We love this little independent patisserie, it's tucked away down The Colonnade (opposite the theatre) and has the most scrumptious sausage rolls and fresh cakes- new selection every day. We brought mum today and indulged in Asparagus & Cheese Quiche, Apple & Sage sausage rolls and a gorgeous Raspberry Cheesecake. All with coffees. There's a room with tables/chairs, purchasable artwork and paperback novels - book swap or donations. Called in after a dog walk along the beach this morning. Friendly and welcoming, including the dog! Coffee exceptionally good, would definitely recommend and will certainly go again next time we are in Southend. Thank you 😀

We arrived at this bar expecting nothing and we discovered everything, the hosts were the best thing since sliced bread, a real family atmosphere that can never be replicated. The joy that this bar brings to your heart will never be repeated. Please Music, you want it you got it, nothing is too much trouble, extremely well stocked bar, real ales etc and plenty of top shelf action and fun and laughter. Will definitely be visiting on a weekly basis.

Ok let's get right into the good part. THE FOOD. It is amazing, while i've only tried the pizza and the burgers, ive heard that the other food is good too! The prices are a tiny bit expensive, but it's worth it, getting you full after just the burger or the pizza. The burgers are messy, but delicious. The pizzas are big yet full of flavour. They're so good. The bad part is the dining area. It's alright, but some flaws. The kids area is meh. Needs to be improved a bit. The actual dining area is a bit weird with the floor. In the middle of the dining area, the floor is lowered by a step. And one table and chairs are close to it, so someone could move the chair a bit back and they'll fall. But in general, I recommend this place for couples, families and friends. And if you want to just get a pizza and go, you can. If you have to go but you haven't finished your food, you can ask for a box to take it home. Hell, if you don't want to go to the place but want your food, you can order online! This is an absolute gem of a restaurant that simply has the best food in Shrewsbury, the outstanding 6 course tasting menu was a foodies delight we added the wine flight and everything was superb. The personal service is second to none with the owners explaining all the courses and how best to eat them. The whole team are a credit to the restaurant and the atmosphere was fantastic, warm and welcoming. We wish you all the very best on your retirement, after 26 years serving Shrewsbury you deserve it. A very nice place, the puccia caprese is delicious and the cappuccino was very good. I recommend this place to anyone looking for ambiance and comfort food.

Went for the first time last night and we both agreed that we will be making it a monthly experience. Food was amazing, staff were amazing and the atmosphere was amazing.

We visited Tropea, having been gifted a voucher for Christmas, having been meaning to visit for a while it was the perfect opportunity. From stepping into the restaurant the service was faultless, greeted by friendly staff who were knowledgeable guiding my husband and I through the menu with recommendations and advice including the key advice of leave space for the tiramisu!! Staff were attentive throughout the evening offering a perfect level of service. The food was incredible we started with the beef fillet carpaccio, which was melt in the mouth, alongside Giardiniera (house made seasonal pickles). For pasta we shared the Tagliatelle, venison shoulder ragu and the Sardinian fregola, portions were perfect to share. We then shared the braised pork cheek and BBQ tender stem broccoli and winter salad, once again it made for perfect sharing. My husband had the tiramisu for dessert, and he was glad he left space, as it was the best Tiramisu he had ever eaten. I would highly recommend visiting Tropea, certainly one of the best restaurants in Birmingham that I’ve visited.

Beautiful pub with friendly staff and a nice selection of drinks. The food was exceptional. Fabulously light and flavoursome pizza made from the best ingredients. Followed up with stunning Cannoli to finish too. All for really reasonable prices An absolute treat of a dinner.
