Broke down in my car and spent much of the evening here. Unto this day have management and security helped me source recovery for my broken car. Top notch for housing the refugees also. God blessed hotel perfect for motorway rest plus cans of pop. Breakfast also - I wouldn't say no.

We had a booking for 24th25th sep and they rang and cancelled it three days before saying they wanted the hotel exclusivly to them selves, we had booked specially for my daughters birthday, and had the ballet booked as a special treat, we were left with three days in which to find a place to stay and cost us twice the price at short notice, absolutly disgusted!!! Never book with them again thats for sure

Lovely hotel very clean, staff very friendly. Beds are comfortable ( I don't normally sleep well due to pain, but I had a 3 great night's sleep). My only grip was that we had a disabled access room which was lovely and big but the toilet was very low (not a disabled raised toilet) and the shower was in a bath so was no good if you can't get in the bath. The rooms are warm but we left the bathroom window open to let a breeze in and the road noise was not too bad. I would stay here again and would recommend it.

Not greatly impressed. Lots(I mean lots) of dog owners stayed here over the weekend with their pets. The problem is the barking at 4am. Speak to reception- " all I can do is apologise" she says. 1/2 bottle of shower gel in bathroom... very disappointed

Amazing, friendly, helpful staff who are happy to oblige when required to do so. This is shown by everyone from the waitresses all the way through to the wonderful restaurant manageress. It was a pleasure to have met them all. In regards to the food and drinks we found the prices a bit too high for the type of food that was served. The drinks that we had were rather expensive for what we got.

Very disappointing. Disabled access was terrible - the only two disabled parking spaces were occupied by a van or minibus, there was a significant ridge into the main door which needed two of us to get my father's wheelchair in and the closer on the (accessible) bedroom door was so heavy dad couldn't hold the door causing more wheelchair problems. My room hadn't been properly cleaned - black hairs in the handbasin as well as a rim of scum round it. We commented to the duty receptionist, who did apologise and suggested we talk to the duty manager in the morning - as it turned out, we really didn't have time since I had a train to catch. My sister, who made the booking, is a fairly regular user of Best Western, but I don't believe either she or I will stay at this one again!

Second time Weve stayed here, alway friendly had Nice family room everything Needed for a 1 night stay, nice touch enough cups for everyone, we will be back thank you

Fantastic stay... Dietary requirements were catered for at breakfast and dinner. Great quality food too. Friendly and welcoming staff were very accommodating of any specific requirements. There was no air conditioning in our room but there were fans in the room to help. Still a very warm room. Towels supplied were too small to use after showering. Very easy access to Alton Towers resort

Well what can i say it was a very relaxing time away. The hotel was very nice and very friendly cant find anything wrong with it. Its a little out of the way but managed to get round alright

Always a good stay, come for the super/ british bike racing at Donnington. Rooms always clean and have everything you need for a short stay. Receptionist very polite restaurant and breakfast staff very friendly and helpful, very good fresh cooked breakfast too, dealt with a really nice lady called Lorraine 😀

Stayed for two nights. The location of the hotel was perfect for where we were visiting. We had a family which was of a decent size but poorly laid out and dated. Room temperature was outrageously hot which made for really uncomfortable sleeping conditions and even sitting in the room in the evening was difficult. The sink being in the sleeping area wasn't particularly good for privacy. The shower could have been cleaned better. Breakfast was good, the server was very pleasant, eggs were cooked fresh and the food was piping hot. The selection on offer was also very good.

Had to change rooms 4 times. Bed linen ok but the mattress and mattress cover were disgusting except for fourth room I would suggest anyone staying should check. Staff great and apologetic Will think twice before using them again

I have been using this hotel quite frequently during the past 2/3cmonths. I am from this area but lived on Surrey for the past 25 years and I come to visit my Mum who has advanced dementia. Always liked this hotel. Its clean. The beds are mega comfortable. The receptionist who was on duty when I arrived on the 2nd of June is absolutely lovely as is the young lady who sorts the breakfasts out in the morning. I will be using this nice hotel again.

Friendly helpful staff. Food, freshly cooked. Amazing quality, and the portion sizes more than ample. Our room was clean, fresh and spacious. Would recommend a stay there.

Great value. They do need to change the narrative on the booking website about the breakfast. You get a sausage or bacon roll with a pastry, juice, yogurt and fruit. No hot drink. Lady at the reception very polite.

friendly and welcoming staff at reception, rooms are large however the rooms are dated and some lightbulbs needed replacing. There is not much noise from the motorway but that is only if you keep the triple glazed shut. The TV would only give selected channels with ITV C4 and C5 not on the selection. Food was OK with quite a selection.

I stay at this hotel alot due to work the staff are all fantastic, I recently got diagnosed with diabetes and the staff have been very accommodating with my dietary needs even in these trying times due to Covid, they make it feel like a home from home.

Pros - very good value for money. Comfy beds and spotlessly clean Cons - couldn't sleep due to the noise from the motorway. No tea or coffee provided

Bad experience. We stayed in room 321. Our room was adjacent to the M1 motorway and the secondary glazing to cancel out noise was installed by a 5 year old by the looks, it was so noisy and drafty, I got a severe stiff neck as the bed was directly beneath the draft. The shower had no hot water coming from it, just good old freezing cold water. When showing my displeasure to reception, they simply said " we will get maintenance to look at it and giggled in a nervous and embarrassment way" Unbelievable, and an utter disgrace best western.

Although there were 2 of us, there was only one towel in room. No coffee/tea in room - we have to return to reception where we were given some. We were not advised we had to prebook for breakfast (because of COVID); so we could not have breakfast.

Nice hotel probably more suited to business than leisure travel although the prices make it accessible to all. Rooms are a little tired looking and the layout could be awkward if you were sharing - mine had the sink basin and mirror in the main room with only the toilet and shower behind a door. Windows were older style glazing but when closed seemed to keep out the noise ok, despite the closeness to the motorway. A good range of freeview channels on the TV, a kettle, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer are present in the rooms. Shower was powerful and hot and most importantly I slept well and the bed was comfortable. All the staff are amazing and friendly as well as really helpful. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in and it makes all the difference.

Lovely friendly place, situated conveniently close to M1 and short distance to both Derby and Nottingham. Staff always happy to help. Great pet friendly hotel (bonus... No charge for dogs) Lots of free parking. Definitely recommend

Excellent. Clean, friendly, helpful. Only slight thing was the overstuffed pillows.

Rooms were well cleaned, not spotless but clean. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet so no interruptions when sleeping. There were even firmer pillows in the room already without having to ask anyone! Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here on other occasions, having another stay tomorrow the hotel is both clean and easy on the pocket. We just wanted to highlight exceptional customer services by lorna - people in industry should take note

First stay in this particular hotel, and first stay anywhere since the Covid restrictions were put in place. The check in process was simple and all done online the day before arrival. The guidelines for stays were clear and simple. The hotel had all necessary social distancing measures in place and hand gel was provided as were disposable cups for tea and coffee. Room service was available but food deliveries were also welcome as the restaurant is closed. Room was clean and spacious and the parking was free. Most importantly fory stay dogs are very welcome and there is no pet charge added on like some hotels. I enjoyed my stay so much I have booked again.

Stayed numerous times cant fault the place.. Big shout out to the staff this week though ( especially kloe, she made my day 😊) also jimmy and the others, all made this week as good as it can be, meals was all spot onHopefully will be back once this all calms down. Thanks again 😉

Staff are great here. Rooms are great, so clean and with thermostats. I went to the restaurant on their facility and was allowed to take food to my room on a tray. They are so nice, been here many times and will be going many more times.

No complaints. Excellent helpful staff, ample breakfast, comfortable quiet room. Was here on business so was able to do everything i needed

Set near the M1, midway between Nottingham and Derby, Best Western offers a practical base from which to explore the area. Great service and online discounts available if you look for them.

Very comfortable bed, clean room on first appearance but I think a bit more attention to detail by the cleaners wouldn't go a miss. I had a room that had a window in the corner that was double double glazed and that was great didn't let in any noice, but the roof window was very very noisy with traffic and also let in quite a draft as well and being over the bed not great. Very helpful receptionist who came and helped sort the TV out didn't take her name but her customer service was great.

Lovely room, very comfortable bed,well set out.Separate bar/restaurant and right next to the motorway. Downside being the traffic noise depending on where in the hotel you are,but they provide you with earplugs should you want them.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good value if purchased through the hotel. The grill was very good value and again the staff were very friendly, the food was very tasty

Nice stay overnight at the Best Western. Breakfast at the grill outside the hotel was great with plenty of choice. Beds were comfy and the rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were lovely and very helpful when I requested some extra amenities. Only downside is no plug next to the beds only on the desk which isn't convenient in this day and age with phones and tablets that are needed for alarm clocks that need charging. However i pulled one of the beds out in the twin single room I was in and found two wall plugs, crisis averted.

I'd like to say your cleaning service is splendid, especially when cleaning down below xxxx

As we arrived inside for our breakfast a lovely lady called Leanne immediately came over to us . She explained clearly what we had available to eat and how the food was laid out to enable us to "navigate" our way to get our toast on the go whilst we filled our plate of the full English . Leanne is clearly very enthusiastic and a great host - well done to her . She wasn't over attentive which can be a pain but came over to talk to us about our stay and how much she enjoyed meeting the guests as we all had different stories with regards our stay at the hotel - ours for a leaving party for a customer of my business in Nottingham whilst we live in Barnsley.

Hotel has good size rooms, great staff and is in a good location. Even facing the motorway I had a great nights sleep. However it does look a little tired and has a general odd feeling about it.

Hotel is decent could do with rooms being modernised as abit outdated.

Large room which easily accommodated a family of four for a night. Nice and clean room with tea making facilities. Good breakfast but this isn't in the same building. Just a walk across the car park access road is all it is. Stayed here as part of a two day deal for alton towers.

It is & does what it says on the tin. Excellent location, just off the M1 & on the outskirts of Nottingham & within easy reach of Derby. It's a basic hotel with few pretensions, but it appears very clean & has adequate facilities.

Builders working in rooms at 8am with powertools. Not good enough, especially if you've checked in late after work the night before.

Receptionist was lovely, however sadly they had booked building works in the room next to me so despite arriving late in the night after working and paying extra for a late checkout I was disturbed by constant noise from 7. 30am until 1pm when I left. I was not given a refund.

Popped in here one evening for drinks while staying at Best Western, we found it to be very reasonably priced for drinks. 2 G&T's 2 pints for £12, not bad at all. Had breakfast here as well. So much choice, cereal, toast, cakes, croissants and plenty of hot food to choose from. Buffet style, so pick what you want. Everything was well cooked and great value for money. Staff were lovely as well. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Ate here twice this week. On both occasions the quality of both food and service exceeded my expectations by a considerable margin. Well done all the waitresses and the excellent chef. All in a nice comfortable well appointed space too.

Good value for money. Close to M1. A few key issues...heat of the rooms in summer was unbearable,pillows are huge and no thinner options availible and parking is an issue. Half the car park was closed and spaces are so narrow!! Had to squeeze in the passenger side one morning to get in my car. Separate area for vans/ contractors would help them and the car drivers. ( the vans here were actually very well parked so no complaints there)

Lovely rooms very comfortable and great staff

As we hadn’t been to The Grill At 25 for some time, we decided to go for a birthday meal. I called first to check we were ok to come in for 6pm and the lady i spoke to sounded very cheerful. We got there and was shown to our table, given the menu and left for a few minutes before she came back and asked what drinks we would like. Now i liked that she gave us the perfect amount of time to take off our jackets, settle down and look at the drinks menu. The drinks were also perfect my children had soft drinks but my wife had a lager and black and i had a bitter shandy. These are two very simple drinks to get wrong but we both had a sip of our drinks and said at the same time “oh, thats nice. Once we had chosen out meals (we all started with a main) it arrived promptly and hot. My son and wife both had gammon, which they both loved. My daughter had a burger which looked very nice. I’m a veggie, so had a margherita pizza with added pineapple. I ate half of it and got very full, so the waiting lady boxed up the rest for me to take home (i’m eating this now cold and it’s just as nice). My wife and i shared a desert of chocolate fudge cake with ice cream which was beautiful. My son had syrup sponge and custard, which he said “tasted better than the school version”. Which apparently is top compliment because its always been his favourite (he’s 17). My daughter had the chocolate brownie. Which was actually two large brownies with her opted custard. She managed one before having to undo the top button of her trousers. We did pay more than we would have if we had been to Eaton Farm or The Plank, but it was worth it. Those two places didn’t come anywhere near the service, drink or food we got at The Grill At 25. We did tip at the end and i sit here now thinking “i wish we had left more”. Thank you for a fantastic evening and we hope to be back very soon.

My family and I had a lovely meal here! Lots of choice and the staff were very kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommended!

Very big room well appointed and a fair sized desk so if you need to do some work or prepare. For what I paid and getting no cause for complaint. Did good on this one. Big TV and carry with me my own AV equipment to plug in and watch what I want or use as a PC screen.

Good beds strong shower lovely venue, great food

This hotel is a great place to relax, having stayed for 3 nights the rooms are clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable as well as the pillows, don’t think I could have wished for better, the staff here are friendly and helpful and a special Thankyou to Elaine who served us with lovely food as i would expect from a great western hotel. Location is ideal for access to Derbyshire and Nottingham and the M1 motorway runs alongside it definitely worth another visit here xx

Was very pleasantly surprised how spacious the room was and how comfy the beds were. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and a huge shout out to all the restaurant staff. We had dinner both nights and breakfast once. The food was super and all the staff so polite, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you. Would definately stay again.

Decent enough for a stop before the airport, if anything, a little dated but fine and a lovely breakfast even if a little pricey :)
