Made a reservation for Sunday lunch. Good service, decent food and reasonably priced. Everybody happy with what they got.

Lovely cafe with delicious homemade food. It's local to us so we go for an occasional lunchtime treat and always enjoy the food and the relaxing atmosphere. The homemade fish fingers today were great, and everything is always good quality. Friendly service.

Quality of food is excellent. Tasty soup. Sandwiches beautiful and filling. Some items are pricey. The cake display could be more welcoming. We couldn't see them. Overall a pleasant place to eat. Bistro evenings great. Quality of food excellent. Drinks perhaps a it pricey.

We found this place on the off chance when we were in the area looking for a lunch venue. The staff were very friendly and greeted us when we came in. We all had really good quality bacon sandwiches, made with what I call 'farm shop bacon', with lovely ciabatta bread, and the coffee is good too. The homemade ketchup wasn't to my taste, you can't beat a nice bottle of Heinz. There was a nice atmosphere, but it could benefit from a few cosy lights inside as it was a little dark. I would love to visit again and try out some of the other items on the menu, as it looked like there was some good fare to be had! Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

First visit to Spoon and definitely won't be my last! I went for the Full English which was absolutely delicious. Excellent, quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Fresh and flavoursome. Service from Sophie was warm and friendly and extremely efficient. Jules the owner was super friendly too. I had a lovely flat white to accompany my breakfast. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The two course lunch was delicious and the waitresses, Kaitlyn and Gemma, were friendly, positive and very helpful. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

Went to spoons for a treat with my brother and Sister in law as it was his 60th Birthday, never been before even though it is local, We we’re not disappointed, delicious food friendly staff, We will definitely be back.

perfect cafe with local produce and home made food, a must visit place. owner is a bit mad, but apparently everyone knows this his food is very good especially his own home made veg sausage, not the usual cheat for vegetarians quarn but something else, next time in sheffield I will be buying some to bring home 🏡

This cafe was a true find. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The ingredients are top quality. My brother had the veggie breakfast the sausage also the hash brown are home made by the ower. I have never tasted a veggie sausage like that absolutely delicious. If we are ever in Sheffield again we will definitely be eating here again. Thank you to the waitress she was so lovely, welcoming to the point we went back for lunch.

Been a few times for brunch with friends. The food is really good, fresh, good value and great choice, good value for money. Lots of their ingredients are locally sourced which I like. Also as a plus, the banter from the owner is 1st class. He laughs at how I pronounce 'halloumi'. What can I say, I'm a geordie! Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and the lady serving us was attentive and friendly. The only downside was the I presume owner who we witnessed frequently and very publicly telling off the server like a disobedient child for every minor thing. It was very off-putting and made us feel sorry for the young server who we thought was doing a stellar job.

Visited this morning, not planned, out walking our dog and decided to go for breakfast. Not been since Nov bistro night; but as always a lovely warm welcome. Sat outside today as we had our dog with us, not a problem, he's happy to watch the world go by, and hope that the staff give him a tickle behind the ears. Food as always is delicious. Spoon large breakfast for hubby and eggs benedict for me today. The ham hock melts in the mouth. Large americarno and a large latte to help wash it down. I'm not a coffee fan generally but theirs is very nice and smooth. Jules took the orders today and he's always funny and engaging. Keep up the good work team. See you soon.

I love it here! Great coffee and tasty food which never disappoints. It can get busy but a coffee sat outside whilst waiting is good for me. Poached eggs are always cooked as they should be.

My son brought me here for a late lunch - it has become his favourite local restaurant. It was a special that he highly rates, and it was distinct - the flavours and textures made for a very special meal. Only sorry, that I was visiting, and not able to frequent more regularly!

Usually visit for a coffee and a cake or scone which have been great. Today a couple of items I wanted weren’t available and I had duck breast, scrambled egg and beetroot on toast which sounds weird but was really well cooked and tasty. My wife had the carrot soup which apparently was excellent.

Excellent quality and value for money. Everything is made on site, down to the ketchup. Kids meals are great, home made burgers & fish fingers, and fries, all cooked on the premises, with a quality (Our Cow Molly) ice cream included.

Anoche fui a Spoon con un grupo de 15 amigos y todos tuvimos una gran noche. Mi comida estuvo deliciosa. El plato principal de Pakoras, el plato principal de lomo de bacalao asado con especias de Tikka y el postre de Eton Mess. Todo muy bien presentado, todo junto, caliente y disfrutado por todos nosotros. Tengo que decir que mi bacalao fue el mejor que he probado en mi vida, en cualquier lugar.El vino de la casa también era perfecto. ¡Perfecto!

Lovely place. Quirky & interesting. It was nicely busy with a great atmosphere. The owner was amusing - clearly loves his work. Service was fantastic. The food was spot on. Would definitely call in again when in the area.

We took our danish in-laws to spoon last night for the Bistro night, they’ve eaten on every continent and aren’t easily wow’d. They loved it and we will be back, I’m told, hurrah! At £25 per head for three amazing courses, Spoon is without doubt, one of the top eateries in Sheffield. Fantastic food at a great price. Friendly atmosphere and relaxed dining. We wouldn’t have normally considered this place as we live 40 miles away. However we won a meal for an evening meal and tried it out. We will go back, it’s worth the trek. Food great and the front of house great fun. A really nice atmosphere in a nice restaurant with nice food. Thanks

The only real enthusiasm from any of the staff was when I was paying and the chef (possibly the owner) spoke to me when I was paying.

Disappointed. Live fairly local and the opportunity finally presented itself to visit. Saturday Mid morning only one other table of four people in. Eventually the two waitresses finished their conversation to bring menus and take a drink order, more with a grimace than a smile.

Popped in on strength of word of mouth for a quick brunch with wife and son. My son was served the world’s smallest scrambled egg (half an egg?) on two bog standard slices of toast. My eggy bread was overcooked. To be fair, the wife’s brie wrap was okay.

Called in for lunch, having previously eaten breakfast here. We were delighted to discover it's just as good! fresh food, well cooked, polite friendly staff, what more could you want. The menu is imaginative with out being too fanciful, and food combinations delicious. Daily specials also svailsble and just ss good. All in all great stuff, we will be back. Good fod, well cooked. We had a wait as lots of people had arrived at the same time and food is coooked fresh but it was well worth it. Good value for money.

Booked for a large party of 20. The menu is good with plenty of delicious meals to choose from. The quality of the food was superb. Decent portion sizes of well cooked produce. All meals were piping hot and served by efficient and polite staff. We will definitely book again.

We popped in here on our way home, we were just after a sandwich and the sandwich shop across the road was just closing up.

My husband and I had a lovely Valentine's evening dinner at Spoons. It was 3 courses for £30. For starters we shared an Assiette of Seafood - two scallops wrapped in crispy bacon on pea puree, two crabmeat bonbons, pressed pulled pork, cured salmon and two prawn cocktail shots. This was all cooked perfectly, I would have put a photo on but we booked at 7.30 and the starters didn't arrive until 8.20 (it was busy) so I was a bit hungry and just dived in and by the time I'd remembered to take one we'd devoured it, it was yummy. For mains we both chose the rib eye steak (£3 supplement) served with thick hand cut chips, tomato and a choice of mushroom and blue cheese or peppercorn sauce, we chose the latter, again the meals were cooked perfectly and very tasty oh it also came with a lovely bowl of crunchy green vegetables. I had to leave some of my main so I had room for the sharing plate of desserts, and I'm so glad I did they were delicious - first a warm chocolate brownie and mint choc chip ice cream, sticky toffee pudding and butterscotch sauce with vanilla ice cream, apple crumble bread and butter pudding and Eton Mess shots, all equally delicious and all polished off. It was a lovely meal but I can't help feeling a couple of extra touches for Valentines might have made all the difference - maybe a stem vase with a flower on the table instead of a bottle of Hendo's but on the whole a lovely meal.

Was staying at the doubletree hotel down the road and after having been dissatisfied with breakfast there on the sat morning decided to look for local cafes where we could get a nice breakfast . Luckily for us spoons came up . Only a 5 min drive away , staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was great , I had poached eggs on toast which were cooked to perfection and my hubby had a full breakfast which he really enjoyed , the ingredients were all of a very good standard . Would recommend to anyone , I’ve even recommended it on the hotel review as a far better place to go for breakfast !

I visited with a friend - I had driven past the location many times but on the end of a one way street, I hadn't noticed the cafe before but I am glad I have found it now and have already revisted, with another friend!

Spoon is a pleasant enough café and the young lady who served us was very polite but for simple drinks and snacks is rather expensive (£16 for 3 Teacakes, a Coffee, Tea and 2 Hot Chocolates) which I would say rather limits its appeal for a family treat.

Discovered this place by the off chance well I must say the breakfast was amazing good quality ingredients pleasant staff. If your in a hurry then place isn’t for you if you want good food then try this place for a good weekend brekie

Went for breakfast at 10.30 today. Great full English and fantastic veggie breakfast which my partner said included the best homemade veggie sausage she's ever had. The recipe is apparently a closely guarded secret! Tea and coffee was included in the very reasonable price. Definitely recommend a visit.

We were celebrating a family members 90th birthday and wanted somewhere intimate and relaxing that provides excellent food, atmosphere and service.... well Spoon certainly was the place for it!! We were part of a fairly large group made up of 19 weeks old to 90 years old and everyone seemed to have a great experience.

Came in with friends and a child with gluten needs. Really friendly server that tended to every need. However it was not busy and the childs food came quickly but the rest we waited over half hour. By the time it came the child was finished and bored while we ate.

We are regulars at Spoon for their tasty breakfasts and lunches. We tried their new spring evening menu for the first time and were very impressed with the quality of the food and the interesting things on the menu. We were not expecting Salt Beef and Wild Mushroom Arancini in Woodseats but both were delicious. The main courses were equally good. And at 3 courses for £25 its great value for money. The wine and local beer selection is also very impressive - I had a beautiful Viognier. Spoon is very accommodating for children and the kids always love the food. I would thoroughly recommend a visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I'm a regular at Spoons because of the quality of the food and good service. The menu always has something interesting or little unusual, be it grilled halloumi and poached eggs on toast (with sweet chilli sauce) or their tolouse sausages.

I have never been disappointed with the food at Spoon, it's always delicious. We visited at the weekend and I had gin and lime cured salmon, a new starter than I hadn't tried before. It was totally amazing and one of the best starters I have ever had anywhere. Go and try this amazing little bistro people, you won't be disappointed. It's been a few months since we've been to spoon but tonight's food was absolutely amazing. The gin and lime salmon is to die for and the salmon and Thai noodles was amazing. The salmon was done to perfection and the noodles had a Thai kick but we're so tasty. I'm not going to just sing their praises you just need to go and try it for yourself. It's amazing value for money. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Having not visited for a while decided to go here for lunch as "That Place" was not open due to holidays. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the service was good. The coffee was good and hot but the food (we had a sandwich and a wrap) was okay but nothing special. With hindsight although it was early lunchtime we should have stuck with the breakfast menu.

Went to Spoon for the first time yesterday, on recommendation, and will be back! Spoon is a small bistro, with a reassuringly short menu ... all the food is home-cooked, and excellent quality. Good portion-sizes too. Friendly service. Cannot fault!

Three of us went for a meal. Not the first time. One veggie, one gf and me!!! Fantastic food, great service. Not rushed, wanting you out of door of next people. The sticky toffee pudding is the best ever. Used the place many times for birthday party's, hen night etc etc. Jules is vet accommodating if approached . Family run. Highly recommend. A hidden gem x

Weent her in November for my birthday - a special one and had booked for 18 people. We chose our menu choices a few days before and the food was excellent. Service was amazing and I would thoroughly recommend Spoon to anyone wanting an intimate birthday party at a local venue with great food. I often come here for lunch and breakfast which is equally top-notch. Highly recommended.

I visited with a friend on Thursday evening and each course was a delight and beautifully served. Much as the specials board sounded very simple, when The order was taken each dish was explained in detail and they were far from simple. Hats off to the chef. A relaxed venue with excellent food and service, and great value for money.
