Came here for lunch with my baby and the staff were very helpful and informative. The food was lovely and the wine was even better! No faults

30th August - Telford south water square - near Cineworld. Surprisingly Poor service, poor food. Not the usually high stand you find in all other pizza express resteraunt. Staff is new, unapologetic. The manager should be trained properly to pizza express standards, he then needs to close until the staff are trained and ready to operate a pizza express chain. I will be contacting the regional manger about what I experienced and 10-12 customers I also saw who were angry and upset about the 60-90 minute delay. -main issue - approximately 90 minutes hours until order arrived. This was abnormally high and the main reason I and many other customers were not happy. -some customers walked out. -Burnt gluten free dough balls, had to cut off burnt bits so daughter could eat something as wait was so long. Promised Replacement doughballs never arrived. -Lots of pizza going into boxes - 1 cook seemed to seemed to be struggling with 90% of the order workflow to prepare resteraunt orders and delivery orders. -Staff unfriendly , no smiles , no welcome, no apologies when orders delayed and complained. -10-12 customers complaining at kitchen staff at food preparation area. Some customers angry and shouting. -Never seen anything like this at any other Pizza Express. Avoid.

Wonderful experience dining here tonight ! We all very much enjoyed our food & the children loved the ice cream. Great value for money, kids eat free till start of September so they had a three course meal. Everywhere very clean and tidy and a very enjoyable evening. Would recommend & will return 😊

Always the same story but yet we continue to return. 50 minute wait for food…. Same excuse used regarding lack of staff. Every time we visit we have this issue. Really disappointing Visited Hull pizza express on Monday and WOW what a difference. Superb service and attention to detail. Please Avoid Telford Pizza Express and travel further afield.

Great service, lovely food really looked after us

We booked a table for several families. They required us to place an order a few days in advance so they could be ready on time but we had to wait over an hour for the food. The food was good but the service was totally lacking. At the end they were not able to calculate who should pay how much and how to calculate the deposit that we had to pay when booking the table

My advice, do not get delivery. Not only was our order incorrect (ordered a pizza and dough-balls, no pizza arrived). I called the restaurant 3 times regarding my order, the second call I was told it will be sorted.. an hour later nothing arrived so I call back, to be told that it had not been sorted at all. I was told there was an IT issue, but no one had the decency to call me, despite having my contact details, to tell me there was an issue? Incredibly disappointed and in no way will be returning to this establishment either in store or for delivery. The only positive I have to say is that the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was lovely, I just wish that he followed through with what he was telling me. As a tip to the restaurant, if there are issues, contact the customer. Don’t just leave us in limbo, it definitely does not help the situation.

We paid £50 deposit for booking few tables because there was a lot of us, we were asked to preorder food in advance so it's ready when we arrive. Long story short we waited 45 minutes for starters(simple pastry and tomato salad) and almost 1h and 20 minutes for main dish. What was the point in preordering food when we had to wait so long. We don't recall to hear sorry for the wait or any discount etc, on top of that we had to pay for "service" charge. What a waste of time.

Never have ventilation on, stuffy inhospitable environment. Thought we'd give it one more try. 3rd couple into the restaurant still waited over an hour for our food, other customers trying desperately to get the attention of the staff. Won't be going back.

Prepared before driver sort must of been sat an hour to cold not edible. Only live 5 mins away. Won't bother again

The service was amazing from the chef to the guys dishing out foood they were so kind and gave beautiful service! Throughout they all had a smile and were really kind

It was the most appalling experience I have had, poor fast food badly cooked ,loud staff one member eating and drinking in the kitchen area there was a staff table behind a screen littered with their rubbish ,I have eaten there before and it was nice but oh dear ,I think the place was run for the staff not the customers,

This place has gone down hill so fast! It use to be such a lovely place to visit over 2 years ago but now, it's a rubbish place. The atmosphere is horrible the staff look like zombies they don't care about the people they serve and the management - well monkeys would probably be able to work better then them combined, god knows how they hired them especially the general manger 💀 no customer service skills whata so ever!!!. The food as well isn't the best either I've been to many pizza express before and they food has always been amazing but this place it's for some reason nasty!! They need to close the whole place down and either get ALL new staff or put a better restaurant in it's place!!

Popped into Pizza Express for a late lunch early dinner and couldn't fault the service or the food. Perfect in every way, piping hot pizza's and wonderful desserts. Will definitely be returning.

Poorly presented and very oily pizza which didn't match expectations

I didn't recieve the correct order, when I told the delivery driver it was wrong he tried to fob me off. I refused to accept it and contacted yourselves via the app. As of yet I still haven't heard back. This had meant that I have needed to leave work early so that I could go and get something to eat. Not impressed at all.

We came here for a meal with friends while in the area. Had a good evening here as expected as a pizza express. The food was all very good, cooked fresh and not too long to wait despite a fairly big table of us. Staff very friendly too. Would definitely recommend coming here to anyone in the area.

Driver forgot all of my order other than the drink 😐 and when the restaurant asked just eat to get another rider to come bring the rest of it they refused, nothing on the restaurant but it’s just eat who’s at fault

Really lovely time. Staff were very busy but communicated with us as soon as they saw us waiting to be seated. We were quickly seated and our server Liam continued to be attentive and friendly for us, making sure we were well looked after through our meal. The pizzas were lovely, had the BBQ chicken and the calprese. Would definitely have these again as they were delicious. All in all, lovely food, friendly and attentive staff. Can’t ask for more

We attended on the evening of the 12th April, it wasn’t overly busy but was still an hour wait on food. We weren’t informed of this at any point. Food arrived and it was ok, my calzone was burnt around the edges and underneath so not entirely edible. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday but this was unfortunately ruined by staff and the large table next to us shouting at one another. I had to ask them to stop as it became so heightened but I was completely ignored. I’ve never experienced anything so poor! Granted we had our drinks given to us for free as an ‘apology’ but we absolutely won’t be returning.

Tried to walk in today at 1530. Restaurant had a few people in. Said not taking walk ins after busy dinner rush!!!!!! 5 staff walking around. Don't even bother going there. Absolute disgrace. Glad they can afford to turn away buisneaa.

Terrible , for sure never will try again , the pizza was completely burned and dry , no tasty at all , I wish to know how the GM or AM can let a food like that be out for the customer, I fell like I put my money to the bin

original delivery time was given, it arrived 2hrs later, no updates on web site. Chicken wings were cold and so was the pizza.

Pizza took well over an hour to arrive and when it did arrive it wasn't exactly warm. Pizza tasted like cardboard, absolutely disgusting and so chewy it made my jaw hurt. Won't be ordering from here again as it's an absolute waste of money. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

We went here after having to leave a pre-booked table at zizzis next door due to the awful service. The staff were great, couldn't have been more helpful in getting our food to us quickly as we had cinema tickets booked. The food was really tasty, piping hot and well presented. Will definitely be back.

I ordered at 16:30, I still haven’t received my order and it’s 19:05 despite it saying it’s been delivered. I am very disappointed in the delivery service being provided as this is what has prevented me getting my food and not the fault of the restaurant I’ve ordered from. The rating for the food quality is based off previous orders place with pizza express as I have never had an issue.

Pizzas were lukewarm, burnt and so thin in the middle it was mainly cheese. If I’d been eating in I would have sent them back but they were closed by time I realised.

The food was cold on arrival. I had guests over after a busy day. We decided to get a pizza from Pizza Express on my suggestion. It’s expensive so I was expecting excellent quality and the food was cold. It was very embarrassing.

We visited the Telford branch due to the poor service we had at Cannock. The attitude of the staff, service and quality of the food were poles apart. Can’t speak highly enough of the Staff at Telford. Would highly recommend this store.

This pizza definitely had no goats cheese on. Was made with normal cheese.

First time coming today (Monday 6th November). Lady greeted us by saying “are you vegan?” - which we are not. Chef seemed like he didn’t even want to be there, sour face. Overly expensive for 2 people, the pizza was doughy and only warm. We didn’t feel full after. May aswell should’ve gone to miller and carter a few places down, for probably an extra £10 and better food.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the lighting was yellowed and dimmer which I prefer and it helps my eye condition. That was a reason for choosing the place. We had a little wait to be seated but once we were drinks came straight away and food shortly after. Lots of veggie and vegan options. I did think the drinks (soft drinks) were overpriced for the size, only a small drink so we also had a pitcher of tap water for the table. The site is wheelchair accessible, there were 2 wheelchair users dining when we got there.

Very good service and meal was first class.

We were greater with a smile and seated at a lovely table. Service was prompt and quick, the food was hot, the team seemed happy they worked well together. They wanted to work and were happy to be there. Everyone was smiling. This is refreshing to see and nice when you are in an evening out. It is infectious. The atmosphere is nice and chilled. The restaurant is semi busy. Our food was lovely, we will come back. The resultant was clean and well presented the toilets were clean also. A good experience.

Food is stone cold not worth spending money on at all. Always loved ordering from here but not happy.

Just had lunch here and were quite wowed. The service from the young man (and the young lady chef) was exemplary. We had the new N’Djuja dough balls which were nice and spicy with melted cheese and king prawns with a light and fresh salsa. We then opted for the duo romana pizza where we each chose our own half. The pizza base was extra thin and was delicious. Followed up by the biscotti sundae and coffee. Thank you to the young man for looking after us, he is a credit to the company.

Delivery time kept getting pushed back. Update said delivery driver was waiting at restuarant but when food did arrive it was all very cold. Sauce pots were virtually empty but the pizzas were good once reheated.

Around 35 minutes late, driver wouldn’t follow delivery instructions AND the food was cold.

Good pizza and service. Just a bit pricey though.

ordered at 6:25 was ment to take 25 min but didn’t end up coming till 7:10 , was cold and the one pizza was basically upside down and all over the one side of the box

I’m usually a fan of Pizza Express but this must be one of their quieter and dullest of outlets. One chef, one girl waiting tables and another shuffling around stocking the drinks fridge. Ordered a duel Romano pizza, one half pepperoni and the other with anchovies - but got billed for a margarita with extra anchovies so it came to a total of £20.45. Seemed a bit expensive but couldn’t be bothered questioning it as I knew it’d be a waste of time. Will find somewhere else to go next time.

Hi I received the wrong order, and which I'm fairly sure isn't gluten free, so can't eat it.

Dough balls cold, burnt on the bottom and tasteless. Pizza had 12 scrawny pieces of chicken on and barely any cheese, intact the entire middle of the pizza was bare, no toppings at all? Was also cold and soggy. So disappointed, such a waste of money!

Pizza not cut, dough balls smaller than usual and uneven, missing toppings and all slightly cold. Other than that was as tasty as you'd expect for pizza express.

Family lunch, pizzas are tasty so no complaints. Desserts were pricey for how big they were so probably just have mains if we went again.

Lake of any vegan options and very unknowledgeable staff

Daughters went mad to eat here. Chance would have been a fine thing…. We stood waiting to be seated. Sadly over five minutes had passed and no member of staff acknowledged us (they were not busy, only three tables with guests) dispite passing close by. Not even ‘we will be with you shortly’ our daughters were upset as really looking forward to it. But we decided with that as a first impression that we didn’t want to stay and experience anymore as it was rude. So we went to the Miller and Carter and had a fabulous experience both service and food. Please try harder next time to make your guests feel welcome and wanted.

Everything was good. The service was excellent. However, I've used this restaurant regularly, and each time I ask for the starter garlic mushrooms, they're do not have them

Nice and big restaurant in a popular location. Very welcoming staff and fresh , tasty pizza and salads . It was our best choice during our stay in Telford. Of course we have gone to this chain restaurant in other cities and we have never been disappointed.

The food hot, tasty and fresh. The atmosphere was pleasant with the added bonus of no backgrond music. The staff were very attentive . We will happily go again.

Ordered from pizza express via just eat but received the wrong order. Repeated calls to the restaurant were just met with voicemail, and when I did eventually open the food to take pictures for a refund via just eat, the pollo Milanese was burnt, the Funghi di Bosco looked awful and the "loaded" pesto dough balls had maybe half a teaspoon of pesto between them! To Nicole, please know that the order you never received wasn't worth receiving anyway!

Received completely the wrong order, driver refused to take it back and the restaurant don't answer the phones. Looking at the state of the food we got through, not sure we would have been much better off if we had got our own order!!

Not happy at all missing my main items in my bundle and only receiving one item garlic butter was melted. Very disappointed when spending so much money here.

We were very well looked after by Adam during our visit for lunch. We arrived at 1pm and the restaurant was very busy and looked a bit short-staffed. We were seated quickly and immediately told there might be a bit of a wait for food. However, the kitchen team were working like the clappers and we had our mains within 30 minutes. Despite being very busy, Adam and other staff I spoke to were very friendly and ensured we were well-looked after with drinks and made the most of the kids menu for my daughter. Thanks team, we really enjoyed our lunch and you are doing a great job.

It was somewhere we had to go because we hadn't got any other options, and as expected the food wasn't great. But the staff were nice, although rushed off their feet. They even gave my little girl some mozzarella.

Unhelpful with an issue. Clear notes were added to the order which were ignored. Allen’s the restaurant to discuss and to arrange replacement food but sadly they weren’t interested, said that it wasn’t their problem and told me to contact Just Eat about it. Will not be ordering from Pizza Express again.

I can not complain about the service. The waiter was really friendly and polite. About the food, I was really disappointed. Fried polenta was wilted, tasted like oil, and certainly had been in the freezer too long. The taste was not good at all - out main was a Calabrese pizza, which I had high expectations, and it was disappointing. Pizza was burned, and the buffalo mozzarella tasted watered and rubber. The amount of toppings was in the barely minimum calabria sausage I could count it was 4 one in each side of the pizza, gran milano cheese was missing and a whole lot of rockets covering everything what was missing, the iconic rectangular pizza was poor and burned, we have ordered few drinks and the bill end up in approximately £50. The price is average but the product is not worth the price. Sorry, I do not recommend it.

Called in after holiday clothes shopping. Amazing service, amazing food and restaurant was exceptionally clean, bright and airy. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would visit again. Well done guys xx

Nice friendly staff. Asked for deep pan pizza but base was as thin as it could possibly be. I checked and it was correct. So hence knocking a couple of points off. Was well laud out clean and swift service. So my only negative was the extremely thin pizza base.
