Dropped in on way back to Norfolk from Gatwick airport fantastic place(virgin trip) the food of gods was actually the food of gods great pies proper mash and best liquor since Cooke’s Shepherd’s Bush closed down. Friendly welcome great atmosphere and even bench seating takes you back to when pie and mash was our staple diet, even got a takeaway for a friend in swaffham Norfolk that’s his Sunday dinner sorted. Back down in four weeks will need to clear out the freezer before then People we need to support these type of places before everything we love is gone. Thanks for a great pit stop the car smelt great for the drive back who needs air fresheners.

Excellent service. Pizzas are amazing. Lots of choice and excellent value for money. Good drinks selection and reasonable.

What a lovely place for breakfast! The staff were really friendly and the coffee and bacon sandwich was yummy. There's quite a lot of choice in Orpington for breakfast, but I will definitely be going back to The Bakehouse. Great atmosphere and really clean. The coffee was served hot and was very tasty. The prices are really good too!

A wonderful quintessential tearoom. Excellent food and service and the salt beef sandwiches to die for. In my view even better than served at the Brass Rail in Selfridges! Great selection of food and drinks. A good sign is that it is nearly always very busy.

We private hired the tea room for a surprise 70th birthday afternoon tea for my mum and 16 friends. It was very reasonable for private hire costs. The actual afternoon tea was delicious and they were so accommodating with extra requests. Would highly recommend.

Used this place a few years ago, and heven't eaten here much lately. I've got used to paying £10 for a decent breakfast with a cup of tea around Bromley. I went last weekend and the Bubble and Squeak breakfast with a tea was £7.00. Incredible vale for money, and it was delicious. Served promptly and pleasantly by the waitress. Well recommended - how do they do it at this price?

We have eaten here many times, however the reason for the review was the incredible meal we had for my mother’s belated Mother’s Day treat . I ordered a couple of dishes not tried before , for starters Spicy Lamb Kofte , which in itself was outstanding. As for the main , A king Prawn Tagliatelle, accompanied by a glass of Malbec , once again my only disappointment was staring at an empty plate as I very much enjoyed that amazing meal . Corza , has an incredible atmosphere and is always busy , and it’s just a 20 minute walk from home . Well done Corza and hats off to the Chef for an mouth watering culinary experience .

This has the potential to be the best restaurant in SE London, but there is a serious lack on ambition on the menu. I have been several times since opening and the food is always well executed, but the menu has evolved at a snails pace and is still essentially a gasto-pub menu. The dining room is well suited to a serve genuine restaurant food, or at least a more 'fine-dining' brasserie menu, which will make the place a destination. Unfortunately, the menu feels like it has been designed by an accountant, not a chef and this means the place won't attract local regulars, nor will it become a 'destination' people travel to. D&M was reviewed by a couple of national newspapers and the money spent on the building means it could become a real gem of a restaurant, but it is lacking atm. The staff all seem friendly, and a particular mention to Jamie, who tempted us to stay for dinner after enjoying a drink on the terrace.

We had Salt and Slate cater for our wedding in June 2024. We held the reception at home with BBQ style menu for our 120 guests. Oliver was very accommodating and allowed us to adapt the menu choices to suit our day. Our guests had nothing but lovely things to say about the food. I was relaxed in the knowledge that the set up, cooking and serving of the food was all taken care of. Thank you Oliver and team! Would highly recommend the for any event.
