Found this lovely cafe today and we were made very welcome nothing was to much trouble. Sarah was well clued on allergies and my gluten free meal was lovely as the other 3 meals that family had. Talk about going the extra mile Sarah and Scarlet went the extra five miles. What a brilliant team we will visit again 20/10 Phil Val John Wendy

I’ve had a few afternoon teas in my time, but this was actually the best I’ve ever had. We had high tea with Assam tea, which was a delicious proper loose leaf tea. You can taste the difference compared with everyday teas. All the elements of the high tea used excellent quality ingredients and there was a great variety of sandwiches and cakes. Delicious. Also, the owner and the waitress were both lovely. I wish you and your business well.

What a thoroughly decadent experience. Absolutely GORGEOUS! The decor was great, with quirky antiques available to buy if desired. There was French soft jazz playing in the background. I had a coffee and a cheese scone, which was presented beautifully, with a slice of wonderful cheese and relish on the side and the coffee was phenomenal. My husband had an espresso and chocolate cake, also fabulous! The service was lovely, and we are definitely coming back, next time with guests! Thank you for a lovely experience!

Best coffee in Ironbridge!!! I have recently been avoiding Ironbridge due to a bad experience at another cafe in the area. I got recommended Grays by a friend and I am blown away by the standards of homemade cake and have to recommend the ironbridge pudding which was out of this world. The coffee was high quality unlike other cafes like your costa's and starbucks's. The prices for the service they offer are absolutely amazing so for anyone visiting ironbridge I couldn’t recommend this gorgeous cafe anymore.

Staff go above and beyond, service with a smile and the extra mile. They are fabulous. Excellent breakfast, absolutely delicious . Attention to detail, everything was spot on( even the plates had been warmed.) We even came away with jam/cream scones for two (and a couple of huge succulent strawberries) which were really scrummy. The only difficulty are the stairs, it's devastating they are not on the ground floor as we would be there every week.

What an absolutely fantastic place. We had afternoon tea with bubbles and it was delicious. The owner was super friendly and accommodating as we had special requests due to one of our party being pregnant. The food was delicious, there was a homemade salmon quiche served warm, a beautiful selection of freshly cut sandwiches, fresh cream scones, delicious cakes and a salted carmel cheesecake that was so good it should be illegal. The service was excellent, the surroundings were lovely and the beautiful fine China crockery was lovely. It was a real treat and I will definitely recommend and return. Grays of Shropshire is a hidden gem nestled on the High Street in Ironbridge in a two-storey Grade II listed townhouse. There are many cafes and tea rooms in Ironbridge but none of them have the high standards and quality this patisserie offers. Warm welcome from the owner as soon as you enter, beautifully decorated downstairs with quality products (teas, jams) and delicious cakes on display. Head upstairs and you will find the stylish tea rooms with atmospheric music playing in the background. We have been returning customers every time we are in the area, and we have never been disappointed. Great breakfast menu whether you want traditional high quality locally sourced cooked breakfast or continental with amazing fresh pastries. The afternoon tea is divine with the best homemade scones we have ever had. Wide selection of fabulous cakes which are all made fresh on the premises every day. If you are looking for a patisserie that is traditional, high quality with high standards that is also very clean and friendly then Grays of Shropshire is for you! We will certainly be back…. I just wished it was closer to where we live!

Whilst exploring Ironbridge with friends and trying to locate some Lardy cake, we discovered this little tea shop, at the top end of the high street. I say little, because i think it only seats 10 people (upstairs). However, what a great little find. We soon got seated and ordered cream tea, coffees and more cake (sadly, no lardy cake on that day). Fine bone china tea cups and teapot were of the order. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cakes and drinks. Although, I have to say that the scones weren't very big, but they were delicious. My husband and I called in to buy cheese and ended up buying homemade cake and a cookery book as well. We also headed back two days on the run for breakfast. The Eggs Benedict are fabulous as are the sausage sandwiches, spoilt for choice. Food on the menu is made using local produce and Sarah's heavenly homemade cakes are made using eggs laid by her own hens and geese. When my Mum booked, she told Sarah the owner, and when we arrived, a place had been set for my sister too, with a place card! What a beautiful touch that meant the world to us. We had a private room which was lovely as we could chat to our hearts content without fear of disturbing other customers. The sandwiches were a delight, the cakes a cornucopia of delectations, and we all agreed the scones were the lightest we had ever tasted! It’s great that Ironbridge has a tearoom with a touch of class. There is a limited but good menu. It would be even better with some more adventurous homemade dishes on offer. (Please also use clotted cream as advertised in the menu.) However this is a friendly place and there are numerous delicatessen items for sale. Great cheeses! It’s a fairly new business so I’m sure it will continue to grow. The window displays are really very good. We love this place.

Absolutely love going to Grays for breakfast. The best homemade hollandaise I have ever tasted. High quality smoked salmon. The earl grey is a delight (so much so I had to buy some to take home). Always made to feel extremely welcome in such decadent. surroundings. A must if visiting Ironbridge.

This little tearoom is amazing. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food is real and not out of a packet or false in any way. The taste of real food in a relaxing place is what a tea room should be. You have the chance to purchase local perseveres which I can say from purchasing one of the sauces on offer, are amazing. This was my first visit Ironbridge and I would travel there again if only to visit the adorable tearoom. Happy first birthday and here's to many more xx

Our first visit to Grays coincided with their first birthday celebrations - and if the service and quality remain at the standard we experienced today, they'll be around for many more years to come.

We had a delicious and scrummy high tea here. The staff were very friendly and happy to refill our tea pot. We decided to have a selection of sandwiches which included salmon and cream cheese, chicken, roast beef, egg, cheese and pickle - a great choice and all very tasty.
