Sat outside in the sunshine. Had a well poured pint of Guinness and opted for the fish and chips, which was the best I've had in ages. We didn't have to wait long for the meal and the service was great.

Great food and wide selection of beers, ciders and wines. Unfortunately we were too hungry to photograph our food (mussels provencale with beef dripping chips and belly pork) so just some drinks, excellent rose peach sangria and cointreau coffee.

Had a lovely day out. Court the ferry from Plymouth to Cawsand. Had a walk around the a light lunch at The Devonport Inn..service was great. Food excellent. We had the small fish and chips, one mush peas/ one garden peas. Only thing was we didn't read the blackboard correctly.. Small fish and chips. £8.50p But the peas was extra £2.50p. Each mushy and garden peas. We went inside to eat as The seagulls were flying down and taking The pasty's out of people 's hands. The day was perfect..The young man on the ferry was brilliant with everyone.

We went here for dinner and came back the following day for lunch since we had such a lovely time. Nice local vibe and delicious food, with beautiful views of the water if you're sitting outside. Luckily they were serving food at around 8:30pm when we arrived (which can be late in some places!). Very dog friendly, as any place in the area.

Great location in a great village. Good selection of drinks, we stood outside looking out over the water, watching the boats. You can choose between glass or plastic cups, so you can take your drinks safely onto the beach. Friendly staff and locals, the food looked good but we didn't eat. Great atmosphere, mixture of adults and families, dog friendly.

It's a lovely pub on a sunny day. Very good food, nice place to walk to from Maker Church. Great views out to sea.

We had coffee, and it was very good!! Staff were friendly. You can sit in or outside. Beautiful place, but today was sunny and nice, so we sat outside! The view is just breathtaking. Highly recommend.

Wonderful fish, chips and starter. Staff are very approachable and knowledgeable about the area. Recommended some great countryside walks. Spotless throughout, big fireplace in the corner. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Love this waterfront pub. I had the most delicious pasty I have ever tasted, beautifully moist inside, almost like a cross between a pasty and a pie. Views are wonderful and staff so friendly.

Stopped for a quick half. Really friendly service, it looked cosy, and I'd eat here in the future. The outside seating looked great for a summers day as it overlooked the lovely beach.

Visited on a busy Saturday,we had the fish and chips,they were amazing! Compliments to the chef. The two gentlemen serving were amazing too,great service. We shall definitely be visiting again.

We have been to this pub many times, sometimes we walk from Mount Edgecombe and sometimes we drive. The food is great and there are a lot of Gluten Free Options and they are listed on the menu which for me is brilliant as most of the time you tend to feel like an after thought, as in most places they can’t be bothered to put it on the menu and you have to ask. We have no hesitation in returning to this pub.

What a treat! When you walk in you see the Chalk Board with a fantastic array of the pub's food offerings including the specials for the day. Taste buds alerted you move to the bar with a selection of real ale and ciders along with other options if the first two drink categories don't float your boat. We had booked a table inside but we couldn't get over how many people and dogs were sitting outside on wood stools overlooking the beach drinking a pint accompanied by a DA Cornish Pasty! The food was fantastic! For starters, my son and I did a deal to share a DA Pasty and the most fantastic Moules "Tom Yum" (lemongrass, chilli, galangal, lime) with homemade sourdough bread! The mains were fantastic too. The butcher’s pork sausages, mashed potatoes, onion gravy, and beer-battered Cornish haddock with ‘proper’ triple-cooked beef dripping chips went down well with the younger members of the party. Myy wife and I had different fish specials - Skate Wings with the triple-cooked chips and Hake with Coconut Rice respectively. I sampled all 3 types of fish but the orientla-inspired Hake was superb! As usual, I still found enough room for their melt-in-the-middle chocolate desert with homemade white chocolate ice cream. The rest of the party ate different combinations of the ice-cream. The day before visiting the local dog walkers had all created the Devonshire Arms as the best eaterie in the area. I'm sure I'd find it hard to find better!

Returned to the Devonport on a winter visit to Kingsand. Staff and customers were as friendly as ever and the food was great. I had braised beef and Mrs D had a soup of the day to start before having an afternoon tea with Prosecco. All was top quality; the beef was ‘melt in the mouth ‘ and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Loved it.

Absolutely delicious! Enjoyed a Sunday lunch here - beautifully cooked local fish, lush fish and chips and delicious pigeon. Fab deserts too. Super friendly staff, and a beautiful sea view. Highly recommended and we’ll be back for sure!

I'm wondering whether we just caught this place on an off night based on the other reviews! We attended as a couple on a Sunday in October for an early dinner sitting. The good, the atmosphere of the pub is nice. The food we found to be fairly basic, whilst perhaps better than the other pubs directly in Kingsand we didn't find it to be anything special. The prices charged suggested that it'd be a nicer meal than what we received which was a real shame. There were only two servers on, they seemed rushed and didn't have time to put any care into what they were doing, we ate and left as quickly as we could. Three stars from us, as it is just that, fine, or at least it was on a Sunday evening in October.

Food lovely and friendly staff!!!

I took my little girl here on Saturday, the staff are very friendly and will always try to help. Their mackerel sashimi is the best I've had and I always look forward to it when visiting Kingsand. The children's menu has a great selection of homemade options. The pub is lovely and has a great atmosphere.

Had a great meal at The Devonport Inn on their reopening night after their annual break. Food was way above your normal pub grub and will definitely be back soon. The only slight downside to the evening was watching the young waiter brush back his floppy hair every 30 seconds which is probably a trait to which he is probably not aware of but really not acceptable when serving food and drink. Apart from that we had a very memorable evening and enjoyed having some banter with some locals

The restaurant is packed during lunchtime, so make sure you call them first to book a table. The food was great. No complaints at all. We had some wine, a dover sole, moules, and ice cream. The only downside is there’s no wi-fi signal inside.

A lovely gorgeous spot to eat. Book early for inside though. We didn't and its first come first serve with the out side seats. We managed to grab one and I have to say eating outside was better. Just see the pictures

Had a great seafood lunch with the children a few weeks ago. Some great fresh mackerel sashimi and a whole crab cracked and demolished by all of us. Great relaxed atmosphere, stunning view and excellent food at a good price. Highly recommend food and the rum old fashioned was a beast too!

Had the sea bream from the specials board and my husband had the sausages mash and onion gravy and we shared some of their triple cooked chips fried in beef dripping, which were amazing dipped in his gravy! The bream came with roasted new potatoes, runner beans and a sauce vierge. I really don't like olives but the sauce was amazing and I eat forkful after forkful of it on its own, it was absolutely stunning!!! The sausages were great too, from a local butchers who I can highly recommend. For around £40( which includes a pint each!) we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and are lucky to live just a few miles from here so are already planning to return next weekend for the bank holiday!!! Highly recommend trying here, oh, and the view is just as stunning as the food! ❣️

Amazing pub. I have been here numerous times throughout the seasons and never fails to disappoint. The food here is amazing you have to try the arancini, the muscles, the sticky toffee pudding and everything else🤣. Perfect setting for some great food and drinks.

What a fantastic setting! Dog friendly, child friendly, lovely food, and a friendly team. It's right above the beach, and a short walk from the pay & display car park. I recommend calling ahead to book a table.

Two of us had sea bass - the portions were very small - not a full meal. Earlier in our stay the portions were OK

Great pub, staff friendly & good beers

The Devonport Inn is a very popular harbourside pub with excellent food. It is also very dog friendly - a big plus! We both had sea bream for the main course, complemented by new potatoes, cherry tomatoes, broccoli and a tasty sauce. We both scored it a high 9 out of 10. For dessert I had the best tarte tartin I have ever had - a certain 10. My wife’s pavlova deserved a 7. Both young waiters were pleasant and helpful and contributed to a great meal. Bookings are essential. Full marks to all the staff at the Devonport for a great food experience - both front of house and in the kitchen.

We had a really delicious lunch here, started with halloumi and roasted cauliflower tacos, followed by sirloin of beef and a very tasty Yorkshire pudding. The vegetables we cooked perfectly as was the gravy, we were so full but managed a couple of scoops of homemade ice cream. The pub was friendly and full, best make a reservation , you still outside enjoying the sunshine but can’t book a table outside. Would definitely recommend going to The Devonport Inn.

What a lovely pub! The food was outstanding and so tasty! I am gluten free and the options are endless which is always fantastic! Lots of local fresh options too! Lunch time is from 12-2:30pm and we arrived for lunch at 2:15pm and were still accommodated. Service was good and the atmosphere is great. Overall I really recommend a visit this lovely local pub for tasty food, coastal atonischere and friendly staff. Do be aware that food is served 12-2:30pm then 6pm-9pm so don’t get caught out!

Perfect spot for a pint by the water. They'll even do you take out chips to eat on the beach. Our favourite place in Kingsand.

Great place to have a drink or three 😃 inside or outside fantastically situated to soak up the beautiful views of the bay and friendly atmosphere of this beatiful cornish village. Well worth a visit.

Amazing food served lunch time and evening. Barman Able to discuss wines, spirits and cocktails and prices are not expensive. Fresh seafood and more unusual dishes too. We wish we had discovered thus earlier as this was our last day.

Fantastic seafront pub! Cosy and busy inside but also has seating out the front overlooking Kingsand bay. The food was 5* especially the king prawn tacos!

I thought I knew moules, until I had the same from the Devonporti Inn. You literally haven’t had moules until you’ve had theirs. They were big, juicy and fresh. The sauce was so delicious I was begging for more bread to soak it up and eventually spooned it out like a glorious garlic soup. Can’t recommend this pub enough .

First class fodder. Try the Mackerel sushi! Wowzers. Just had the moules mariniere updated from my last trip, absolutely the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to try to Scallops caught just off the beach!

Open fire, friendly staff and great atmosphere (even on a Monday in February). The food was excellent, especially the lightly battered fresh mackerel on sour dough. Chairs and tables outside will be very special places to sit when the weather warms up as the Inn is right on the water front. Really enjoyed out visit to Cawsand an Kingsand and we will be back

A breezy and glorious day for walking and a quick stop for a coffee. The aroma of food immediately on entry to the pub....and looking around the meals on the table looked very appetising. Alas not for me today. A takeaway on the beach. Pleasant staff and a nice coffee. The pub has a good feel...

Together with the Rashleigh Inn on Par beach, this is one of my absolute favourite pubs not just in Cornwall but anywhere. There was a slight smell of woodsmoke, there were locals leaning on the railings overlooking the beach on the other side of the no-traffic lane from the pub, the fox was fabulous, the service prompt and friendly, the beers well kept and delicious. I had braved the sea (in pants as it was unplanned) briefly and taken in the stunning scenery of the bay and shore and sea from the water itself. Our dog played on the beach and in the water as did our children. We were delighted to find other English pointers as well, quite a rarity. Absolutely, unreservedly LOVED our brief visit for lunch and half a pint.

We ate once on our first night in kingsand with our dogs. It was really nice, the chef came out for a chat and made a fuss of our dogs which was nice. Food was lovely, not a huge choice but it was November and quiet. We played board games while we were waiting which was a nice touch. We returned with our friends for drinks later in the week and again we’re really impressed with how friendly everyone was. A really great little pub.

lucky to have a mate with a house near the Devonport, we used the other two pubs in the village and enjoyed them but as we were so close to the Devonport it was our eater and not dissapointed either, staff were great company and...

Recently spent a week in Kingsand as a birthday treat with the family. We ate there once but didn't really enjoy it - all 6 of us were a bit underwhelmed with the choice and the quality.....the triple cooked, beef dripping chips were not nice...

We used this pub as a launch point for a "pub-circular" walk around the South-West Coast path. The food was good (we had the fish and chips) and the service was prompt, friendly and attentive. I went in about to ask if they were dog friendly and was met with a view of almost all tables occupied by families with dogs - so clearly they are! They have local beers and ciders.
