We love coming to The Orpington! We moved to the area this year and happened to discover this little cafe within a couple weeks of moving. We were so happy to find such a cosy and welcoming place with such delicious food. There’s a great selection on the menu and we’ve since come back to enjoy several breakfasts, lunches, coffees and dinners here!
We recently visited for a Christmas meal and had their Christmas set menu. We had such a lovely evening and both the food and service were brilliant! The food and service were excellent and all of the attention to detail they put into our meal made for a really special evening. Thank you very much!
Been here several times before and have always had a great time. Went for dinner there last night and the food was amazing.
Had the best Moussaka ever.
Great service
Amazing real Japanese food and service! My family is a big fan of Sakari. My son is a very fussy eater, so it’s difficult to eat out, but he loves Sakari’s food and eats a lot. I highly recommend it!!
ロンドンで美味しい日本食を見つけるのは難しいですが、さかりはどれを食べても美味しくて、日本を思い出します。偏食の息子も、さかりの食事だけは喜んで食べます!オススメです♪
When visiting from Manchester - a great stop off on my morning walk. Fabulous coffee and the most delicious pastries - hard to choose one!
Thanks to Rachel for the birthday coffee - very friendly and welcoming.
I absolutely love it!
I booked a table for 28 for my husbands birthday we had the function took which is located downstairs, the venue to beautiful and well put together
The service is excellent some of the best service ever
The food Is lovely and tasty with decent portion sizes
My only negative comment on food would be that the party menu at 39.99 each although it meant we have full exclusive use of the function room inside feel the options were a Good variation
I think they could include Chicken wings or another meat option to the starter party menu
That being said the food was delish and cocktails very tasty
We had booked in advance for 28 but when we arrived there wasn’t enough chairs or tables so had to wait for half an hour or so for this but didn’t cause a massive issue as we stood around for a while chatting before food orders were taken
Would I recommend….100% we would def go again and sit in main restaurant upstairs
Thanks again Pera
We had a very tasty and reasonable breakfast. My partner had the full size option and I had the smaller size which was still ample. Its perfect for if you're staying at the Travelodge. We also had lunch there. Lots of options and again really tasty. Lovely welcoming staff too.
There's so much bravado amongst pie & mash fans, who state there's is better, brought up on Harringtons in Wandsworth rd and Cookes Lower Marsh, then moved on to Maureens & Manzes popular shops who produce great grub, so there's none of that from me. The Old Cockney is up there with the very best, great food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere, well worth a visit.
We all had really lovely meals and didn't have to wait long even though it was very busy. Can see it's a popular friendly place. Staff were nice & was very clean. Photos of regulars on the walls was a nice touch. Highly recommend giving them a visit
I’ve been a few times and always loved the food and service. It had always been quiet (I’d normally be the only one there with my table). I thought it wouldn’t last but thought it last longer than it did. It’s now an Indian which I will not go to. I’ll miss it so much (their chicken souvlaki and Sunday roast were the best). Such a shame it’s not gone.
Always enjoy coming in for a nice brew of coffee . A little gem in Chatterton villages for people to come in with friends, children or by themselves for coffee or alcoholic drinks or snacks during the day or in the evening. They have friendly staff members and I find this to be a little cosy spot in the village - a little hidden gem .
We used to live 30 seconds away and always said the parade of shops needed a cafe. If we still lived in the area, we’d be in here all the time.
I had the smash avocado toast with a twist and my wife had a set breakfast with a few changes. Cooked really well and the bill was very reasonable. Coffee was also really good.
Spotlessly clean and the air-con means you don’t leave smelling like fried food.
Despite now living 20mins away with cafes near us, we’ll be back here to support this great new little cafe.
The Greek Way catered a friend's birthday party this weekend and the food was excellent- lamb and chicken particularly tasty & succulent plus great salad, chips & bread.
The staff were very friendly & efficient.
I highly recommend these guys!
What a delightful little micro pub. Friendly welcome and nice beers. Real ales and gins and not a huge range but they are all good if you like real ales. Only 6 minutes from the station so easy to get to.
If you like beers, well worth a trip and combine it with the one in Hayes too, on the same train line
