A fantastic village old-fahioned pub that also has a large dining area serving reasonably priced, delicious pub grub. James has an incredible ability to recall your preferred tipple even if you only pop in occassionally!

A refreshing change from the usual chain pubs. Charlie and James genuinely care about giving you an experience that you will remember. Always going above and beyond to provide the service, ambience and customer service. The best pub /restaurant in the village and one to definitely visit if you are in the local area.

Not that many places open on New Years day so stopped off here on the way home for drinks and a couple of small plates which were just enough, it was not that busy, service was quick and then off we went on our merry way.

Attended the new Inn today for my aunt's funeral reception. Huge amount of food, hot and cold. As a coeliac the pub put together a platter of gluten free food just for me. Excellent quiche , ham and cheese sandwiches, crackers for the cheese and 4 mince pies all for me. I ended up taking some home there was so much.Will be going again for a meal soon.

We have visited several times recently and the food is always freshly cooked and served by the friendly staff in pleasant surroundings.Also the beer is reasonably priced and of a high standard.Also there are special food offers daily.We have never found the pub too crowded as it is off the main road. What a gem!

Hadn’t been in here for a meal for a very long time, but met up with friends yesterday. The place has been decorated and tidied up and looked very smart. We had three starters and three meals from the £6 mains menu. All the food was very good and the menu is excellent, typical pub food but done well. Service was fine and the beer was good too. Hard to fault!

We've been here a few times as we are never dissapointed. Staff are brilliant, food is delicious and reasonably priced. A bit of a hidden gem this place.

It was Sunday about 12.30pm and we wanted somewhere different to go for our lunch. My girlfriend came up with the suggestion of "The New Inn" . I'm glad she did! We got in just before 1. It was very quiet and wondered for one brief moment if they were serving food. We were just about to ask that question when we saw 2 gorgeous looking meals coming out of the kitchen. Question answered! Anyway we sat down and both decided on the roast dinner. My girlfriend had the chicken and I had the pork. She decided on the 2 course special at a rather attractive £10.95. Not wanting to feel left out I joined her on that, knowing full well that could be a big mistake if the roasts were too filling! Well they came out and Wow! they looked delicious. And tasted delicious too. There was plenty of it and I have to say, it beat me and I had to leave the swede as 1. I could eat no more and 2. there was a pudding to be had.Anyway to the puddings..My girlfriend had chocolate sponge and I had the berry sundae and yet again couldn't fault them! Scrumptious! Summing up, the service was superb , with very friendly staff. Our food did not take long to arrive after ordering and we were given plenty of time for the mains to go down, before our desserts arrived. Overall 10 out of 10! Many thanks for making it such a nice visit. We'll be back!

7 August 12 noon.The first thing that you notice is how well kept this place is, its spotless !!!. It even smells clean and fresh. Music is not too loud , carpet spotless and tables clean and not sticky. We've been in some establishments that are supposed to be top notch but they could do with some lessons from this management on presentation.Nice greeting from the landlord when we entered, very friendly and efficient. Sat down and went through the men. Today we both decided on the chicken tikka curry for a change. Good choice. The sign at the bar says not fast food but good food as fast as we can, and that's correct. The meals came in good time and were indeed very good, and hot. This place deserves to do well , go and give it try , nice place, good staff and good food at reasonable prices, what more could you ask for. We will be back!!!!

Dropped in for early lunch today and was glad we did. External impression of pub not great but internally its spot on..clean, smart, very well decorated. Menu not too extensive but still plenty of choice. Was reasonably priced and very tasty. Service was quick and staff very polite. This was the first time we have been here and will definitely be coming again. Weekends in particular, always worth ringing to book in for food.

Partner booked us in for Sunday lunch ,been in for drinks before on a Friday/Saturday eve but not food. Had the Sunday roast and a pud very good meal would go again to eat ,food was hot and well presented with good size portions and Nice friendly staff .

Visited here today with my daughter, some friends and their young children for lunch. It was absolutely perfect for the children with clean highchairs, toddler cutlery and plenty of crayons/books to occupy them with. The children's meals are £3.99 which includes a drink so fab value for money especially as it's a generous portion size. Adult meals were the usual pub grub, but were served hot and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again

We wanted to take the kids out for something to eat so chose here as we've never been disappointed and once again we weren't. The staff are fantastic, as is the service and the food is delicious. We ordered two Hunters chicken, two mixed grills a chicken tikka and loads of onion rings followed by puddings. The food is cooked to perfection. The prices are reasonable too, roughly £70 for five of us meals with three puddings. We'll definitely go back again.

Called here today. Not been for a couple of years as our last visit was unmemorable.

The first two things we asked for were off the menu so my son and I settled for meat and potato pie. At £11.25 I was expecting something half decent, they told us it would be half an hour wait and that the pie is really big. Our mouths were watering in anticipation, when it arrived, yes it was big, but it was a tasteless, soggy mess that had been microwaved for far too long and a huge disappointment to us. My daughter had chicken fillet burger and the little ones just had some garlic bread as they had eaten previously. The 3 stars are for the staff and the burger, 0 stars for the pie.

Ate here twice the food is fantastic and very reasonable price the curry as good as any decent Indian resturant and the grill night was fantastic great quality and hard to finish the generous portions. The inside is warm clean and although modern it reflects the area and pubs history.

A good local's pub which also welcomes newcomers. The beer is well kept and the food is value for money.

We booked here to have a three course Christmas Dinner and so glad we did. £15 each and it was gorgeous. The staff are very friendly and it was worth every penny. We had prawn cocktail starter, full turkey Christmas Dinner and a chocolate cake pudding with ice cream ( can't remember what it was called but it was delicious) well impressed.

We visited yesterday for our pre christmas treat! We had the festive menu. The food was absolutely delicious and everything was cooked to perfection. The service was brilliant, the staff were all very helpful, polite and extremely attentive. I cannot fault anything. It was absolutely wonderful and very highly recommended. Having moved to Little Eaton over the summer, we thought it was about time we visited the recently refurbished New Inn. First impressions were good. Nicely decorated & the staff are friendly. A good ‘pub grub’ menu choice catering for all tastes.

Its been 12 months since i last visited this establishment and that was a disaster. But what a transformation. Excellent greeting from the landlord and staff. The whole place has had a make over without changing the lay out, which is good . All new chairs and tables and the carpet had a bounce to it. A relaxing and pleasant experience. The food was ordered and came in good time. I had beef casserole with mash for a change , my companion had the steak pie as in pictures. Both meals were hot and tasty. Now after all that you could be thinking why only a 4 and not a 5. Well the only fault i found was the toilets which are still to have a total revamp, this is on the cards to be done. Well done team , great job, well worth a visit.

Large group of 20+ food was delicious service was fantastic. Did pre order due to large booking had contact with a lady called Jo ( I hope thats the right name) throughout. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend great price fantastic food and staff. Really made my grandmas birthday celebrations special. Thanks once again. P.s loving the refurb.

We had lunch here recently. The service is very friendly and helpful. The plaice was perfect and the child's menu had plenty of choice, We did not have to wait long for the food which was piping hot.

Had a lovely Sunday Lunch here yesterday. Plenty of choices and was very hot when it arrived. Gluten free gravy was available but just need there to be a few more GF options.

We chose to have a light lunch. I had lasagne and my husband had breaded plaice. Both meals were well presented and really tasty. Even better, they were real value for money. Helpful staff.

Well we went to the new inn in November last year when over in England

We arrived about 1.15 pm, the pub was quiet but warm and welcoming. Ordered from the lite bites menu, fish and chips and hunters chicken. We ordered two pots of tea as well and when they arrived they were not very warm. My friend took them back to the bar and they were replaced with a fresh pot with boiling hot water, excellent and well enjoyed. The meals arrived shortly afterwards and were delicious. Despite being on the lite bites menu they were adequate for us both. Toilets clean but could do with some refurbishment. Overall a good visit and would certainly return in the future.

Recommended by friends who are locals, two of us decided to grab an early dinner. I chose one of the curries on offer, while my friend opted for lasagne. My curry was very tasty and nicely presented with rice, popadom and warm naan bread. I enjoyed it all, and it was very good value for money.

I understood The New Inn used to have a good reputation, sadly those days are long since gone. The place is sad and tired, if it were mine id knock it down and build houses on the plot, dirty tables, screaming baby, a pie with rock hard pastry, vegetables straight from school dinners. Do you get the picture??? the beer wasn't bad and the whole disappointing experience wasn't expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for.

What a let down, tell it as i see it, Tables had glass rings on them, need a good scrub .

We have been going past The New Inn for years but today we decided to call in,I ordered the sirloin steak with the salad and I can honestly say its the best piece of meat I've had for a long time,my partner had the lamb rack which was excellent and the sweet potato are to die for so we will call again the only down side were the frozen chips and the sticky table we sat at both minor problems.

Fuimos los primeros en y recibió una señorita que atendió la orden de bebidas, pero ella parecía un poco estresados. Encontramos una mesa y miramos el menú que tenía una buena selección. Decidimos probar el 3 platos por £5. 95. Esto me dio una opción de arranque seguido por elección de principal y pudines. Me decidí por las setas empanadas para empezar y hunter como principal pollo con esponja brambly apple para finlandeses. Mi pareja también fuimos de setas empanadas con sobresaliente y piña y pegajosa a pudding de toffee finlandés. Aunque las porciones no eran grandes, había mucho para un almuerzo, y por el precio todos los platos estaban servidos con rapidez y muy caliente. Las mesas estaban limpias, así como las alfombras, todo ordenado. Para resumir un almuerzo muy agradable a un precio muy bueno. Volveremos.

We waited over 30 minutes for our sunday lunch to appear, when it did finally arrive, it was cold, the veg was hard and basically tasted awful.Not somewhere i would recommend or go to again.

I went out with my Father this evening and we decided to pull in to the New Inn as we fancied a bite to eat. It was valentines night and it was rather subdued. The staff are very pleasant and the decor was nice. I enjoyed a very nice pint of Pedigree. However the food was disappointing. We waited for more than half an hour. I had the inferno burger. THe burger itself was billed as red hot but the heat was only really discernible in the last few bites. I must say that the chips were slightly overdone. My dad had the sirloin steak which was very disappointing, It was insipid and gristly as though it was poor quality meat that that had been in storage too long....

We visited The New Inn for a large family meal new landlord and landlady were fantastic very attentive and keen to make a difference in what was fast becoming another Marstons shambles!! The difference starts at the door the entrance is cleaner and more inviting. The food was much better than our last visit, same menu but presented better and served piping hot. (Compliments to the young chef) The pub is warm and much cleaner with an atmosphere to suit. I had a couple of pints of pedigree and it was possibly the best kept pint of pedigree I have sampled! (I have sampled a few). Hopefully Marstons will back this enthusiastic couple and give them the backing to continue their hard work. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends. Keep up the hard work.

Our first visit for many years. The new manager is eager to refresh the offering here. The beer was kept well.A lovely pint of Thwaite's; but the food is currently very disappointing. I assume that they are stuck with what Marston's put on the menu. Will revisit soon to see what's happened to improve the place in light of tough competition locally

The brewery are at fault, too many temp managers has brought disinterest in doing a good job. The place has become shabby , hold your nose if you visit the toilets , food is at best average and short measures on each pint pulled , little wonder regulars are keeping out letting in an element of loud foul mouthed individuals . A quiet word in their ear would not go amiss.The good news ,a new permanent licencee has been appointed ....things can only get better , best of luck to them.

Visited here after walking out in Derbyshire for a quick drink. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty. There was no atmosphere,no background music and the Tory party Conference on tv.... Says it all really. Will not return to this tired, shabby pub!

the new inn has all ways been a favorite place of ours, but we called in yesterday and it was under new management, a lovely welcome, so nice staff, clean and comfy and the food was so good. chicken tikka masala chips nan bread and popodoms with chutney, lovely hot plates as well, dave had the turkey roast and he said it was fab. plus a lovely warm welcome from the landlord nick named curly, you will understand when you see him. so thanks we will be back soon.

We eat here quite often for the lunch menu. Three courses for 6.95 and a drink for a pound. No need to say more! Food is good pub grub.

Arrived as a group of four. Was told that there were still Sunday roasts available. Menu stated they included yorkshire puddings, new potatoes and roast potatoes. Food arrived quite quickly but minus yorkshire puddings and new potatoes. When questioned, our server said they'd run out of potatoes and yorkshires. Not a hint of an apology. The 'roast' potatoes were actually deep fried and oozing oil. The chicken was obviously frozen and probably microwaved.When it came to pay, I paid and politely asked for a receipt. The server gave me a receipt for another customers order and immediately disappeared. After waiting for five minutes, we gave up and went home, disappointed and still hungry. We won't be returning until there is a change of management.

If you want a cheap and quick tea you won't be disappointed plus a glass of beer and glass of wine for a £1 each,marvellous .

Had the loaded chicken with bbq sauce. It turned up chicken and chips. The lady then informed me they had run out of the bbq sauce and proceeded to put a bottle of heinz bbq on the table Bit bad not informed before hand could have changed my choice

Ate here on a wednesday evening after a late finish at work. We both had the Wednesday curry deal. £11.20 for the both of us for curry, rice, poppodum, chutney & nan including a drink (pint of beer or glass of house wine).Great varied selection on the menu and would definitely visit again.

Lunch at this pub was not memorable. Staff were pleasant. Many choice large but what you would expect of a Marston pub. I had the set lunch for a very low price. Need and air pie with chips and peas were nice enough. Desert had Apple's blackberies and custard in a crumble care served with custard was delicious. However my companion had requested steak medium rate it was medium to well done and very chewy. The landlady Checked and agreed it was below standard, a refund for his meal was given which was a lovely feature. Be warned doors do not open till 12

The NEW INN Little Eaton is under new management since December 2015 and you are made welcome by the new landlord and landlady with a friendly smile and a homely atmosphere.My wife and myself had an excellent meal from the extensive menu, served piping hot and with bare minimum waiting time, the staff were extremely pleasant, efficient and attentive to any of our needs.A most enjoyable experience and we shall definitely be returning again,good friendly eating places are hard to find but we have struck lucky here.

A group of us go every Sunday and Tuesday. The new management and staff are doing a great job,the food is excellent with very little waiting time. I don't know which New Inn JRM went to but the day his/her comments were made we were there and didn't see any of the things reported, the hoody was the pot washer going home and he didn't do any serving. We will continue to visit as the warm welcome good beer and excellent food are well worth it. We highly recommend this place

Called last min on Mother's Day morning to book a table. New management since the last time I reviewed so thought we'd give it a go. Food was great, no problem with anything but we were one of few tables in. Enjoyed the meal completely.

Staff seem quite disconnected and not focused. Ordered Sunday lunch waited half an hour. ( I noticed the lame reply to a previous commenter that 25min is not unusual however having been in the hotel trade myself I would never offer that as an excuse as it would only serve to alienate your customer even further. It is polite to keep your customers informed of any delays and provide reassurances that they have not been forgotten as it is that suspicion which is more annoying than the actual wait. Customers want to feel that they are valued. ) Sadly the meal was incomplete so had to point it out. No reassurances or reasons offered. Pretty much "take it or leave it disposition".Whole operation seemed disorganised. Some staff dressed in tracksuit hoodies which I thought inappropriate if owners want to project a hygienic image. My kindest advice is go to the Cherry trees or Kings Highway and take note of how to do it properly. Would I revisit? frankly no!.

Opening time is 12 noon, we were there around 11.40. Big car park, clean and tidy; doors opened at 12.01 - inside was worth the wait. While everyone was being seated I got a pint of Pedigree in, which was excellent. Ordered curry with rice nan bread and extra chips, others ordered different main courses - all enjoyed. Pedigree went down so well, I had another. While everyone was enjoying their sweet, ordered coffee - came just the way I liked it - made an excellent end to an birthday lunch

Nipped in around one o'clock not many in but a lot of tables reserved but we had prawn cocktail which came with a lovely fresh side salad and plenty of prawns and tomato soup. Then scampi and Cajun chicken which came hot and plentiful and the plates were hot so in all it was really nice and we will be back

Well what a fabulous meal we had.My partner had the mega mix grill and he thought it was the best he had in a long time.The meats he was sure cooked seperately as he could taste each meat with no transferred juices.I had the curry again I could not fault it just the nann could fave been a bit bigger ;-).Good value for money.

Failed to get our order right twice. We ordered and paid for 3 starters and received only 2 then charged us again to get the 3rd starter. Again with the desserts only 2 of the 3 arrived. Also the place needs a damned good clean

So disappointing about this place, have been going for years but the last few times have been a disaster since the new lady with short brown hair has started working there (I think she is the new manager) my food was served wrong to which I asked for my correct meal, I was huffed at and told that's what I ordered. Food came back cold my boyfriend was waiting for me to finish. The food was simply put onto another plate and the chicken was re heated - poorly tummy this morning. Not happy, we spent £30 there last time for utter rubbish. Lady behind bar unprofessional and rude, chef unhygienic with food saw him in the back licking his fingers the time before last. Ew!

Waited a long time for the wrong food. Partner had finished by time it was redelivered.. cold chips and reheated chicken - quite dangerous I think . No apology and arrogant stance taken . No offer of refund. The last time we will ever visit - also other members of my family will not go now. New owners we think that are clueless.. shame - it used to be quite good ( not good value anymore either)

Called in for lunch. Ordered two meals, wasn't that busy, after waiting for about an hour, the meals arrived, on which one had to be returned as it was wrong. Another 20 minutes before the correct meal was served, on which part of the meal was missing. Didn't want to complain again as I may have been waiting another 20 minutes for the missing items. No table check done, and the floor looked like a Hoover hadn't seen the light of day on it. Rather disappointing.
