Went on the 6/04/25 with my girlfriend and granddaughter for dinner . I had a steak medium/well done . Came out full of blood so sent back and waited 25/30 for my food while my girlfriend and granddaughter had eaten there’s . My girlfriend had the roast dinner with beef . The next day she had stomach cramps and vomitting . After not being able to hold any down for three days we went to A&E to find out she had food poisoning from this restaurant . Rang and spoke to manageress who was rude and said well no one else has had food poisoning . Surely one person is more than enough !!!. Pls don’t reply with your generic response and the damage is done now thank you !!! 😡😡😡

I have been in the plank and leggit on several occasions. And it's exactly what you would expect from a local pub that serves food on a budget , not spectacular but good value for money. However we have recently stopped because of rather annoying group of people that sit near the front door with an atrociously behaved dog that the owner seems to have little or no control over. It barks at every person that enters and if another dog enters the noise level goes through the roof. While I appreciate it's not the staffs job to control the dog I really think for the benefit of other customers this particular dog should be made to sit outside. The dog in question is medium size brown and white. The dogs lead has swearing on it ( which lead to a very akward conversion with my daughter ) and while it seems friendly to the staff it scared my 2 children so much they don't want to come back. It's a shame because they love visiting the nearby marina and looking at the boats.

Very nice pub. Would have given it 4* if it wasn't for the noisy dogs. Apart from that it was clean, not very busy at that time of day (morning), so plenty options for seating. Went for breakfast and I honestly can't fault it. I didn't have to wait long and everything was fully cooked and delicious. If you're round that area, it's worth a visit.

I've been a few times now, and food doesn't disappoint, neither does the staff - they're always helpful and friendly 😊 and can't complain about the atmosphere either 👍

Go regularly, food decent, the odd steak not so good but 99 percent of the time really good for the money. Staff nice, service pretty quick and nice relaxed atmosphere. Good indoor play for the little ones

Poor experience from our very short visit tonight. Booked softplay for two kids, two adults with the intention of also purchasing 4 meals + drinks. Arrived at 4pm to a completely empty softplay to be told that adults were not allowed in the softplay with the kids (this has never been an issue in the past) and that our 4 year old would have to play in the softplay by himself - which was just ridiculous for saying that there was nobody else in there. I could understand no adults if it was busy, but just felt ludicrous tonight when there was nobody around. As such we had no choice but to leave as our 4 year old was too upset and scared at the thought of going in on his own. Thus resulting in a total waste of a visit and the pub losing out in softplay earnings + food and drink. Surely it's better to use common sense and in turn receive an entrance fee + food and drink money, than to make a loss from an empty softplay. Just seems such a bizarre decision. Please can you re-consider this rule?? It was mentioned adults could go in during a parent and toddler session, so what's the difference??

Lovely Sunday lunch with the family, meals very tasty and service great as usual

But the only thing I was pissed off that my son was only just a half an inch of the height but there was someone there at the same times as us and she was definitely taller But she was on the soft play which wound my son up

Got brought out what looked like our dinners and started to eat them, then was told one of them was actually for someone else 😱

I organised a breakfast gathering for former colleagues. The pub is ideal for this sort of gathering and the staff are very helpful provided you give them notice.

Been comein here for a while now but was not very happy with the Sunday roast very small portion for the price and did not look as Advertised on the menu way smaller and no stuffing

We came today, for the first time & had a beautiful breakfast, it was one of the best ones I've had in a long time, very reasonable & i will definitely be back

11/9/20 3.50pm had a £10 off voucher in a email. Order came up to over £35 . Was told they don't work on the system and i was the 3rd person . No apology. Was told its not her fault. Is this the way to treat a customer that goes there quite regularly to eat and drink? Was the principal of no apology and no offer of I'll see what I can do for you. Very disappointed. Will not be going back just out of principal..... was nice food tho tbf

Visited yesterday with the family and we all enjoyed our experience. We all had meals and drinks and the kids went to the soft play afterwards. The meals were excellent and delicious and the service was very attentive bear in mind that the place was packed as is half term

Lovely food and great service. We go here often because they have a great gluten free menu, and the kids love the Wacky Warehouse! It's a win win! The cosy lit fires are a bonus too 😊

This was an old large pub that has a very handy but tired feel to it. It’s a place many bring their children for the play area but it’s not much beyond that. Many of us went for a birthday meal and so many meals were not available from the menu! The staff looked tired and quite miserable but the food was actually quite reasonable surprisingly. Overall it was only ok.

Lovely atmosphere great service and beautiful food as someone who struggles with an eating disorder I enjoyed the food very much n fact it was the first time in nearly a year I had sat and ate a meal properly if it wasn’t for the welcoming calm atmosphere and beautiful food I couldn’t have achieved that so many thanks to the team there at your establishment

Very happy with the service from Rachel, Angie, Lucy, Jess and all the staff (incl kitchen staff, big thanks). Went in on Saturday 1st Feb and it was fairly busy but Rachel had time to welcome us and found a nice table tucked away and were even advised it was around a 45min wait for food. No problem. Drinks were great and the food was served reasonably quickly, considering the wait time. Nothing was too much trouble for Angie and Rachel had a cheery goodbye when we left. Recommend booking a table during the weekends as it can get busy. Have visited before and always great service, if anything though maybe the tables could do with being a bit less sticky after being wiped down?

Good happy fun for the kids a reasonable price and good food. The wackywarehouse is a bit outdated and needs some repairs always been good, but even I had fun.

It gets really busy after 12 so, maybe, extra staff is required, so that food doesn't take 45 minutes to come out. Great family place, with it having soft play too

Staff were friendly. Helped us move table. Most of the food was good; though the corn on the cob on the children’s menu was overcooked and had a strange taste. Softplay was busy but well staffed.

Wonderful service, staff always happy and helpful especially Rachel, Lucy, Angie and the staff in the kitchen. Food always seems to well prepared and is also good value. Always made to feel welcome which is one of the many reasons we keep going back. Can get busy certain times of the day/week so check when it’s busy or book ahead.

We went on a Friday evening to celebrate my partners birthday so booked a table for two via the app. This was easy enough. When we arrived we were told we could sit where we liked as it was so quiet. It seemed fairly quiet with few customers all of the time we were there. Service was friendly and quick so no problems there and generally the food was good although my lady partner found the chicken skewers had a rather hard coating but I was happy with them. There was a very large range of foods to suit all tastes. Ordering could also be done from your table and paid for at the time.

Called in for lunch today. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had 2 mains, and a bottle of wine for £17.99. No complaints whatsoever. Quite a few customers making a good atmosphere. Food was tasty & Fresh. nice and hot and nicely served. Would definitelyrecommend.

Visited for the first time on Saturday and tried the Seabass - the Seabass itself was delicious and piping hot but the vegetables and garlic mash were somewhere between cold and lukewalm and when we asked where the cutlery was they acted like we were stupid for not knowing.

Toilet check list was checked off, but toilets were a mess with no toilet roll available (in children’s toilets) Food came out a different times. Adults food came out before child’s and the child’s food was burnt. I will say the lady working was friendly and smiley. Wasn’t overly busy as only 2nd January so I’d say steady.

Visted the plank and leggit for Christmas Day this year first time having Christmas dinner out will deftly be coming next year the food is out of this world and the service we resived was amazing food pipping hot and the pudding are amazing will deftly recommend to friends

Well not what I expected, Bad service from the manager even though I have known Her for years.Had to ask for our complimentary drink , no Cutlery had to ask for Christmas crackers and napkins thrown to the farther in law. Now Let's get back to the food, Brussels sprouts worst I have ever been presented. This is the worst Christmas meal ever and will Never go again. Should be ashamed of them self..

The staff and food are lovely- we have just been for breakfast with Santa! It was great 😊. The only thing I can find wrong with it is the chairs are looking a little tired in the soft play…. Thank you for a lovely morning of yummy breakfast- a gift from Santa and running the maple syrup off in the soft play!

Not been there for a few years, great menu! The Sunday roast and a drink for £10 is a great deal! Tables are oddly very sticky so had to use a menu as a table mat!

Very nice friendly place with welcoming staff but wear your eating clothes as you will need extra room to store the food that you are served.

We booked with the intention of allowing our children to go to the soft play/fun factory, having seen it on the website. However, when we arrived, there was £5 per child charge and it closed at 7pm, meaning they would only have 45mins. We moved through to the pub where we had booked a table. The food was ok, we sat at what appeared to be the family end (claw machine and toy vending machines in the area), however, my 11 year old had lots of questions about the vending machine in the toilet selling “sex drugs” and more questions about why they were selling “rings” in the toilet.

Brilliant place for a kids party it's really easy and stress free for the adults and the kids get to have a fab time running around the soft play :) Staff really friendly and food is good, adults can order of the normal menu.

Clean on arrival. Friendly helpful staff. The food was nice. Tried the milkshake and found that it was served full of ice cubes. Which made it very watery. Great for kids. Not value for my money, unfortunately.

Good local with fast served tasty food. Good menu and will return regularly for a family meal. Edited to add returned for a breakfast after a few months not being down. It was brilliant. The service was second to none and food brilliant. The bacon was really thick, generous portions and nothing was too much from the staff. Thank you :)

A group of us visit every Sunday for breakfast. We always enjoy the food with great service and banter with the regular staff. The coffee sets us up for the day and the whole thing is great value. What's not to like?
