Very nice friendly place with welcoming staff but wear your eating clothes as you will need extra room to store the food that you are served.

We had an amazing lunch with our kids and the service was over and above, thanks so much

We booked with the intention of allowing our children to go to the soft play/fun factory, having seen it on the website. However, when we arrived, there was £5 per child charge and it closed at 7pm, meaning they would only have 45mins. We moved through to the pub where we had booked a table. The food was ok, we sat at what appeared to be the family end (claw machine and toy vending machines in the area), however, my 11 year old had lots of questions about the vending machine in the toilet selling “sex drugs” and more questions about why they were selling “rings” in the toilet.

Been twice after visiting the Marina. Very nice pub, £10 for a Sunday roast! Only downside was they’d ran out of cauliflower cheese 🥹 very friendly staff!

Brilliant place for a kids party it's really easy and stress free for the adults and the kids get to have a fab time running around the soft play :) Staff really friendly and food is good, adults can order of the normal menu.

Clean on arrival. Friendly helpful staff. The food was nice. Tried the milkshake and found that it was served full of ice cubes. Which made it very watery. Great for kids. Not value for my money, unfortunately.

Good local with fast served tasty food. Good menu and will return regularly for a family meal. Edited to add returned for a breakfast after a few months not being down. It was brilliant. A group of us visit every Sunday for breakfast. We always enjoy the food with great service and banter with the regular staff. The coffee sets us up for the day and the whole thing is great value. What's not to like?

Yet again, I find myself working in the Donnington area, and have frequented the Plank and Leggit for breakfast several times this week. The staff under Rachel are always open and friendly, the food fresh and cooked perfectly for me.

Came with the family and my partner and we really enjoyed.We had an offer that consists on 2 adults meals and 2 kids meals for £15 and it was excellent.Service was very good and the place was spotless Definitely this is a place for families

Came to the tots Halloween party, the girls did a fantastic job my boy had a great time and asked to stay for more haha Had breakfast when we first arrived. I ordered and it was with me within 10mins it was all cooked perfectly thank you

We had a beautiful meal .Staff are great ,Very friendly . Lovely pub . Good service . We had an 8oz Gammon and Grilled Salmon,Chips & salad . Cooked beautifully. Highly recommended

Awful Sunday roast. Nothing freshly cooked. Very poor

hungry horse definitely isn’t a 5 star restaurant and we understand this. we went for my little brother birthday. a big starter came out with cold fries but felt bad sending things back as staff had a hostile atmosphere. so dealt with that as it was. then was waiting a good while for food to come out. when we checked cutlery there was what looked like little rock’s stuck in between the prongs on the forks. i have a picture attached too. and drinks that were on the menu weren’t actually on the menu and when ordering a £3 milkshake expecting it to be in a glass or similar, was a tiny yazoo carton. not very impressed at all, as well as no cookie pieces in the ice cream mania which was depressing. will not be returning. staff need to be re trained on attitude and food needs to be at least warm as well as having hair in my plate, blonde so definitely wasn’t any of ours, seating was also not clean which isn’t a massive deal. terrible experience all together

We had a very nice Sunday lunch here, one roast beef and one vegetable tart; both were really nice. The service was friendly and I felt it was good value at £10 for a Sunday roast dinner, including a drink.

Went there with some friends a while ago and really enjoyed it, food was good and the staff were smashing, very friendly and helpful. We meet up with our friends every Thursday now for a catch-up. The place was very quiet but we like it that way. The only complaint I have is there is that much choice on the menu we find it a bit confusing 😂 but then again we are in our 70,s

I loved it here was really nice to meet Kathleen, she was the best thing about out experience.

Disappointed, Been going for years on and off. it was the worst we have ever had , had to send two mains back due it being cold. Plus the other two mains had cold spots. Even the pudding was meant to be warm but only just.

Went for lunch today with my partner and when ordering food I stated my partner has an egg allergy. When the food was brought out with mine it had an egg sitting on top of the food and of course was sent straight back . Within 5mins it come out with them saying it was completely new plate of food that the other plate was for another table . We was sat was right out side the door where food comes out of . I did not see not once that other plate and I was looking everytime. Completely lost all trust in the food and didn’t eat it . Only plus from this was the serving staff amazing service did get a refund in the ending but can’t put a price on my partners life

All the food was lovely, managed to deal with me at my worst so I say fair play and all the food was lovely, am I a vegetarian and handled all my dietary requirements with ease

Family of 15 went last week 10 out off 14 who ate the food got food poisoning. My daughter who is only 4 and my nephew who is only 2 both had to go hospital. Its currently being investigated!

I would normally recommend this place, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone ever again I will tell people to stay clear! 15 of us went and now 14 of us have food poisoning we are from different households too, my sister comment is below and your reply is the standard sorry we did not meet your expectations please try us again??? Expectations are friendly staff, great atmosphere not bloody food poisoning that is health and safety you seriously think we would return??? My sister in law has been in touch too and had no sorry or offering any compensation just asked what food we had for the alleged food poisoning no alleged about it my 2 year old has ended up in hospital because of you! Sealed and confirmed 👌 avoid at all cost! Spent £76 (not including the rest of the party) to lose wages from work, be ill and have my child in hospital thanks for that!!!!!!!!!!!

Great meal, great service. The Plank & Leggit is our go to venue when we get together as friends with our kids. The ample car parking makes it super easy when travelling with little ones, the wacky is fab, specially the air con when it’s sooooo hot outside. Drinks selection is great as is the food. 100% recommend this pub

Great for kids to go run around and have fun in the play areas but the food is terrible. They definitely put quantity over quality making many dishes as quickly as they can. Normally you know what to expect from a hungry horse establishment but the quality of food and preparation is incredibly poor compared to other establishments in this chain.

We have always attend here no problems in the past was always a nice atmosphere and staff was always lovely. However on the 2nd August we attend for my brother in law birthday meal. We all had different meal but 7 out of 15 of the party adults and children. Have came down with food poisoning symptoms. Which ended up sending one of the children to A&E I dunno if it's the food issue or hygiene issues but we will won't be attend again due to this.

Nathan, is unbelievably rude. Retail is stressful, but you took the job, and you shouldn't take it out on innocent customers who just arrived. Rude about us ordering, telling others not to ask if any of us need service, because we hadnt decided- in the rudest tone, while still pouring our previous drinks anyway so we had time. Huffing and puffing, rude about the payment, no please or thanks. We kept our manners up, but I'm not impressed. Do better

Standard food & fayre. Seating a bit tired in places.

Food was the worst I have ever had. Was just like they had brought it straight out of microwave. When complaining about the food ask staff if the meal they had brought out was ment to be the same one as the picture on the menu. The waiter tried to dob me off saying the pic was of the super size one when I asked him to point this out on menu for me turns out he had just made it up. The staff never came once to the table to see if meal was ok. We will never be returning here again which is disappointing because until this occasion we have never had a bad meal

Hi today I visited plank and legit Tamworth road sawley, my daughter 10 and two friends and there daughter 5.we sat down for food and all was well bar staff helpful and polite . Until we took the kids through to the play area at around 10 to six its open till 7pm but my daughter was refused entry by a very rude member of staff that insisted she was to tall to enter the play area. I personally stood my daughter next to the height restriction board and yes she was in line with it not over it. The girl insisted she could not enter .I said to the member of staff she is in line with the measuring bored she insisted she needed to be below it .I dont see the point in having a height restrictions bored if your not goin to follow it . She then used the excuse she needed socks we had socks with us but the girl insisted my daughter could not go in .so I had a upset ten year old very disappointed as we had traveled here so she could play with her friend witch resulted in having to play on her own .the member of staff that served us to add insult then sat down with her boyfriend and kids and had a little girl playing in the under 5s who was over 5. And turned to her boyfriend and said I was hoping I was goin to be out of here for six .so that tells me that she only didn't let my ten year old in hoping that if she turned us down we would all turn around and she could knock off earlier. We had two disappointed kids because one had to play by her self and the other had to sit and watch .I belive it's very disrespectful and spiteful of the staff member to do that to a child just because she hoped to knock of earlier .the place was empty no other customers in there apart from the staff members children so no harm would of bin caused she used all the excuses she could she was hoping to get off earlier . My daughter was only here 2 weeks ago with her friends mum and had no issues entering so maybe the staff member needs to be taught some customer service skills .will not be returning because as a its supposed to be a children friendly pub we came away with a upset disappointed child 😔

I was at the wacky warehouse this evening and we had a lovely lady named Kathleen who was bright funny and welcoming with us and the children. Kathleen deserves a medal as she is left alone to cope with all of the stress and does it all with a smile 😁

Usually a good pub but my most recent experience has really changed my opinion. The one time we had issues with the mains and desserts is the one time no one came to ask if the meal is okay. No one was interested in helping when I went to the bar to complain. Absolute let down from a pub I used frequently.

We came here as a party of 10. the food was awful, the staff were rude and miserable and for a sunday the place was very quiet. Alot of the furniture had tape over holes and the outside patio was either taped off or had dangerous lifted slabs. I sadly wouldn't recommend nor would I go again.
