After visits for 5 years, taking many friends tonight yet again, an awesome meal with top service . Our friends who drove from Solihull raved about both the great meal and top service .

Staff lazy took them over half an hour to ask if we wanted desert,left sat there,while main waitress put her coat on then went behind the bar ,and stuffed her face

Me and my boyfriend came here for our anniversary and we had the mozarella fritte, presentation was nice but not quite a fan personally. We ordered a side of bruschetta with spicy sausage which was a lovely side dish. He had the skewered lamb and tuscan sausage which was very nice and the sauce was tasty. I ordered the house chicken with parma ham and cheese with wilted spinach and tomato sauce. The chicken was cooked well but there was an overload of cheese all over and both dishes could have been presented abit nicer. The tiramisu for dessert was adequate but was not the best I've had. Overall, very nice and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Had an excellent dining experience here. Had the Tuesday special menu. 2 courses for £17. Hubby had 4 cheese pizza . It's the best pizza ever had. Homemade tomato and basil soup delicious along with the homemade lasagne. The homemade vanilla cheesecake delicious as well. Staff excellent especially Jess. The decor was very Italian with a cozy atmosphere and the restaurant was warm. Toilets clean.

Absolutely fantastic experience at La Terrazza. The staff were really friendly and attentive throughout and the food was outstanding.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautifully themed, the food delicious and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I advised them in advance that it was my son's birthday & they made a big fuss of him which left him grinning from ear to ear. Would love to visit again if we're in the area.

We arrived some 30 minutes early to have a pre-diner drink and read the menu. This option was not available as soon as we arrived, we were shown to our table and that set the tone for the evening. On the web site I had been unable to locate the wine list. When presented to us at table it was limited as was the information about each wine though the prices did not seem limited. Likewise I was unable to find a pudding list on the web site. There are some 6-8 meat (steak) courses none of which give any indication as to the weight of the steak being sold. When I asked I was told, between 6-8oz. Really? The food is not spectacular and so I would not rate this as a place for a special celebration. Neither is it cheap so just to pop in for a quick Italian meal also has little going for it My suggestion for anyone considering eating here is to look at their web site first and satisfy yourself why, when places liker Domino and Pizza Hot clearly state the size of their Pizza, this place does not. A round trip of 40 miles left me unimpressed. Even if I were closer, very very much closer I doubt if I would go again

Celebrating Grandson Birthday. Lovely authentic restaurant. Great food, lovely staff, who took their time to explain the menue to us. Six of us and, we all enjoyed our meal choices .

Went 20 or more years ago and wanted to go out somewhere local and have a special occasion. We couldn't have been treated any better. My wife who's birthday we were celebrating was made to feel especially welcome from the moment we arrived to the end, everyone created a lovely atmosphere, the service was excellent and the food delicious.

The desserts were in a see-through display cabinet and impossible to resist! The waiting staff were all female, very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Even though we arrived early to eat, the restaurant was already quite full, and was packed by the time we left. We paid £85 for the first meal and £110 for the second – with tips. Well recommended, but booking is absolutely required.

Food was ok but the service was seriously lacking. We had our mains served while we were still eating our starters which made the evening feel rushed and slightly awkward.

Reservation recommended! Authentic Italian cuisine. Called here having moored our boat on the Trent Mersey canal. My chicken in a pepper tomato sauce meal was to a family recipe and was ... Superb! Followed by home made tirramasso that was not over sweet or creamy. Wine was a good compliment. Price was it cost £110 for 4 people including drinks, antepasta, and wine If you live in Rugeley you're lucky, if not, make the effort!

I dont usually post reviews but tonight’s service has been exceptional. The combined surprise when we ordered 7 plates of pasta along with 3 starters (between 2 people) was comical and very sweet. We could not have asked for a better experience with genuinely phenomenal food for a low price. Hopefully you all got a good chuckle at watching us struggle to finish. :D Thank you so much ❤️

Classic Italian restaurant. Doing the basics well. Great place to go with family to get some pasta and pizza. Very popular.

First visit (which is crazy cos we can almost see the restaurant from our house)! Loved the leafy walkway into the restaurant - a sort of Narnia experience (walking past, you would never imagine what lies within). Made to feel very welcome and fitted in without booking (the restaurant soon started to fill up which is always a good sign at 6.00 on a Tuesday evening)! We went for mains of sea bass served in parchment with asparagus, and veal with creamy porcini sauce on wilted spinach (we shared a side of roast potatoes with garlic and rosemary which were perfection). The house chianti was perfect with both dishes and we took the bottle home for a last glass in our garden. One of us finished with tiramisu with hazelnut ice cream, and the other a superb latte (delish cheeky macaroons on the side)! Our only regret is that we didn’t discover this wonderfully authentic venue years ago!

Very busy & vibrant place . Wonderful food & great wine . Our party chose from the daily specials options , passionately described to us by a member of staff . I personally had sea bass stuffed with spinach and a side of Zucchini. Others had steaks , all were cooked to perfection . We had four courses of Italian wonderfulness & look forward to a return visit . I can highly recommend !!

The most beautiful selection of fresh, authentic Italian dishes. Each of the 4 members of our party tried eachothers food and nobody had any complaints. Really polite staff, nice clean and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go again (if we can ever secure a table as it’s so popular!)

Such a romantic restaurant and the food is absolutely delicious. It is a little on the pricey side but one hundred percent worth it as the portions are huge and the ingredients all very fresh. The staff are all really friendly and the atmosphere is spot on. Am returning in May for my husband's 40th and the staff have helped me plan his "big present" reveal, which is really lovely of them.

I really enjoyed the food, the service was excellent, & the atmosphere was fab. 3 tables were celebrating birthdays. The staff are really helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We booked a 6pm slot & the place was packed. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Currently going to visit the top 20 restaurants in Staffordshire and this was next on my list. We went on a Tuesday night so there was an offer on of 2 courses for £17 which we ended up getting. Starters and mains were superb. Really big portions. I had the lasagne that was amazing. Only slight downside was the dessert of tiramisu wasn't quite sweet enough. Ive had better. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the best I've had either. But still lovely. Staff were great, thoroughly recommend going to this place if you are ever in Rugeley

Goodness me, don't hesitate, go. I have a few dietary issues and wow my meal was flipping fantastic, proper old fashioned hospitality welcome. Wish I lived in Rugeley as would book a regular weekly table. I can't imagine anyone not liking this place, I felt like I had a spaghetti hug. I am from Italian ancestry and it felt like going home. My lovely meat and 2 veg husband ate pasta that wasn't spaghetti bolognaise, the first time I have seen this in 40 years, he loved it. ⭐

Very friendly staff, good choice of food and some specials, my pasta dish was the 2nd best pasta dish I've ever had. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and try something else 👍

Came up from Cornwall for a day at Alton Towers with 5 really cool teenagers, mine and their friends. Wanted to have a nice meal out after our day at the park. Such a beautiful restaurant, with great staff showing the hospitality world how it should be done! The food was really good and to be honest at such good quality the price was very reasonable too! Highly recommended 👌

We attended to celebrate a 40th birthday this week. Lovely warm welcome from the front of house hostess, nice to be seated in the bar and not ushered straight to our table especially as we were a few minutes late! We were able to chat with a drink and have a look at the menu. The hostess was kind and understanding, taking the time to discuss menu options with the coeliac in our party (vast choice in case you have the condition). Once seated we enjoyed very friendly and efficient service, and lovely food too. The waitresses were genuinely warm and really enhanced the whole experience. I can recommend this place if you enjoy an authentic Italian experience.

Excellent food and service! We booked for a special family meal as my parents were visiting from abroad and everything was wonderful from start to finish! Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service despite the large group! Special dietary needs were met and we all left with full tummy’s and smiles on our faces! Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit!

First time visiting this restaurant and wasn't disappointed. Excellent food, well presented and hot. Large choice of Italian dishes and sides. Attentive staff and best pint of Peroni I've ever had. Atmosphere is very authentic and quaint. Will definitely return.

We had booked a table for two but they seemed surprised to see us. Eventually got seated, watched the table next to us have their starters and another table finish dessert and pay and leave … while we waited for them to take our order. ONE HOUR AFTER ARRIVING they finally took our order. Too late by then for starters we opted for a main meal and drinks. It arrived reasonably quickly but was uninspiring. Yes they gave us a free mocktail ( we were both driving) but other than that it was very disappointing. And to add insult to injury, when we left, the group of waiting staff gathered near the exit couldn’t even be bothered to acknowledge us, affirming to us the staff ARE miserable and can’t be bothered with a paying customer. We will not visit again!

Only one issue with a starter a bit bland. Service overall was very good, just one waitress wore her hair down in bunches and at one point saw it hanging on fresh plates being laid up. By the end of the night she had put it behind her shoulders. Didn't realise ugg slippers were the normal for Service either.

Fantastic as usual. Birthday celebration. They covered the table with confetti and all the staff gave their birthday wishes. Food delicious as usual empty plates all round. Terrific service as always thank you.

Staff were very friendly and quick to seat us before our sitting. Food was delicious but did have to wait a little longer than would of liked. Also waiting for drinks top ups was disappointing. Was also a little too warm once more people arrived as seating was close. Overall with the staff and food being excellent it didn't put too much of a dampener on the evening for son's birthday meal.x

Visited here with a couple of friends last Friday and must say that the food was delicious! I only had a salad for a starter then a margarita pizza for main as I didn’t fancy anything out of the ordinary. It turns out this was a great choice as although the pizza was essentially a ‘plain’ pizza it was one of the tastiest I have ever eaten! The service wasn’t the fastest but it was busy in the restaurant so the timeframe was expected. Would definitely recommend the food from here.

What a gem! I'm originally a Rugeley lass but never ate at the Terrazza, and can't believe I left it this long to make my inaugural visit. When my partner and I arrived, our booked table had only just been vacated, but there's some comfy seating in the foyer next to the bar, and the manager handed us menus to peruse while they prepped our table. The decor is traditionally Italian with candlelit tables: a really lovely aesthetic especially for family parties or dates. You can also see the kitchen in action through an alcove, and the dessert cabinet is on-display. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our visit, and the lady who brought the card machine to our table (blonde hair tied back in a ponytail, dark lipstick, mid-twenties maybe?) was very bubbly and enthusiastic, asking if we'd visited before and if we'd enjoyed our meals, etc. She's a real credit to the restaurant. With any Italian restaurant new to me, I'll pick something classic like the lasagna or the carbonara as a main to see how they hold up, so the latter it was. It was absolutely gorgeous, this ranks up there with the cuisine I ate in Roman restaurants! My companion, who's been to the Terrazza before, had the Spiedini di Carne (lamb and Italian sausage on a kebab-type skewer with Mediterranean veg). For a starter, we shared the pizzette ripiene - pizza dough balls with a dipping sauce, with a rocket and balsamic-dressing accompaniment. All the food was absolutely delicious with good portion sizing - we wished we had room for dessert, but we were too well-fed this time 'round! There's plenty of parking around Rugeley but your closest is the car park adjacent to the church opposite (pay and display), or outside Home Bargains/Argos (free). It's only a minute or so's walk to the front door. The Terrazza is intimate and quite popular - all lends to the lively, lovely atmosphere, but it is required to book your table. The restaurant is all ground floor, no sets of steps. All in all, a really lovely time was had by both of us, and I've recommended it to other locals too. Definitely one to return to!

Service was excellent and food was delicious! We were originally sat by a large party who were quite excited…. Without asking we were moved to a quieter table. This was only our second visit here but we will definitely be back.

Me and my partner visited the restaurant after hearing amazing reviews from some of our friends. The restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The menu isn’t too big but has more than enough choice for anyone who loves Italian food. My partner was unsure of what to order and was assisted by who I believe to be the manager. We were guided through the menu and were provided with all of the information we needed to make our choice. We ordered the deep fried pizza balls as a starter and two separate pasta dishes. All of the food was incredible! We want to take a moment to thank all of the staff who made our first visit so enjoyable and we will most certainly be back in the near future!

True hidden gem, if this food was served in Italy it would not be out place. Since my first review, standards have not dropped a single beat. Still fantastic.

What a great place, it’s much larger than it looks , very busy on a Saturday with a great atmosphere. We ordered the meat and fish platters great value and for main the lamb with rosemary sauce highly recommended,, the calzone was amazing. Really good value for what we had must return

Incredible! Such amazing and authentic food. The atmosphere was brilliant with once again authentic decor. It was just like being in Italy. We can’t recommend it enough. We were recommended it from our hairdresser and we couldn’t have been more impressed. This is going to be our new favourite place. All the staff were so attentive and friendly but Denissa went above and beyond. Can’t wait to go back.

This was our first visit to La Terrazza, despite it having been recommended to us by friends on a number of occasions. We are so glad we finally got there. We received a really warm welcome on arrival and the excellent service continued throughout the evening. The restaurant was busy and had a great buzz about it, even on a midweek evening. The food was delicious and the menu full of interesting choices- it felt like a truly authentic Italian experience. Can’t believe it took us so long to discover La Terrazza- we will certainly be back soon!

A fabulous meal at a restaurant we should definitely visit more often. We are very lucky where we live as we have a great gastropub within walking distance. The only downside to that is that we don't visit restaurants slightly further afield as often as we should, such as the excellent Terrazza. We hadn't been for a couple of years, but we were immediately reminded of just how good the food and service were and considering it was a Wednesday night, it was very busy - always a good sign. One this is for sure, we won't leave it so long before we visit again. Highly recommended.

This place is unbelievable! We arrived without reservations, party of 6, they were full and they go out of their way to set up the patio for us. All the staff were friendly and engaging. Superb service. The owner took our order, she was a true delight. You quickly see that her style and presentation is the example by which the leads the staff. The food was exactly what you would expect to go along with such great service. We each ordered something different and all of it was excellent. Get reservations and go here!!!

First time here lovely place and fabulous meals

Finally we made a long planned visit to La Terrazzo; we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the food matched it. The carbonara, ravioli and ragu were all really enjoyable; the wine choice was reasonable and the white wine suitably chilled. We had thought our waitress was the manager because she was so efficient and knowledgeable so it sums up how well it was run. We had some doubts about acoustics; there was a large party and noise levels rose quickly but this did not affect the service, nor would it prevent us visiting once more.

Absolutely superb Nicola and Nicki run a first class place that feels like you’re eating somewhere exclusive and special . Hard to believe this is Rugeley and just 4 doors from my childhood home! I have been three times before in small to medium groups...

Working away and seen this place had some good reviews so I had a go. The food was amazingly tasty, and the service was really good, I had the Scollop and Prawn fresh ravioli starter, Chicken stuffed with Asparagus and cheese in a field mushroom sauce, also had breaded courgette underneath which were stunning. Sides of Garlic and Rosemary Roast Potatoes, peas with pancetta and onion. The staff were really friendly and by the amount of people in there in a Tuesday its clearly popular.
