Amazing food! Husband had beef stifado and I had Slovaki, both were fantastic and tasty. Staff were really friendly. Would definitely make this place a regular haunt if lived in Worcester.

Having read some previous reviews we stopped for lunch. After a friendly welcome we chose the cheese scone with butter, Black Bomber cheese & pickle. The scone was delicious, warm from a fresh baking and complimented by the strong cheese & pickle. A super lunch!

I found the green cow kitchen @ Crumplebury very underwhelming and the experience is highly missold. Firstly, the concept of calling it a chefs table when in reality you’re being sat in a large room on a long table with about 20 other guests was a big shock. There was no personal experience nor were the dishes introduced over the sound of other guests on the table. I’d like to bring you attention to the definition of a chefs table: A table located in the kitchen of a restaurant, reserved for special guests and allowing them to see the chef at work and sometimes to be served a tasting menu. I’ve experienced some great restaurants and when you read what you may experience from a particular restaurant you do normally experience exactly that. In this case I feel like it is very much over compensated with the wording online. The food was genuinely sub standard. The courses didn’t seem anything special, the flavour selections were interesting. Nothing wowed me about the food, drinks or service. I had some conversations with the guests that were also awfully disappointed, however, they did say they have had better experiences there at Crumplebury in the past. One positive about the experience is that the grounds of Crumplebury are nice, on a farm and very nicely lit at night.

Wok chi is a regular personal favourite with some of best food in Birmingham and our favourite place to go with friends. Almost a hidden gem on Harborne’s bustling high street it stands out with its bustling atmosphere and its popularity with queues for takeaway orders or full tables. Best to book as it’s so popular you always get the warmest of welcome from Alfie, Linda and team. The food is the freshest and mouth watering you can imagine and the flavours incredible. Generous portions leave you well satisfied and happy. Some favourites have now become compulsory when visiting and salt and chilli squid will rival best of UK and even Barcelona on my travels. Firecracker Wings, fruity ribs and wok chi special amongst the many favourites.

If you’re after a good burger, this is the place to drop in to. The burgers are simply great, with generous portions of chips and accompaniments and lovely sesame burger baps. Service was very good. We ordered a couple of glasses of their merlot wine which was ostensibly not available. So we opted for the rosé. A few minutes later, the server apologised and offered to change our drinks to some from the new bottle of merlot he had found. We appreciated the gesture and the honesty when we need not have been told. This is not fine dining. It is simply good quality burgers, in a simple, unassuming and welcoming venue, with well cooked chips and an imaginative menu. Situated near to the shops on Fishergate and the train station, it is a convenient dropping in spot for a drink and quick meal. We really enjoyed our experience.
