A lovely stop off for breakfast before our walk. Cooked to perfection coffee good quality and lovely friendly girls serving with a smile The cafe is spotless give it a try you won't be disappointed

Had 3 takeaway afternoon tea's and could not fault it. Lovely fresh sandwiches, scones and cake. Will definitely order from there again.

Lovely place for a quiet weekend breakfast, nothing is too much for the staff here to make you feel welcome, lovely food and always comes out fresh and hot

Totally fabulous. We stopped on route to grab a breakfast to set ourselves up for the day ahead and we weren’t disappointed. Good food, lovely atmosphere and fantastic service from warm and friendly staff. We’ll definitely be calling in again.

Nice cafe and staff, plenty of room. The breakfast was average at best. Poor quality bacon and sausage but expensive compared to other cafes.

Great staff, clean and welcoming place to grab some food to go or sit in, I would have given 5 stars across the board but sadly the lack of sausage choice and quality of said sausage was poor at best, I would happily pay a bit more for decent sausages as they make or break the breakfast for me. Other than that it was a great eat in experience.

This is a lovely little cafe. We have been a few times, and today, my husband had sausage, chips, egg, and beans, and I had a club sandwich and a piece of Victoria sponge cake. The service is really good and all the staff are really friendly. The menu is full of variety, and there is also a specials board. I would recommend calling off here for lunch or coffe, cake and a natter.

Just had a mega breakfast. Food was perfectly cooked and presented. Very good customer service. The 3 young girls were all very pleasant and helpful. A little bit smoky, maybe a kitchen extractor fan? Very quiet background music would create a nice ambience.

The panini was so thin and small with a scrapping of tuna mayonnaise and the salad garnish you needed a magnifying glass to see it..It was just warm .2 slices of very thin brown bread with Hardly any cheese on.Took 25 mins to arrive why.Cheese on toast £2.45 a slice (disgusting).Drinks Latte Luke warm and iced peach tea ,well what can I say it was like drinking cold iced water.It’s got too expensive and the staff aren’t friendly what so ever.£15.75 down the drain never again. Beighton leisure centre cafe is better by far .I’ll stick with them

Tuesday 10th October 2023 I enjoy the meating place it's brilliant there and we look forward to going every week Since I've been going to the meeting place all the staff are really nice and friendly and polite. Myself and friend really always enjoy my breakfast and I know my friend does too and our pot of tea and I always have my ham salad sandwich

Came in here for some food after a run around the rother valley with my friend. This is a very nice corner cafe that I wouldn't have thought to have come in before. I had an oat flat white with scrambled eggs on brown toast. This was delicious and hit the spot. The food was very tasty and reasonable on price. A very nice local cafe

Wasnt impressed to be honest walked in with an unhappy member of staff who just looked at me as though I shouldnt have walked in! I had to say hello and can I sit anywhere? The answer I recieved was anywhere where there isnt a reserved sign on it ! Bear in mind my friend who I was meetin phoned and asked if you could reserve and was told no you dont have to! Overpriced coffee and food charged for a tiny amount of salad like a garnish I was asked if I wanted salad or coleslaw bear in mind nothing on menu states that that is extra charged! And came out smelling of a greasy cafe had to get changed when we both got home! Wont be back again im afraid needs a rethink of the staff friendleness , change of menu with extras added with prices and some air freshners , got the impression its not what you know its who you know hence reserved for regulars

The food is nice don’t get me wrong but the service., 20 minutes on a quiet day for a ham salad sandwich 30 minutes for a sausage and egg on a Sunday when they was not busy if you do go here make sure you are not in a rush, I’m not slating this place i dint want to effect anyones Business it’s just the slowest service I’ve ever received

Great little place in the village

What’s not to love, they serve the best full English breakfast in the most welcoming atmosphere with barista coffees and amazing cakes. This was my second visit and the quality was just as good and the staff still as friendly. Highly recommended

Superb cafe, we visit around twice a week for breakfast/Dinner or sometimes just Lattes everything is spot on. Food ,drinks and staff are all polite and friendly. Keep up the good work

Called here for the first time and had a delicious traditional breakfast. Excellently cooked with a delicious coffee, all at a reasonable price. The quality of the bacon was first class and nicely cooked. The eggs were done to perfection. The tinned tomatoes and beans were at the right consistency and temperature. Most excellent. Highly recommended.

Although they serve the best English breakfast I’ve had around this part of Sheffield (everything was cooked perfectly) it is not a greasy spoon, it’s a charming lovely little cafe with an amazing selection of coffees, hot chocolates and delicious looking cakes. It’s table service and there’s plenty of room. The staff are so friendly and this combined with the quality of food is why there was so many regulars on first name basis coming in to eat. One lovely very elderly couple looked so happy tucking into there breakfast together remarking how they’d been looking forward to this all week. neither of the elderly was able to walk properly but the lovely lady who was front of house helped them in such a way that wasn’t patronising but more like a best friend or relative giving some assistance. It was lovely to see and this warm, kind and cosy atmosphere made my delicious breakfast taste even better. Highly recommended and I will be coming again next time with my family.

Love this little place! Food is cooked as you order so that it is served hot and fresh, it's set out lovely. The staff are friendly and helpful and there Is always such a nice atmosphere! Literally a meeting place for friends/ family to gather. Well priced for the food quality! Would highly recommend a visit!

Just had small breakfast there, and it was rather nice! I would have given 5 star had the sausage been grilled rather than deep fried ( just my preference). Nevertheless, tasty, well presented and decent value for money. The staff are polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend this little place, I will be back!

Just finished eating one of the nicest cooked breakfasts I’ve ever had. Their Brunch Breakfast had Good quality bacon & sausage cooked to perfection. Scrambled eggs were perfectly fluffy and beans were a nice consistency, the toast was perfect and chips were also a nice addition. My girlfriend had a lighter option of a jacket potato and side salad and gave high praise to the potato and freshness of the salad. Two meals and two drinks for less then £15 was a bargain, will definitely be returning soon!

Great little place for somthing to eat

Four off us went for a Sunday morning breakfast, We had to book as heard it gets busy, not surprised as its great food and very reasonably priced. We had four regular English breakfasts. We all found there to be plenty, it was lovely and hot and of very good quality. We will definitely go again, maybe try at lunchtime as looking at the menu there are plenty of really good choices. A little gem in the heart of Beighton.

Had afternoon tea today, absolutely amazing! The sandwiches were so fresh (cheese, egg mayo, cheese and cucumber, ham), the chocolate orange scones were to die for! With jam and clotted cream (Could choose from chocolate orange or fruit scones) selection of cakes to choose from (had to take home as was too full) around £12.95 per person - would recommend to anyone! The cafe gets soooo busy on a Sunday with people having breakfasts so would be ideal to book.

Very nice. Staff welcoming nothing to much trouble. My food was a traditional breakfast, one of the nicest breakfast I have had, cooked just right, no scrimping on quality. Had a pot of tea for two as well just what was needed to set me up for the day. Very good menu with plenty to choose from. All in all a very nice place should be more star's for the Meeting Place

Wow what a lovely find! Best full English I have had in a long time. The place is clean, the staff are very friendly they do a very good pot of tea. Will definitely be back.

Walked in mid morning for a catch up and coffee, initial welcome felt a little cold and when we said we just wanted coffee it felt positively frosty. That said, the coffee was lovely as was the next round of coffees and service seemed to warm up at this point. Menu looked great and next time we are not on a time constraint we will sample the full menu.

Go every Saturday, food excellent, staff and service excellent. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed

We feel so lucky to have had The Meeting Place cafe recommended to us - the food is always hot and delicious, plus they have wonderful coffee. Finally, the owner and his team are just so chatty and welcoming. We would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely cafe.

The Meeting Place delivered four excellent afternoon teas for myself and friends today. We all enjoyed the food immensely, although we had to save the cakes as we were so full. Fresh and delicious food. Highly recommend

Visited here for the first time this morning 11am. Extremely warm welcome. We hadn't booked but there was a free table. Gentleman who served us was lovely. We both had a mini bfast. They do a traditional and mega too. Pot of tea for 2. We were asked a couple of times if we wanted a refill or more water. Plenty in the teapot for 2 cups each though. Lovely crockery. The food was delicious. No hurry to get rid of us. Only £5 each total. Extremely clean place, light and airy. If you haven't tried this place, hurry up and do so. I'm certainly going again with my husband and other friends.

The food is usually if good standards. The coffee delicious. Staff and the owners are always lovely and friendly. However this is not the most oiled engine of efficiency. The standards of delivering the food are atrocious. The meeting place opened and me and the wife thought we'd try it 2 years ago... Our first experience was terrible. How can one get a sausage and cheese sandwich wrong and take 30 mins to get it. My meal was ready before the sandwich and so we ate seperatly. The owner did give us our drinks For free to make amends. I have taken the children in several times since and it's been fine. However. I've been twice this week. The first experience this week was taking our daughter for breakfast. I waited 40 mins for our food to arrive. They had taken too many orders and couldn't keep up but kept the customers at the tables waiting whilst people collected their sandwich orders. Both times I've waited more than 30 mins for our food to arrive. The biggest insult was this. A builder or handy man was doing some work for the owner. He arrived after me and my family. We ordered promptly. Our drinks arrived. Then ten mins later the owner then placed the builders breakfast on an empty table right begind us when we ready waited 20 mins. I kept seeing people turn up for a takeaway sandwich and leave withing 5 or ten mins whilst me and my family sat and waited whilst the owner fed the handy man. 25 mins wait, I started to become impatient after the conduct of the owner. He may not have realised that feeding his handyman before a paying customer thst had been waiting now 30 mins might have upset the customer. It did. Enough to not want to go back ever. I may order a takeaway sandwich Me and the family won't be back. My wife was sceptical about going but I said give it chance they were really busy. I put the first day down to things starting to open backnup and the shop being in high demand. But to ha R the same experience when there was no one else there re enforces that they cant run a piss up in a brewery. Today it was empty. Except the takeaway service. If the cafe cannot keep up with the demand of people eating in then in shouldnt be a cafe. It should be a takeaway. Its a real shame Because the owners are really lovely people and starting the cafe in the village is a great thing. However they missed the target on the cafe. I don't know if there is a new cook in there or what but whatever has changed is defo not a good thing. Such a shame I feel I've had to write this review Becuase the people are so lovely. But being nice doesn't run a cafe.

Its nice to be able to sit outside a cafe again and have a coffee in a real cup. This cafe has adapted to the new covid regulations with a new outside seating area. Excellent coffee and scone.

I ordered the veggie afternoon tea for delivery and it was amazing! Arrived right on time and included more variety than usual for us vegetarians such as a mozzarella and pesto sandwich, the bread was so soft and fresh and the scone was also perfect, which includes clotted cream, butter and Jam in little pots and your choice of cake-also delicious! Really reasonably priced and such a lovely treat!

Lovely, clean cafe. They do great breakfasts cakes and specials. Also provide cream teas with sandwiches to take away at reasonable prices. A real asset to Beighton.

Bob is always keen to provide exactly what the customer wants. Very occasionally the service can be a little slow, but this doesn't hinder the overall experience too much

While in lockdown my wife and myself have been walking in and Beighton and as treat we tried the take away service from the Meeting Place, we only bought the lemon drizzle cake, but it was worth the diversion from our usual walk. The cake was fresh, moist and very enjoyable. The Meeting Place is now a regular stopping off place on our walks. Thanks to all at the Meeting Place. Stewart

A really nice and friendly café. Doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is and does it well. All the usual cafe food and drinks are available. Tea is excellent and everything is reasonably priced.

Found this little place whilst shopping locally. Atmosphere and service is perfectly acceptable, my tuna panini was delicious. It's only a small place seemingly run for locals, but it is worth a visit if in the area.

Lovely friendly little cafe with great food

Called in for something different instead of a sandwich shop and glad we did. Had omelette and was fresh and hot. Lady on the counter (Thursday 4th apr) was very friendly. Will definitely go again.

One of the best places I've been too for a good old fashioned traditional breakfast. Plenty of quality home cooked food at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
