mayo filling was very good and so was the salad that came with it. I’m sorry I didn’t take a picture of the plate when it was served. We are camping in a nearby campsite and will visit The Granary again tomorrow.

We stopped off here on our way back home from a three day break in Stratford. My husband Paul wanted to visit Watlington to see the Cottage Hospital where he was born and also the first house he lived in as a baby. Having found what we thought to be the correct house and had a talk with the owner we came to the Granary for a much needed coffee! We found all of the staff, owner and customers to be a very friendly bunch and they were all pleased to answer Paul's questions. The Cottage Hospital is now a nursing home. We had a very nice coffee. The Granary is very comfortable with some sofa seating. We did not eat anything but the food all looked very nice. Nice clean toilets. Thank you for your hospitality.

Travelling down to Surrey, we decided to check TA for a lunch location...The Granary was one of the options, so we decided to visit. The greeting was a bit lacklustre and the girls were not too helpful, we had to ask rather than them offer...We ordered hot drinks and our lunch - sourdough with avocado and poached eggs, quite tasty - and were given a wooden spoon in a jar with a number and told to find a seat. The drinks arrived, Luke warm hot chocolate and a warmer latte. Then the food arrived a while later. They had a local crowd in for a range of food and drink and a reasonable turn over for a Saturday lunch. We then visited their deli next door and the two girls there seemed more inclined to chat to each other than us, but eventually they both proved very helpful and we bought a number of pieces of cheese from their huge selection and other items.

We were staying locally and came here for dinner. Food was excellent and a good selection of options. Both had starters - Chicken satay and jerk prawns. For main we had pork belly and monk fish with Pak Choi and a creamy coconut sauce. Really nice flavours and decent portions- too stuffed to look at dessert menus. Service was good and felt looked after. A little on the pricey side (£77 for 2 with an alcoholic drink each) but not too bad, especially for the quality and portions.
