Was there last Friday evening for fish specials. Superb food with a classic wine to match.

First visit here & won't be the last. Blown away by the food, the staff & the atmosphere. No rush at all, we could have sat there all night. Thank you.

The meal I had on Saturday night I can honestly say was the nicest meal I have ever had out. The menu was so good too.

A must-visit for those craving exceptional British cuisine and friendly hospitality. The menu blends classic and creative dishes. Impeccable friendly service. A true asset to the town.

Greeted at the door with a friendly welcome. Nice atmosphere on a Sunday evening with a spacious table suited to 3 people. Service was exceptional with information about the menu and specials. Throughout the evening, nothing was too much trouble, and the team was a pleasure to deal with. The food was spot on and is consistently good here. We're never disappointed at Heath House, thank you, and we'll definitely be back!

One of the best meals we've had in a long time! We've wanted to try Heath House Kitchen for a while after hearing lots of positive reviews and it certainly didn't disappoint. We were really impressed with the whole package tonight. Great service, great food, great ambiance. The menu was interesting with a great range of seasonal options, plus there was a lovely wine chest to browse through in addition to the wine list. The food was presented beautifully and was absolutely delicious. You could tell the chef had used fresh, quality produce. I had the venison haunch and it was delicious, highly recommend it. The service was good, with friendly and helpful staff, and the restaurant had a nice, cosy ambiance - it felt like a treat without being pretentious so you could still relax to enjoy your meal. It's not the cheapest, but nor is it overpriced, and considering the quality of food we had tonight it's definitely worth it for something a bit special.

absolutely amazing! Staff was so friendly and polite. Atmosphere - nice and cozy. So romantic when getting dark and all lights and candles make mood. Food is definitely worth the price! We tried scallops, black pudding, venison and steak. It was the best black pudding what I ever had! Seriously 🤤 It was amazing evening. We will come back definitely!

So damned jealous of Uttoxeter. This place is a gem, fab food, great selection of wine and staff who have both been trained and actually look like they want to be there. The owners have recruited well but have looked after the staff too. Fab to have such good fish choices too - crab. langoustines, Dover sole, … thoroughly excellent. We’ll be back if only to try one of the colossus puddings, none of us had an inch spare to try one … oh, finally, it’s a nicely decorated place with plenty of room between the tables. Have racked my brain for a “ if only …”, my brain has been found wanting. Uttoxeter, you’re bloomin’ lucky !!

A very pleasant anniversary evening.

It was the venue for my sons wedding reception, a place Jr has used many times. After our visit, I could why. We were a group in the mid 20's by number, and the bride is coeliac to make things even more difficult for the kitchen, but they managed admirably. The better half and I both agreed it was the best wedding food we had ever had, it was a wonderful experience and we will be back. The prices are also reasonable for the quality and size of the portions.

Sunday lunches are divine, good children's menu too. Also have an adult, smaller appetite section with a couple of options. The food is outstanding and all the staff are friendly but not overly. Nice choice of drinks and eating areas are bright and airy.

Me and my partner of 9 years got married yesterday and it was by far the best day of our lives. A huge part of our special day was Emma and the team at Heath House Kitchen, who knocked it out of the park catering for our intimate party of 24. We have eaten here numerous times and it is by far our favourite local place to eat, the food is always top notch and cooked to perfection; yesterday was no different. Emma went the extra mile before, during and after, making sure we were happy with everything every step of the way; helping us decorate the room until 1am the night before and catering for dietry requirements of everyone including my beautiful wife who has coeliac disease and therefore cannot eat gluten or have any cross contamination, i could go on but I would be here all night! We had a lot of foodies in the group and every single one commented on how good it was. I cannot recommend them enough! Thanks again ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This was a very last minute booking but I am so happy with the choice! Amazing staff, gorgeous setting and the food was unreal. You could tell it was all home made... even the ice cream is home made! The mash potato was incredible. Deserves more than 5 stars

We had a wonderful dinner at the Heath House Kitchen last night after the races. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The food was fantastic and we were looked after like family. Can definitely recommend.

Very disappointed on this my first visit, and my last. Waited 40 minutes after we ordered our meal, and when it appeared, there was not enough. I had one runner bean, one small carrot and two small roast potatoes, and one was black and hard. My Yorkshire pudding was also burnt, but at least the turkey tasted good. I actually felt hungry still when I left.

Spectacular food and wonderful service. Great attention to detail. We visited yesterday, called in short advance and booked our table for 2 which they had room for. We are staying at Alton towers overnight and decided to dine here as the reviews at the restaurants on site are poor. We were asked on the phone if we had any allergies or dietary requirements and there was a high level of attention paid to the one allergy our party had despite it being outside of the typical. I'm so thankful we made the decision to come here. Worth the drive out. The food was absolutely amazing and we couldn't fault it. We ordered scallops and arancini for starters which were both really good, great taste and presentation and the scallops were cooked as requested. They're sliced quite thin but you get a nice amount. The arancini were a good size too. We had the lamb rump (ordered pink but the option for well done) and the stone bass for mains. Both proteins cooked perfectly and with really well done accompaniments which added to the dish. We also had a side of cheddar mash and seasonal veg and requested a portion of extra gravy. All the food was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The addition of fennel was really nice and all the flavours worked in harmony. The fish dish was quite buttery and had a perfect level of citrus to cut through the richness. The service was wonderful and the staff were knowledgeable and polite. There was a wide selection of specials from skate wings, duo of pork, Cornish crab to share, and lobster thermidor to name a few and it's really refreshing to see specials be interesting additions rather than using up waste. Would 100% recommend if you're local to the area or just visiting. Definitely made the meal one to remember

Excellent food, so fresh and tasty, excellent staff, friendly and happy in their work (loved the singing when you went into the kitchen!!) and excellent atmosphere, relaxed and cosy. All round great experience. Great home cooked food freshly cooked and seasonal veg too. The steak and stout pie was my choice today and did not disapoint totally full of steak. Staff were great 👍😁 Sorry didnt take any pics 😬

I recently dined at Heath House Kitchen in Uttoxeter and I must say, I had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing, and the people were very friendly, making it an all-around wonderful dining experience. I was particularly impressed by Emma, who was extremely helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. Her knowledge and passion for the food were evident, and it made the dining experience even more enjoyable. At the end of the meal, I had the pleasure of meeting Dave, the head chef. It was great to see the person behind the delicious dishes I had just enjoyed. He was very kind and humble, and I could tell that he took great pride in his work. Overall, I really loved my visit to Heath House Kitchen and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. I can't wait to visit again and see the restaurant continue to grow and flourish.

Excellent English restaurant serving home cooked dishes with a touch of elegance. Portion sizes large. Service was friendly. Background music from 60's to 90's was a bit too loud.

We booked Heath House Kitchen as the location to spend an intimate evening with some very close friends to celebrate my 49+1 Birthday. We had never been before. We were in for a treat! The food was spectacular. It could not be better. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was 5 STAR! Every wish was catered too. The staff went out of their way to ensure everyone's needs were met. FANTASTIC. Came here to celebrate my Mums birthday last week. I can not explain in words how good this restaurant is. The staff were welcoming, they had a great sense of humour and were very engaging. The food was outstanding. We had a great meal last night with all four of us partaking in the special ‘pie night’ menu. We all had a different type of pie and they were all delicious. Great value too. Service was excellent as usual and a lovely bottle of English wine to accompany our meal.

Made to feel very welcome , we were early tea due to our baby and chef was in charge and he was very attentive even while cooking 👏 All our courses were very nice indeed , clearly home cooked using good quality ingredients , will definitely be back , thank you 👍

What can I say the best Sunday lunch I have had in a long time would highly recommend.

Great food and atmosphere, friendly staff, timely wait times. The food especially is home cooked and really really tasty. The portion size is perfect and the price is very similar to what you would pay at a chin restaurant. The drinks are in bottle what is the only downside but again they are well priced so you don’t feel like your being sold a lemon. Will be coming again soon.

Heath house is my favourite place to eat out.... The food is outstanding, the staff are super attentive, it's the full experience of a Michelin Starred Restaurant but without the price tag. Additionally: we have been again, and this place just keeps getting better, the staff went above and beyond with our order helping us with our fussy eater young daughter. Its all the little things that really make it an outstanding visit! This is a must do for anyone in Staffordshire to try out

Myself and my partner came here as a last minute resort this evening as other restaurants were difficult to get to and fully booked. What a blessing in disguise! I am so grateful that we came here. The sweet chilli beef and the vodka fried seabass were excellent. Just the right amount of seasoning and bursting with flavour. I would have stayed for dessert but both me and my partner were shattered from hiking. You could tell the food was prepared with a lot of effort and the chef really cared about every dish that was made. Absolutely would recommend to everyone. Whilst the wait time is a little longer than normal, it is worth every minute. Thank you for serving me one of the best meals of the peak district (not even an exaggeration).

We had a company meeting here, fantastic buffet and and service, highly recommended. We now had our Ruby wedding anniversary dinner here, what fantastic food and service.

Family and friends dinner. The service, the food in fact the whole experience was 5 star. Absolute asset to the town. 3 of us at the meal were chefs. So the 5 star rating from us was not given lightly.

We had a fantastic time at the Burger and Boardgame session today! Tops to the chef and staff for this lovely family run restaurant. The burgers were one of the best I've ever had and they were fun to make and design too. We played Takenoko whilst we were there and finished off with a game of Skulls, two games which weren't in our personal collection but we were able to play here. Thank you for a lovely day out! Next time we'll plan more time in to play more board games with friends!! We felt welcome to socialise (as 20 something year olds) and we felt welcome to stay as long as we wanted to. Sehr leckeres Essen. Freundliche Bedienung. Absolut empfehlenswert. Trotzdem wir keine Reservierung hatten, wurde es möglich gemacht, dass wir in Ruhe essen konnten. Sehr wichtig war der Bedienung, ob es irgendwelche Allergien gegen Lebensmittel gab.

Wow! Went to Heath House kitchen at 4:15 pm today for a meal. I'd seen photos of their meals on FB and they looked great. It did not disappoint! Two hot and harassed grandma's (after being to the park) and a "lively" toddler. Staff were great, warm and friendly bringing toys and jigsaws immediately for the little one, a very welcome fan for us and a much needed jug of iced water!!! As they were still serving Sunday lunch I went for the mixed meat plate. I asked for extra crackling with the pork. Janet had sea bass which she said was delicious. They served the little one a "teeny tiny" Sunday roast which was free! He really enjoyed the turkey, veg and potatoes. There was a variety of vegetables with my roast- parsnip, carrot, cauliflower cheese, even broad beans! The meat was tender, gravy was delicious but for me, the star on the plate was the roasties! Crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Everything was hot and well presented. The atmosphere was relaxed, beautiful white linen tablecloths and blue linen serviettes and everywhere was spotlessly clean. I can't recommend this restaurant enough and I will definitely return! Thank you to the chef and staff at Heath House Kitchen!!

Defo a quirky hidden gem when staying in Uttoxeter that I came across on Google. Don't be put off it being nestled in a residential estate, in what looks a bit like a converted row of terrace houses that also houses a small business centre. The food was excellent: freshly cooked, tasty, hot, and good portion sizes. The dishes I ordered were adapted to my meet IBS dietary requirements. Its not "cheap", but absolutely hits the price point in terms of quality and quantity. Just over £30/head including drinks and a mix of starters/deserts with the mains between our group of 3. The service was also excellent. Very friendly and accomodating without being overbearing, or in your face. Will dine here again when in the area.

Amazing experience. Quality food at a good price!

We had an absolutely outstanding dinner - everything was delicious! We had the samphire pesto with the tomatoes and scallops to start - both fabulous. Then we had Guinea foul and the beetroot tart, again both amazing. The chips are the best we have ever had! And both my super fussy kids loved their sausages and chips. Deserts were similarly amazing - two of us shared the green brûlée and the kids chocolate cake was great and very generous. The Dime ice cream is a revelation! The only fault is it’s too far away from where I live - we visited when in the area on holiday - otherwise I would go all the time!! This place is great and we all thoroughly recommend it.

It was our second time at Heath House Kitchen last night and we only wish we'd discovered it sooner. The food is beautifully presented and cooked. Every single thing we've ordered so far has tasted absolutely delicious. There is an extensive selection of drinks and a very relaxed atmosphere is ensured by the exceptional service which is friendly, conscientious and competent. I think this is a wonderful restaurant and it's quite clear an awful lot of care and passion go into providing this perfect dining experience for which we are very grateful. Plus, it's excellent value for money. After both visits I've woken up the following morning already looking forward to the next time. Outstanding in every way. I couldn't recommend Heath House Kitchen more highly.

Great food, amazing service, all round special dining experience. We dined here after a hectic two days at Alton towers to celebrate a family birthday. We were a large party and were well taken care off, given our own room beautiful decorated and given a very warm welcome as we arrived tired and hungry. The chef came and spoke to us after the meal, you could tell he was very proud of his dishes, and they were delicious. And this just added to the overall lovely experience. We had a few kids with us and staff went to extra effort to accommodate them. Will definitely return if are ever in the area again.

Spacious area with comfortable chairs for dining. Service and food were excellent. The head chef made it round all the tables chatting with the customers which was a lovely touch. menu options were good too.

The atmosphere, food and drinks are always absolutely perfect here. Definitely the best place in Uttoxeter to dine. It is set in a conference centre but doesn't feel like it with all the beautiful fairy lights and stunning table settings. Very friendly and helpful staff. Without a doubt a 5 star restaurant 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I recently attended my first "live" Uttoxeter Business Network meeting at Heath House after over a year of "virtual meetings". I could not have been made more welcome- special thanks to the chef who provided my vegan breakfast with extra mushrooms- much appreciated.

I have just taken my wife and daughter to HH kitchen, and wow wow what unbelievable food-taste seasoning, everything was just awesome! This was our first time-and most certainly won’t be the last, great people super food-and very respectable prices! I’d give six stars if there was.

We had lunch on Saturday with my mother, who is 83 and uses a walker. First things first: this restaurant has generous space to accommodate a walking frame or wheelchairs , I should think: no steps, wide doorways, space between tables, and the loo is also fully accessible. As to the food, it is wonderful. The dishes are creative and elegant, using fresh and interesting ingredients. It is rare to find a restaurant where as much ingenuity and attention is lavished on the vegetarian/vegan fare as on the meat/fish dishes, and it was lovely for the veggie in our party to be so well catered-for. My mother also took the vegan option and declared her first encounter with tempeh a success. I had the scallops followed by the pork cooked with apples - so good. The desserts were equally good. Although I didn't have any wine (driving) I saw that the wine list represented an interesting selection, including several available by the glass. Alcoholic drinks were also listed with the number of units they represent, which was a useful touch. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the restaurant was comfortable. The prices were not high for such a classy meal. All in all, this place is a gem.

We thoroughly enjoyed a 3 course meal here. Chicken satay for starters, the tomahawk pork for main and the pistachio desert. Simply amazing😍 Everything was cooked to perfection. Melt in the mouth food. Waitress was above and beyond. Super polite and extremely friendly. Mood was perfect. Absolutley a 5* from us, would give 10 if I could. Thank you very much and compliments to the chef. Our first time finding this little gem and only 5mins from my house on foot We will absolutley be back.

This place is a real 'find' - lovely food - decent portions - very friendly. My wife and I stopped in here for a late lunch. We had the steak pie and chips - which sounds simple but here it has been elevated to something really special. The pastry was crisp and crumbly it was stuffed full of soft juicy meat and gravy. The veg was crisp and fresh and the chips were fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside. For dessert we had gingerbread - rather like a sticky toffee pudding but ginger, with stem ginger ice-cream and an orange drizzle. Really good! The food was all made in-house, even the ice-cream. Emma was great at front of house - when we asked for the recipe for the gingerbread - David, the chef, came out from the kitchen to give it to us. ..as I said at the beginning - a great find - we'll definitely return..

Absolutely wonderful food, hence why the four stars, but the place is a bit soulless. The music was either to high or off and then you could here a pin drop, not a very comfortable experience. But as said amazing food.

What a find!, Lovely relaxed atmosphere, beautiful food and really nice staff. The 3 course lunch we had was outstanding and we will definitely be back.

The tables are nicely spaced out and the food and service is great! The chef does a range of foods and specials each week which adds some variety. Some of the beers are locally sourced Uttoxeter Brewing Co which adds to the nice, friendly, local feel.

Food was good but nothing special. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. It was an odd setting which didn't feel like a restaurant, on a wobbly table in a room so dimly lit we could barely read the menus. There was a cold draft and we were charged for some extra veg that we neither ordered nor received. There was also the irritation of being refused a drink as I didn't have my driving license with me, despite being 24 and legally allowed to drink with a meal at 16. I had various bank/credit/student cards with me but not the ID the staff wanted. Pathetic and over-zealous enforcement of a 'challenge 25' policy. (challenge 25 is an optional policy not the law!!)
