Fantastic food and service, friendly people. I've been twice now and will continue to visit, always loved a chippy and can honestly say this is as good as anywhere I've been.

People running it were lovely, food was bad though, undercooked chips, fish fell apart, it was like eating a plate of mush. Really disappointing.

We were in the area visiting family and we decided on having a chippy tea as it was quick and easy for us. I’m soo glad they suggested tennants fish and chips. It was one of the best fish and chips we had tasted in a long time. Great quality fish and the chips. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Wish we lived closer! We can’t wait to return. 5*plus

1st time here. Had Gluten Free Food. I WAS WELL AND TRULY GLUTENED. NO WAY ON THIS PLANET WAS IT GLUTEN FREE 🤔 😕 😳!!!! WILL NOT RETURN, END OF DISCUSSION. I could say SO MUCH MORE......🤑. I visited Tennants this week whilst working in the area, I can safely say that they are the best fish and chips that I have eaten for years, excellent shop and high quality food, wish I lived closer!

Being in the same family since 1943 so they know there cooking .friday lunch was roe chips and curry sauce.very tasty chips..roe good not dried up and curry very tasty. Served by Joe I think very pleasant to chat with ..all in all nice chippy

First time visit yesterday - proper traditional chippie. Really clean interior, friendly staff, competitive prices and most importantly, quality food for the dosh spent! Hot chips, crispy batter, tasty fish and meaty sausage... Much better than queuing for tiny portions at rip-off Georges. Will definitely be returning. Thanks to the staff :)

Tried Tennants for the first time on a Friday night - absolutely can't fault them. Fish was fresh and cooked to order, staff were lovely, prices are really competitive, and the portions were substantial. We'll definitely be back!

I used to visit regularly as a youngster when there was a tennants chippy at the top of my street. That one closed years ago but in the last few years since I've been driving and it's a little easier to get to I regularly use there station street shop. Still the best chippy in long eaton by a country mile and great customer service. Always smiley and chatty 👍

In my opinion, the best chips in Long Eaton. They're never soggy or reheated from hours ago, they're just really tasty and the portions are more than big enough. We always go for a large portion between two of us, as one each would be too big. All fish is freshly cooked to order and although I don't eat fish, it always looks really nice - the batter always looks crispy and golden. I'm more of a giant Battered Sausage or a Pineapple Fritter kind of girl and I can tell you now, that both of these items are really nice. Tennants do a lunchtime special, so for just a couple of quid, you can fill yourself right up and see yourself through to tea time. The staff are really friendly, happy and chatty... So what are you waiting for? Pop on down to Tennants for the best chips in town.
