I stayed at the Mariners in recently whilst visiting family in the town. The staff were very friendly and my room was comfortable with a great view. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and I will return to the Mariners when I'm next in Falmouth.

A gem of a place, highly recommended, staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. Great choice of breakfast and the food was amazing. The rooms were clean and fresh and roomy and very dog friendly. If you needed anything you only had to ask and it was delivered to your room that day. Centrally located within walking distance to the town and across the road from the lovely harbour and the maritime museum. Parking could be an issue if you stay within Falmouth but if you explore further it shouldn't be a problem. Will definitely be going back.

Not £200 a night standard, room was very cheap and felt not finished decorating perhaps? - very very rude manager called John who really should keep opinions to himself and completely ruined the end of a great day celebrating a birthday - but very dog friendly

Lovely friendly refurbished hotel and restaurant. Staff were very accommodating and our double room was beautifully clean with just the right amount of furniture with a nice comfy bed. Room was equipped with plenty of tea/coffee facilities. Our room #8 had a private shower room just across the corridor which was perfectly fine for our stay. Breakfast was included with lots of choice and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend and stay there again

The best meal I've had in Falmouth for a very long time. We will be back and regularly, can't wait to try more ! Although the small plates were changed to the lunch menu only, the chef agreed to do 4 for me as we were early and they weren't yet busy. So grateful she did. Have had tapas all over including Spain and I can honestly say tonight's was the best I've ever had Thank you so much !

Don’t be tempted to eat at the chains close by, make sure you book dinner in - great service and welcoming atmosphere. Parking right opposite, location slap bang opposite the maritime museum and we enjoyed lovely walks to the castle and beaches and the best bit … our dog was welcome too. Visited today for my Mother's Day lunch treat. I had the asparagus starter and my husband had the soup, we both had the roast beef and finished with sticky toffee pudding. We both enjoyed every bite and I can honestly say it was the best pub roast we have had and this will now be our go-to place for a Sunday roast. I would not hesitate to recommend it. The service was great, the food was delicious, I had 2 cocktails which were both lovely and the bill wasn't as much as I was expecting which was a pleasant surprise. All in all - loved it.

Absolute outraged by my visit to the cutty last night!!, I'm a local man borne and raised in Falmouth, I've been going there on and off for a number of years now, I even took all the staff from my place of work there for for a few drinks at Christmas time, never had a problem. I was out on my birthday meal with friends and family at a different restaurant, we decided to go to the cutty afterwards for a few drinks which wouldn't be usual thing to do, on entrance to the pub I was immediately stopped by an unpleasant man who took one look at me and refused to service drink because we were " too drunk and there are familys here" I had two drinks with my meal prior to that and my friends had only had the water, never have I been so insulted in a restaurant absolutely outraged by it I'm a father, I have my own business I pay my taxes, I should not be treated like that I will never be returning to that restaurant again and I also will be telling all my friends and family to never go there as well

I booked an overnight stay at the Cutty Sark as I was in Falmouth for work. I didn’t arrive until nearly 2130, the barman was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived and the feel of the bar/restaurant area was relaxed and welcoming. My room was immaculate and very nicely decorated/furnished. My private bathroom across the landing was just as clean and again well appointed. After a very comfortable night’s sleep I enjoyed a really good “Full Cornish” and a couple of nicely made Cappucinos before departing. The General Manager serving breakfast was very friendly and welcoming. Nothing but impressed with my experience here, despite being pet friendly the public rooms and bedroom/bathroom were immaculate.

Stayed for one night recently, in room number 8, which has superb views across the marina to Flushing. The room is spotlessly clean with an extremely comfortable bed, and a good range of refreshments. A private shower and toilet is just across the hall with a great power shower. There was a lot of choice for breakfast and the vegan and vegetarian option was outstanding. The Cutty Sark is located near a good range of cafés, restaurants and shops and the beach is within walking distance. It has a great and friendly atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we had a great stay and hope to return soon.

Stayed for a couple of days- the staff were unfailingly helpful and cheerful. The rooms were ultra clean and the water pressure for the shower (it's Georgian town house, with quite narrow stairs so we weren't expecting much water pressure) is great. The decor is very chic and cool. Right opposite the main "hub" with brilliant choices for eating out, a beer garden front and rear and a beautiful bar. The breakfasts were huge and very well cooked, even the home made hollandaise on the muffins- for meat eaters, recommend the Cornish breakfast- we ate in the morning and didn't need to eat until dinner. Very good value and well worth a visit-and being dog friendly, it was extremely relaxed (we are not dog owners but there were a lot of very well behaved dogs and they were made welcome by the staff- lovely to see.

We stayed at the Cutty Sark after attending the 80s v 90s in Falmouth week. From the moment we walked through the door we were treated to a really friendly welcome - all of the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a twin room with a shared bathroom, and found it to be both clean and comfortable. It was also surprisingly quiet as we were right opposite event square. It really helped being in a room at the back of the building. The bar area is lovely and the atmosphere is really chilled - we ended up having several drinks and a nightcap. The breakfast in the morning was included in the price and it was delicious- I’m a vegetarian and really enjoyed the food. We will definitely be back and highly recommended the Cutty Sark.

Breakfast was freshly cooked for us each morning and was delicious. Unfortunately we couldn't eat in during the evening as the restaurant was closed for our nights, but there are several other options within a 2 or 3 minute walk and many others within 10 minutes walk. We spent a very happy, relaxing 2 days staying at this hotel. The room was fantastic - newly refurbished and tastefully decorated with a harbour view and opening doors to a small balcony. It was warm, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great with fab products. Most importantly to us - the owners are dog lovers and our two were welcomed with open arms, unlike many places we stay where they are just tolerated. "Can they come to breakfast with us" "Yes" ... "Can we leave them in the room?" "Yes". Unfortunately the only mealtimes we were there for were the breakfasts but they were carefully cooked and the choice and quality were great. The owners and staff are warm and chatty and we have nothing negative to say at all. We are very much hoping to return soon.

This brightly refurbished hotel is a great place to stay. It is located opposite to The Maritime Museum in the hub of this wonderful Cornish town. It is set back from the main road and the elevated ground floor restaurant and bar looks over the estuary and the Museum. I was in a bedroom at the back of the hotel but I imagine that the rooms at the front have great views out to sea. The owners and their staff were very welcoming and helpful they made me feel comfortable and at ease from the moment that I arrived. The breakfast in the restaurant was exceptionally good with plenty of choice and local specialities. Falmouth is an exciting town, it has a lot of character and the tourism and the nautical industries work together in harmony. I have no doubt that you will enjoy your stay.

Stayed here for short break on visiting Falmouth. The Cutty Sark Inn is well located within walking distance of shops restaurants and is literally across the road from the marina area. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, modern decor. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Myself and a few members of my family stayed here for 2 nights, from the moment we walked through he door we were made to feel welcome, the 2 owners are really friendly and welcoming as is all the staff who work here, we arrived at lunch time and ordered food, the owners took our bags to the room while we ate lunch, the food was great I would definitely recommend ordering from the menu, excellent fry in the mornings also for breakfast. There is a great atmosphere in the pub, good music played in the background and a pool table if you fancy a few games. We all really enjoyed the stay and can’t wait to get back again next year. Great wrk cutty sark

On our list of places to eat the recently refurbished Cutty Sark has come a long way from its boisterous days as a 'pub'.

It was all shut up last year so now open thought we'd try it. As a bar nice, but as a venus to watch the 6 Nations - sorry, not good - half time free snacks were.., well we left and went up the road to the 5 Degrees West.

We called at the Cutty Sark each evening for a drink before going on to a restaurant. It is very much an old style drinkers pub but the service was good and the ale very drinkable.

The atmosphere and the staff were excellent and the beer battered cod and chips was amazing. Large pieces of fish beautifully cooked and terrific value. Well recommended

We only popped in for a drink but was tempted into a couple of snacks from the lite bites board. Onion rings are big and batter is nice and light and crispy. Bit disappointed with the crispy sprats as there weren’t many. Friendly bar staff

One of the best Sunday lunches (and I’ve had a fair few). Lovely atmosphere, excellent food, reasonably priced. The pub dog is adorable!

Went in to watch the rugby, and tried the onion rings and other fried stuff. Sorry, pretty poor. Probably why we were the only customers. The pub next door was heaving.

We stopped for an ice cream while on the search for our car keys which we lost on the beach!! 🤦🏽♀️ The rum and raisin ice cream was AMAZING and no complaints from the kids and hubby with their choices! The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x

Been coming here for many years, it is an absolute joy every time we come for a meal. Today me and my mother came for afternoon tea and everything was delicious and delectable, as it always is. The service is absolutely flawless, all the staff are exceptional and extremely welcoming, especially the manager. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a perfect meal out.

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

I will start by saying the restaurant did reduce our bill and throw in a few free extras but we were very surprised by the quality and portioning of the food. At the time the cafe was very quiet but the staff seemed a little bit chaotic. Orders not being put through properly, items missed off and not knowing what beer they had available. A couple of us ordered the chicken burger (£13) and my son had the kids version (£8.50) but his came with chips. I was pretty shocked when we both received exactly the same sized portion. A small bun, 1/2 a small chicken fillet and one piece of lettuce, not exactly worth £13. The staff did even comment that they there was an issue but still felt it was fine to serve and just expect people to pay. The pizzas were but ok but again surprised when we we charged £3 for 2-3 sliced olives as an extra. We've eaten at many other places up and down the coast and based on our experience we would not return.
