Food was amazing as always, we go most Sundays and think it's the best carvery in the Midlands, even further than that. Kitchen staff (james especially) are amazing and are always helpful and are always saving pork crackling for me and the missus (Which is absolutely amazing), also Faye and Milly are always on hand to help when clearing away and setting up, and Nico on reception is always letting us eat early even tho we book. He always tries to get us a table. Bartlewood lodge is amazing, hence why we keep going back every weekend. All bar staff are also helpful. Thank you Bartlewood for making us feel welcome. Best by far.

Great atmosphere, great food, happy team. Love going here for a carvery. And kids area outside so the little ones can let off some steam.

Today we have a delicious carvery. The Turkey was lovely and all the veg tasty and hot.Really enjoyed our meal here as we always do.

Been for Sunday lunch today with family food absolutely lovely and top service from Debbie a member of staff such a lovely kind lady nothing was to much trouble , we shall definitely return ☺️

Booked for a family birthday celebration. Food good and Lucy S looked after us and put cling film over the cake etc. some had carvery some had ordered food off menu.

Refurb nice. Place definitely cleaner and seemed more organised. Service however as slow as ever. I feel sorry for the staff they are under staffed and were super busy the whole time. Always pleasant, always helpful but not enough staff to service the level of customers adequately.

First time I’ve been since the refurb. Looks so much better. Unfortunately I was left disappointed and unlikely to bother going again. Was taken to our table promptly and ordered our food and drinks via the app. We got our drinks within about 15 mins which was ok but not great. We then waited an hour for our food. Was on the verge of cancelling our order and walking. I had the pizza pin wheels which were actually pretty good and the BBQ chicken burger and skin on fries. The fries were ok but the burger looked like it was dying a sorry death. It was over cooked and dry as a dessert. We had no staff double check our food was ok and didn’t really see any staff much at all. Didn’t bother with dessert as we didn’t fancy waiting another hour.

Wouldn’t know about the food or service or atmosphere due to my 16 year old being rudely refused a table along with 5 pals after being dropped off to celebrate passing exams last Thurs , disgusting of the staff to assume they wanted to cause a problem when they r the best group of lads never caused a problem anywhere they have ever been firstly told no tables yet people were leaving and even offered their table to them then to be told was no cutlery yet was loads was a complete joke to which they then got collected to go to toby carvery and ended up having a brilliant 2 hours celebrating quietly amongst themselves without causing any problems suprise suprise they have had many trips to Nando’s , pizza express , waga mama and always been accepted , what rude service to be greated with and assumed would cause a problem. They won’t be returning nor shall we quite appalled at how they were perceived 😡

I recently dined here at Bartlewood Lodge Stonehouse and was absolutely thrilled by the exceptional service provided by waitresses Grace and Courtney. Their willingness to go above and beyond made our dining experience truly memorable. Both ladies exuded charm and professionalism, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhanced our time there. I can’t recommend Grace and Courtney highly enough—they are true gems who elevate the dining experience and true assets who role model the true desires of any service industry business. Well done to you both, and thank you.

Shown immediately to our preferred table despite being 25mins early. Food was amazing as always, staff polite and helpful. Decor is a little tired but I understand it is being revamped next month, can't wait!!

Visited Bartlewood Lodge 25/08/24 had the traditional Carvery the food was lovely better now after opening back up from the refurb nice ample atmosphere pleasant staff especially Amy who was very polite asking how our food was which we replied very nice very clean and welcoming advise to book a table online as it does get quite busy Highly recommended to all would visit again 👍

Food was lovely, one of the wait staff even noticed we kept our jackets on as we were right under the air con and it was freezing cold and she asked if we’d like it turned down. Attention to detail always gets my vote!

First visit since refurb. Huge improvement. Our server tonight, Hayley, was polite, very welcoming and tended to our requests quickly. Would recommend.

Unfortunately the chicken burger I had was "rubbery".We were a party of 4. 2 desserts were forgotten.The service was not as good as it used to be since the new owners have taken over.We haven't been back since.I don't know as I want to return soon.

Went for a carvery on 18 August 2024 ok food! Unfortunately, a female staff member came up to my table and said my daughter who is two years old and barely eats anything, cannot eat on my plate!! I think she was the manager! She would need to have her own meal paid for. This is extremely shocking behaviour from the staff, very bad experience! We will never go again! Absolutely appauling

Great carvery at a reasonable price.

The carvery was really fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly and very attentive. They were knowledgeable about dietary requirements and were kind and considerate about the best places for people to sit according to their needs. Amy, our waitress, was really helpful and friendly. This is the first time I have visited since it was refurbished and it’s a lovely environment.

Recommend you book for the carvery on a Sunday but always lovely. Staff are always amazing especially the guy who is on the front desk

Great food, value for money and fab service from all of the staff. Only thing let down was over cooked fries and no vanilla ice cream.

Emma and Fay was really pleasant and helpful and friendly on the table service, great customer service skills. The only little negative I have was the lady behind the carvery who was doing the takeaway food was carrying the pots with food in with her thumbs in the pot which is not very good from a hygiene prospective.

Went for a meal today and the food was lovely, so was the service we got from Phoebe. Nothing was too much hassle.

This is the first time I've been to Bartlewood since the refurbishment. Before that I've been a regular patron, however, the biggest drawback to me is the male toilets. Prior to the refurbishment on more than one occasion I've requested that a bin be put in the male toilets. Many of your customers are retired and the older some of us get the less efficiently our bladders and bowels work. I've had prostate RT and this means that sometimes, particularly after eating, there can be an absolute urgent necessity to use the rest room. People like me carry special hygienic bags to put tissues and wet wipes in but at Bartlewood, despite the refurbishment, no bins for the men! Also the sit down toilet is in a tiny space, a disabled person in a wheelchair wouldn't be able to use it. Also Bartlewood has now opened the toilets next to the entrance but closed the gents at the back, which for a long time was the only gents in use. Tiny space and no bin there either. I asked the young lady who said she was acting manager about a bin however she made it quite clear that she was too busy to do anything about this and later when she wasn't too busy she never came over to reassure me that she would pass my observations up the chain of command. I find extraordinary that in your refurbishment no-one suggested at least one disabled toilet. However, we very much enjoyed the carvery and the waiting staff were pleasant and efficient. Unless something changes on the toilet front however we will find somewhere closer to home.

We hadn’t visited Bartlewood Lodge for some years and thought we would take a visit to reminisce. All of us can honestly say it was a lovely experience and Fay Langley made us feel very welcome. Nothing was to much trouble. The plates were hot and the food was thoroughly cooked. Recommend everyone to take a visit.

Deputy manager Nico take pride in thier job and how they run the lodge nothing is never to much trouble and should be proud of thier staff especially staff member Lucy m she is excellent and nothing it to much trouble you should have more staff like her and she should be given a higher position they work really hard like the management and should be awarded for this as they never are it’s a pleasure to visit and we alway recommend to others my family and friends have been coming there for many years

Great value breakfast! Always busy (which is a good indication) the staff are always friendly, the breakfast is fresh and always topped up, the pizzas are great and the recent refurbishment looks very nice. Lauren was very friendly and fast when we went for breakfast this morning, a definite positive when you've got two hungry kids.

Cant go wrong with a Bartlewood breakfast or carvery. Thanks to Lauren and Tom from my last visit.

Staff great, quality of food could be improved. We had carvery, but didn't get roast potatoes as not ready, no horseradish for beef. Yorkshire puddings seemed like frozen economy ones. For 12.99, expected better.

Terrible service if you order anything thats not the carvery. We waited over half an hour and reminded the staff about our food, only to watch the chef shrug 'I dunno' when asked about orders. And don't get me started on the piece of cardboard that came for the vegan chicken. Very dossapointing when you watch your friends tuck into a carvery and wait an age for something awful.

Stuffing tasted like plastic Small Yorkshire puddings, might as well get aunt Bessie's frozen ones. Not much veg to choose from. Had to wait 30mins for roast potatoes. Crap. £43 for 2 adults and a child.

Used to be our goto place.. but no more. First visit since the "refurb" (?) hard to see where ! Carvery was the usual mess - food scattered like a toddlers party. Table was sticky, the drinks glasses were as dirty as the cutlery... And for these treats the price of the carvery has been hiked another quid - to TEN pounds a go. That's 10% more than the other Stonehouse locals. Byebye Bartlewood 😔

Food was amazing as always. 14 of us including 5 children and no complaints.

Only had a beer here - on a sunny Sunday day, with a hot chick, sco could be a biased review - nice garden, good range of beers, carvery looked great, food I saw around looked nice. Dog friendly in one garden, kids and play area in the other.

Arrived and got shown our table for 6 but wasn't advised there was a 30 min wait for food, we only found this out after asking one of the staff after 35 mins, she went to the kitchen and came back to say the chef hadn't started it but was going to do.it straight away. Now thay says to me that they had forgotten or missed the order. Finally after 45 mins the food arrived. Very poor service and will go to the Blue Jay from now on.
