I booked a surprise tea party for my daughter and it was amazing ! The food was baked fresh and all cakes made to order, I will definitely be booking again as it was so nice (I've been for afternoon tea a fair few times here before but this was for 24 people) very helpful and friendly staff, everyone called me the next day to say how lovely the food was (and it was) a great time was had by all, thankyou to Louis and the team xx

We used Croft Tea Room to cater the finger buffet for our Volunteer Awards Ceremony, and the experience was fantastic. Louis was incredibly helpful, working with us to accommodate our budget, and there was plenty of delicious food for everyone. He arrived on time and even assisted with setting up the buffet. Overall, it was great service from a wonderful local business. Highly recommend!

I am delighted to see this place is so popular. I've been a fan since they were crowdfunding a few years back so I bought my friend, who's localish, a cake - we've loved it ever since. I live abroad most of the time now, and am not in London much when I back, but I do get there when I can and it's consistently lovely. I wanted to go on Tuesday before I head home again but not open til Wednesday 😑 but my friend picked us up some of their baked goods so we had a bit (lot) of a feast at hers. The scones and flapjacks alone are worth the flight over! though I like to eat in if I can - the staff are lovely. Hope to see you all soon. PS keep an eye out for a Sunday roast day, they're a great treat.

Had a lovely afternoon tea today . Great mixture of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Too much for us to eat. The very kind waitress put the cakes we hadn’t eaten in box us. Will definitely go back.

I booked for a private hire to celebrate a baby shower. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty and the cakes were amazing.. the blondies were particularly popular. The space allowed us to have some fun with a couple of games and we were able to put up decorations. Was the perfect space for a small celebration.

My bestie and I had afternoon tea here recently. It was our first visit. It was beautiful. The food was delicious, super choices and generous portions, the service was warm & friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant. And we were given doggy boxes for the cakes we couldn't manage! We will certainly go back again. The only slight downside is parking. There is no parking at the Tea Room itself, but you can park within a few minutes' walk.

Such a lovely place, the service was excellent. We had an afternoon tea for 2 with half of it having to be gluten free (for me) and it was the most amazing gluten free food I’ve had. Lovely fresh scones cooked when we arrived and the sandwiches were so filling we had to have a box to bring the cakes home as we couldn’t manage it all. Everything was so fresh and beautifully made. We would highly recommend going here and we will be back again soon. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Ordered the most amazing brownies as a gift for a special Birthday. The service was excellent and the brownies were delicious. I would definitely recommend Croft Tea Rooms and will be purchasing again very soon! 😍

A small tea room food really nice and tasty staff really friendly

Great staff, welcoming and friendly. Nice atmosphere, treated my mum for a roast dinner and wasn’t disappointed! Meat was cooked beautifully, portion size was fab and was like a real home cooked meal. Cakes were delicious, would highly recommend.

What a little treasure find. My partner treated me to tea and cakes. We had a warm welcome from Louis. Our reserved table was the perfect spot. The choice of sandwiches were outstanding - A lovely choice of fillings and tasted great too. We had coronation chicken/ham and tomato and egg mayonnaise. Highly recommend all three. Our homemade scones were lovely and warm with the added extra of a delicious jam and clotted cream and a couple of strawberries, which was lovely. We were spoilt for choice with the cakes. And yes they tasted as good as they looked!!! Louis kindly boxed what we couldn't eat. Friendly, welcoming and warm atmosphere. I highly recommend.

Visited today. Beautiful little tea room. Staff so friendly. The afternoon tea was fantastic, best I have eaten in years. Fresh tasty sandwiches. Delicious scones with jam & cream. The cakes were amazing! Huge slices of homemade cake, 4 different ones & all were yummy. Will definitely be back. Thanks Louis for a wonderful afternoon.

Had a buy a gift voucher for afternoon tea, we picked this as liked the look of it, very quaint. Lovely sandwiches, cakes and scones with jam and cream. Giant pot of tea and it was absolutely lovely. Sandwiches were nice and tasty and sevice was excellent. Homely, friendly and even had a dog 🐶 Thank you 👌👍🐾

Came here to celebrate a birthday with a cream tea and it absolutely did not disappoint. This is the nicest most generous cream tea our party has ever had- We has a good selection of sandwiches , freshly baked warm scones, and a selection of huge home made slices of cake. Everything on the afternoon tea was absolutely delicious. The Croft had a Lovely warm atmosphere, Louis was very welcoming and took the time to make sure everything was ok for us, he even offered to accommodate my toddler who Is a very fussy eater by going off menu. Thank you Louis and team, we are looking forward to coming back

Communication to organise the event was great, ensuring all dietary requirements were met and we had everything we needed. A lovely afternoon tea with friends - thank you guys...

Hygiene needs to have some attention, staff did not wear gloves to do food preparation and staff member had nail varnish on very long nails that were really dirty under the nail, yuk !

We were so looking forward to having our afternoon tea here but we have come away really disappointed. Booked for afternoon tea for two plus 2 choosing from the menu. We were greeted & shown to our table. Took a while before we were offered drinks & had to ask for a menu for 2 of us. Placed our order, 2 items weren’t available but we got round that with being offered an alternative. Food arrived promptly, looked delicious & tasted good but the whole time we were sitting opposite the serving/food prep area I watched the young girl server dip her finger in a jug of milk she then served, continually picking up every cake/scone with her fingers & cutting every cake with the same knife. I then witnessed the man server do the same with the cakes/scones, picking them up with his fingers!! I am actually so disgusted & put me off of my food that I couldn’t finish…£20 wasted! This is really bad practice for any good food establishment, there wasn’t a set of tongs/cake slice in sight! We weren’t asked if everything was ok, wasn’t offered more tea but the table next to us was asked 3 times if all was satisfactory. Where is the consistency in service? I won’t be returning & owner/management needs to address these issues immediately! The scones also need to be covered as with the door open flies were around them!

We'd heard of the tea room but had never been before so when we won a voucher through a raffle it was a perfect opportunity. It also coincided with daughter's 9th birthday. So we went for afternoon tea which was delicious! The sandwiches were superb (incredible bread) and scones and cakes were divine. In fact we had to take some of it home as there was so much! Caroline sorted everything out for us online before we got there and Louis was a great host. We'll definitely return. Our only negative is that the outside seating area is in need of some TLC.

Sausage and egg sandwich - egg was overcooked, not runny at all, sausage was overcooked and hard. No sauce is offered so was a very dry sandwich. Bread thin and average. Grilled cheese - far too oily

Had my Mum's 80th Afternoon tea here, hired out whole tea room. Had quite a few dietary requirements, including gluten free, vegetarians, and just fussy eaters. All catered for beautifully. All the sandwiches, cakes and scones were delicious as home made. Had a lemon birthday cake which was amazing too. The day was very special, nothing too much trouble, excellent service with a smile! A day to remember, highly recommend.

Ordered a gluten free afternoon tea as a special treat. Sadly, two of the three cakes and the scone were from M&S. I was so disappointed and it ruined my treat.

Small but relaxed tea room. Friendly service, my friends and I enjoyed an afternoon tea and were not rushed in any way (arrived at 1.30pm and left at closing!). Food was good, we couldn’t manage the cakes at the time but were provided with takeaway cartons to eat at home and they were delicious. Would visit again.

Fancied treating the family to an Afternoon Tea. (Girls laughed at how posh that sounds) first note you get loads of food, treat this more of a main meal, we ended up taking 2 boxes of cakes home. Everyone had a great chilled out time, enjoyed the food and company which is just what I wanted for a family treat. I now understand why these are so popular, you can take your time as it all comes out on a nice stand and you can chat and eat at leisure. Unlimited tea meant you could have a nice hot cup. Lovely place for afternoon tea. I rang to book which I would suggest.

I ordered some takeaway afternoon teas and treat boxes (Halloween) Which was nothing like the pictures advertised some of the biscuits were not decorated the cakes were nothing like the pictures advertised. The afternoon tea had items missing The cakes tasted lovely but had disappointed children as they were expecting scary treats

Received a treat box today costing me £16 and I am not happy with the content. It was not the same as the picture advertised. The cupcakes were nice but the rest of the box looked like multipack sweets, and just one or two of them at that. Apart from the cakes, I would guess that I could have spent a lot less money for the same amount

Fantastic afternoon of live music and great food

A couple of years before the epidemic I had a really good Sunday roast and decided to order one as a take-away last Sunday. Three roast potatoes were in the container - one lovely and crispy but the other two had clearly not had enough time in the oven, barely brown and hard inside. Presumably a further batch had been hastily put in the oven to cope with demand. One extra small Yorkshire pudding - much smaller than the one I remember from before, and also a wedge of stuffing. I don't think stuffing should be served as a basic with roast beef. I would much rather have had the stuffing (whch would have gone well with roast pork) replaced with a fourth and fifth potato (unless they would also have been undercooked). The overwhelming bulk of the vegetables were made up with peas. More cabbage, and parsnip would have been preferable. The actual beef was good. Just the "trimmings" which were a disappointment.

Well A most delightful luncheon for 2 plus 🐶 was had there today Welsh rarebit superb and massively generous portion Will be returning for a cheesy afternoon tea. 😋👌

They were very impressed with the friendly staff who went above and beyond with the service and made them feel very welcome. The food was amazing and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We were bought an afternoon tea for Christmas from my best friend!!! It was absolutely amazing! Home made cakes and scones delicious!!! Having not been out much because of Covid I was really worried. But I needn’t have been!!! Thank you very much we will be back xxxx

It was indeed a good afternoon!

i visited with 3 friends yesterday, 13/12/. It was superb. Louis is so friendly, sarnies were terrific, pots of tea were delicious. And then the cakes. Wow. Generous portions. Louis was so helpful when I said I was a fussy eater, and I had plain sarnies which were yummy. Hoping to return end of Jan for a birthday treat. Hidden treasure we will be back.

My friends and I went for our annual Christmas outing. We opted for the festive afternoon tea and we were not disappointed, it was delicious. Everything had been made fresh that day, it was a feast for the palette washed down by a cup of tea or prosecco! Lois the owner was very friendly and explained what all the cakes where and gave us a choice of what sandwiches we would like.

We Visited the tea rooms today for the first time, we had table for 11 for my daughters baby shower, we had afternoon tea with Prosecco and it was excellent the atmosphere was cosy and homely, and the service was amazing, the owner was lovely nothing was to much trouble, will definitely be going back

Sunday roast dinner No words to describe how absolutely delicious this was. We had turkey. The 2 gentleman in their are so funny and worked very hard. Felt very relaxed and we will definitely be booking again. The chocolate cake was a dream 😍

Ordered Afternoon Tea for 2 for delivery as a belated birthday surprise. My mother in law, who is a bit of a cake specialist herself, said it was absolutely delicious. Fresh sandwiches, beautiful scones and a good selection of cake. They even put in a birthday card for her which was super appreciated!! What a bargain for the quality you get!! Thank you!!!!!

My mum eats in here a lot and she recommended we go for Sunday dinner, well I wasn’t disappointed. One of the best roasts I’ve had ever, the roast potatoes and gravy were amazing. My young daughter who doesn’t eat anything cleared her plate. I couldn’t recommend it enough - please try and support local.

This lovely little tea room has a far more comprehensive menu than I expected. The food is fresh and the service is very friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my food and loved the new coffee. Louis works so hard to please customers and keep going during Covid. Keep up the good work Louis.

Se suponía que esto era 10. 95 según el sitio web o 19. 95 para dos. Tres de nosotros decidimos tomar Prosecco, que serían 14. 95 cada uno. Decidieron cobrar 15. 50 por persona y 5 extra por una copa pequeña de Prosecco. Que una pequeña empresa local fuera tan astuta me sorprendió.
