Am I asking too much to have my main hot meal of the day served on a hot plate, I dislike having to rush my eating experience as my food cools overly quickly.

After noon te with a Freind was great Ramardo was great food lovely sausage roll amazing and cakes were great service amazing. Staff very friendly and help full Hotel it’s self was amazing and the grounds xx❤️

2 of the main courses were unavailable. The vegetables for the lamb course were unavailable. Alternative vegetables were given which were undercooked and cold. Potato was tasteless and cold . Did mention it to waiter whose response was sorry. £24 for a piece of lamb is unacceptable as I didn't eat the vegetables or potatoes.

Lovely hotel, scenery is breathtaking, staff are lovely but the food is very expensive and the portions are small. My partner was still hungry and it made him grumpy....The drinks order was wrong but it stayed on the bill even after they said it would be taken off. The bed is tiny and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately we won't be back.

We came ashore off the Jewel of the Seas and the captain onboard had said that we must try fish and chips in Shetlands and there were several good ones. So we selected here. There was a staff member female about 20 and she was rude to customers and a male in his late 50/60s who was maybe the owner and he screamed at people not to stand in the doorway and it was belting with rain. Coming from Australia we were shocked at how greasy it was as well as the demeaned of the staff who seemed overwhelmed - whereas they should have been happy and grateful for such a thriving business opportunity. My advise is sell and chase your dreams elsewhere.

Under new management, this favourite local has been smartened up and looks very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a good range of local ales and ciders with the usual lagers. The location is excellent, right on the towpath, close to the wharf area and a short walk from the historic town centre. A great finish to a lovely country walk.

We was served by Abi. Very polite and friendly. The Manager Emma was so Nice. We was made to feel really welcome. The food was excellent as always. Can't recommend the place enough.

We turned up 30 mins before closing and as such there wasn’t a full menu available but the very polite and patient gentleman behind the counter sorted us all out with chips/whatever meat options were available/buttered baps/curry sauce / gravy, even though we were drunk and annoying. Curry sauce and gravy were great, chips were good, and we all enjoyed the some scraps on top as well. I’ll be back to try the fish and chips… albeit at an earlier hour. Big shout out to the server who dealt really well with our inebriated nonsense.

Took Mum for lunch she wanted fish and chips. What a disappointing vist. Send fish back and was charged £1.80 for tartar sauce and 50 pence per sauce.The lady with long black her looked to be the boss was very fake. Mum decided she wanted some cake when I went to till to order was told I would be charged a further £2.00 for my card payment so in total it cost me £38 totally rip of.Will never be backbfood awful staff very rude.

Went for an evening meal in the restaurant. Ordered a burger, doubled the fries, onion rings and vegetarian bbq cauliflower bites for my partner because she's lactose intolerant. The person behind the bar came back saying they couldn't do the bites because they are cooked in the same fryer as things with milk in there for they aren't vegetarian are they? When the food came I didn't have any onion rings and not many chips at all. Complained at the bar and was told that I apparently never asked to double chips which I clearly remember doing and once the chef was asked about the onions rings I got the excuse that she forgot because she was busy, there was 2 other tables which had 4 people on and they had already been served their food. If you can't get orders right with that many customers then I dread to think what it's like on a weekend. Got the onion rings 5 mins later after id already ate my whole meal. Overall the food was meh, it wasn't anything special at all and you could get tastier for less elsewhere. Person behind the bar was friendly and apologetic so that's a plus I suppose, won't be going again. Youd be better off visiting a spoons.

This is the best cocktail bar in town. The guys here are the top notch crew. I come down here as I live quite close. The pressure is on due to the time of year. The manager, obviously stressed, but still gave me eye contact and smiled. 5☆. I'm an elderly woman enjoying a glass of wine but I don't feel awkward or that I shouldn't be here. I've worked in night clubs and bars for 52 years and yes I did lie about my age but these guys have it sorted. I cannot recommend them enough.

Always gets busy here, because the food is so good. We had the Sunday carvery. Plenty of choices and all delicious. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but we were always told what was happening so it wasn't a problem. It was worth the wait anyway.

Fuimos al almuerzo del Día de la Madre y el niño fueron las madres tratadas con el servicio de clase y la comida increíble. El restaurante estaba muy ocupado, así que el servicio estaba tardando un poco más de lo normal, por lo que siguieron disculpándose, pero no nos habíamos dado cuenta de que estaba demasiado ocupado charlando. Platos de gran calidad habituales, nadie cenó esa noche, incluso intercambiaron artículos para mi suegra. ¡Volveré, otra vez!

I visited Crookley Park Estate Cafe with one of my friends for our monthly catchup… It was the first time we had visited here, and it is set in some nice surroundings. It was Tuesday lunchtime that we visited, and the place was very busy indeed. There was a reasonable amount of parking when we arrived. The food was nice and reasonably priced. The staff were pleasant, and the food arrived promptly. The only real issue I had was the ambient noise from all the diners… I know I am an older chap, and my hearing is not as good as it use to be, but I had to work really hard to have a conversation with my friend. I guess there is not much that could be done to overcome this issue. Would I go back? Only if I could be sure that it was going to be quiet. Some of my reviews may seem unforgiving but I come from a time when everything was not “Awesome” and “near enough was not good enough”. So, if I say something is “Excellent” that is because it is somewhere better than most others… and well worth considering visiting.
