Stopped here for a bite for lunch (only 1 table left inside) and was very impressed with prompt service, food was very good value for money, portions were just right and the quality of food was excellent for the price we paid. Clean throughout with pleasant staff, would reccomend.

Stopped by here on the way home. The place was empty but the kids corner was a bonus for us and kept our 3 yr old son happy! Menu doesn't have much choice but the food was delicious! We had chicken burger and an old Smokey burger. No complaints! Staff and punters were friendly an we will definitely be back again. I dont know why there wasn't more publicity about this place as it defo needs it. Come here if u like no no fuss good pub grub and a place for the kids to play.

Saludos amables. Demanda a Walker, a mi marido y a nuestros amigos.

We went to The Carpenters Arms for a Sunday roast dinner to celebrate Mother’s Day. The food was lovely. They were really busy but the service was excellent, the waiting staff were friendly and cheerful. The roast was the best we have had at a pub.The portions were a good size with plenty of veg. All really good. We will definitely return soon.

Cafe is not as good as it used to be. They have made the menu a lot smaller. Service from the staff is great apart from the what looks to be the owner, who seems very miserable and not very welcoming. Sausages have changed and are not nice and I could see others in the cafe leaving there’s as I did mine. Poached eggs perfectly cooked however clearly lots of vinegar in the water and was not drained before putting onto toast, toast was sopping wet and tasted like vinegar.

Whilst visiting surrounding area we went here for dinner using an Itison voucher which included a 2 course meal with a glass of wine. The staff were lovely and we really enjoyed the food, there was a great variety to choose from, we had the Balmoral Chicken and the Fish and Chips followed by Ice Cream Sundaes all of which were delicious. Definately worth a visit.

A very disappointing "roast pork" Sunday lunch. Precooked sliced pork, very undercooked vegetables, roast potatoes were almost white and not in the least crispy and when asked whether it came with crackling, we were told not... whoever heard of a roast pork lunch without crackling. My friend and I ate half our lunches as didn't feel it was worth asking to change food... we could tell it wouldn't get any better than what we were served. Add insult to injury, after advising our waiter the food was terrible, we were charged a discretinery 10% Service charge, which was laughable as I had to go to the bar area to ask the waitress for a dessert menu, whilst she and her 2 colleagues just milled around chatting. The Manger was rude when questioned why he wasn't fazed by our complaint of the awful roast lunch, he just said "you ate half of it"!! First and last time we will eat there.
