FUSO in Bromsgrove

Have ordered several times and every single time there's and issue, accepted order never turns up. Or is stone cold. Courier seems to be at restaurant for over 30 mins ? Very very disappointed, if you can't complete orders don't take them

Food was tasty. Main course portion quite small. Price for starters too high, ditto the (very small) bellini. Staff friendly.

The pizza looked like a child's drawing of a pizza, nothing like the pictures on Google or the pizza we got previously half a year ago. It wasn't hot, it wasn't real mozzarella and various described ingredients were missing. It was very disappointing. It was like an awful supermarket pizza. Also trying to use the 10% discount for registering my email address on their page only to be told it's only for dining-in, when all it says on the page is "on your next visit". What made this 2 stars for the food instead of 1 is that the Zucchini fries were decent.

Lovely food, good value. Apple pie ice tea Mocktail was horrible but that is the only minor. Pizzas, carbonara, CASARECCEPOLLO PICCANTE, CASARECCE ARRABBIATA all amazing. Service could have been slicker, we had to wait 15 mins for a booked table and there is nowhere really to chill and wait, and only one toilet, but I would definitely go back again.

We were a table of 6 and all agreed that this was the best roast we’d ever had at a restaurant! This included one of the party being gluten free and one being vegetarian. So nice to see different options for vegetarians and gluten free not missing out (the Yorkshire pudding was swapped for more roasties). Fantastic and attentive service by Chris. We will be sure to recommend this roast and we will be back! Thank you for a lovely birthday celebration meal.

The food is mediocre, and the service is terrible. Their listed closing time is 11 PM, but if you're the last table, they keep pressuring you to finish, even when it's clear you're still eating. My husband still had a piece of pizza on his plate and half a pint left, yet they repeatedly asked if we were done. This was our second visit, and both experiences were unpleasant. The first time, we overheard the waiter groaning as we walked in around 9 PM, clearly annoyed by our arrival. The second time, they kept rushing us despite us still eating. When we went to pay, we noticed the owner/chef glaring at us from another table, looking frustrated. If you don’t want customers past a certain time, be upfront and close the kitchen instead of making guests feel unwelcome. To top it off, this is the second time I’ve gotten sick after eating here—first with a bad flu and now with a stomach bug. Their hygiene standards might be worth reconsidering before dining here. The funniest part? They shamelessly asked us for a tip—after all that mistreatment! We actually felt pressured to leave one, which only added to the disappointment. What a shame…

Great local Italian food. Great service and selection of food and drinks

We went to meet family here as it's halfway for us and them. The service was friendly and polite - nothing was too much trouble. The food was simple and honest and good value. If you're allocated a table downstairs they mention it at booking but they don't mention you're right next to the door and it's chilly especially when the door is opened. It's also not very cosy downstairs so I wouldn't go again unless I could sit upstairs. Overall a good experience.

Visited for a meal in January 2025. We enjoyed our food and the service was efficient and friendly but not overbearing - just right. It was a nice environment to eat in. I did think that the half pint % premium was too high - £6.95 for a pint of Leffe which is to be expected given the ABV, but a half pint of the same beer was £4.95. I’d have liked another half but just stuck to my first pint on point of principle - the half pint pricing structure encouraged me to spend less rather than spend more.

Amazing food excellent staff just busy but lovely place would highly recommend

The drinks, service and food were all superb. Lovely team well lead by the manager who treated us like gold. I have the lamb meatballs pasta served by one of the best cocktail I’ve ever had, I think it was called a strawberry sour. It’s nice to see a small and very successful restaurant ran by such young but capable staff. Can’t wait to come again 10/10

A table for two on New Years Eve was just a superb way to see out the old year and see in the new year. I went for the steak Tagliata and my partner opted for the Boscaiola pizza. Both were absolutely delicious, I have to say, I reckon the steak is one of the best meals I’ve had in Aston Fields, ever. Well done Fuso team, you deserve all the plaudits. See you in 2025!

We came for My sons 21st Birthday. A big group of 25! We had the upstairs to ourselves and it was perfect. The staff were so friendly, fun, helpful and simply brilliant. The food was so delicious. Would definitely recommend and we all will be coming back again. Thanks Team Fuso ☺️

The food was excellent. We couldn't fault it and the choices on the menu were varied. I also thought it was good value. Staff were very helpful and as it was a birthday celebration, they were happy to help with the cake.

Great food, passionate staff, nice restaurant, recommended. Initially I had a bad experience with Fuso; to be clear, this was the fault of the JustEat delivery driver, and not Fuso. As a result, Alex from Fuso reached out to me, took ownership and apologised for the situation, then offered to do everything he could to make it right. The resulting service and food was outstanding. Alex and I chatted when I went to the restaurant, and you could tell there was genuine passion behind the food and the service. They are also about to update their menu, so I’ll be going back in future to check it out. Thanks again to Alex. Strongly recommended.

Visiting the area, went here after reading the reviews. The food was really good. Highly recommend the pizzas, carbonara, salads and desserts. Staff were really friendly and efficient. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The Sunday menu at Fuso is to die for. The roast itself is very good value for money and flavoured perfectly. The sides are an extra bonus. Pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese and stuffing balls. Definitely my favourite place a Sunday lunch. Would highly recommend

Sunday lunch - just wow! Heard about it and I have to agree that it is the best Sunday lunch in the area. Try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. We enjoy your regular menu but I was blown away by the Sunday lunch

Went for roast dinner today. Been other times for pizza and pasta. Roast was absolutely delicious. The only thing I really didn't like was, I asked for cranberry sauce and horseradish and the waiters literally picked up the jars from other tables, with the same spoon in, and put it on our table. Felt it was really unhygienic and ideally people should be given separate pots.

Service not good,we're not asked if we needed any more drinks,not offered desserts snd nobody asked how the meal was I must say food is excellent but manager needs to train his staff

Early evening anniversary meal - salmon tempura starter with rocket and pesto mayo- side ciabatta nduja & cheese was a good option ( and enjoyed)then chicken/harissa risotto and side courgette tempura .I had griddled swordfish with an excellent red and yellow pepper/pineapple salsa and Greek fries.Prosecco aperitif and wine ( 2 large pinot Grigio and 250ml Primitivo )all less than £50 each. Inventive menu and excellent.Staff attentive and pleasant- yes I tipped. Really great for Aston Fields . They do a tue/thu takeaway pizza deal at £10 which is our next venture. Well done!!

My son booked a table for my birthday on a Sunday decided to have Sunday lunch as been recommended, omg we had the lamb shanks was absolutely amazing so tasty best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had. Thank you so much 👍

Really bad experience here, arrived as a table of 7 at 7pm on 10/08. Chris our waiter was lovely throughout the evening however, we waited 2 hours for our food. People who came in after us had eaten their meals and left ! I spoke with Chris who was very apologetic about the situation and spoke with his manager to see if there was anything that they could do which I saw her shrug her shoulders. Not very professional. At no point during the evening did the manager come over to us to see if there was anything that they could do for us. We felt sorry that the staff had to explain the issue and apologise to us when this should have been dealt with by management. We were offered 25% off after waiting 1hr 30 mins which we agreed with however still waited another 30 mins to get our food. So we ended up with 50% off the bill. Don’t offer people a free shot when they have been waiting for their food for so long, it’s a bit on an insult. The management really needs to step up and accept responsibility when something like this happens and explain to your customers. A shame really as the food was lovely. Oh, just a tip - bring the steak sauce when the steak meal is brought out.

Came here last night for my sister's Birthday. The menu offers a good choice of sea food, pizzas and Mediterranean dishes. The food tasted fresh and service was great .Highly recommend the mussels, pizza and swordfish.

So, mom’s 85th birthday lunch with the family and no where better than FUSO in Aston Fields Bromsgrove. Chef Alex and his team always provide a wonderful experience from fabulous food to outstanding service. Thanks guys you are the best.

Excellent food and service couldn't fault it. Nice welcome, great beers and wine, superb cheese fondue starter and the all of our mains excellent, swordfish, steak, pasta and risotto. They even gave our son a complimentary dessert as he had just graduated a lovely gesture! We will return soon

We’ve lived in Bromsgrove for over a year but this is the first time we’ve visited Fuso - it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and we were pleased to see the excellent range of specials and desserts. There was a really good range of vegetarian options across starters, mains, and desserts. The wait staff were efficient and attentive, and we felt well looked after. We’ll definitely be back, thank you!

I took my daughter here who’s recovering from an operation to try to help her with appetite and I have to say they did not disappoint. The food we had was amazing and we will be returning in the next few days. Really enjoyed!!

The frito mixture starter was over battered, over fried, awful frozen seafood. 1 main course served was completely the wrong dish ordered, the other an old soggy piece of sword fish. Burnt sweet potato fries that should never got to the table were sent back. This place is a disaster... Avoid!

A wonderful meal, the staff were welcomming and the food was fantastic. They did a huge variety of food, and were able to cater to me being lactose intolerant for all of the dishes. All the food was freshly made. Lovely!

What a little gem of an Italian. We managed to book on the day, although I’d recommend booking in advance as the restaurant is very small. The menu is extensive; something for everyone, including a good selection of wines/drinks. I genuinely couldn’t decide what to have, all of the dishes coming out from the kitchen looked delicious. Just gives me an excuse to go back and try something else. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. They made a big effort to make everyone feel welcome. We had starters and mains, deciding against dessert, as we were super full and there wasn’t that option (for us) that convinced us to do so. I have several favourite Italian restaurants in Birmingham and surrounding areas, but I do think Fuso has taken the top spot! Will definitely return’

We attended a surprise 50th over the weekend where our party had the top floor. The service we had was flawless and the food just amazing. We had the salmon and swordfish. Well done to the kitchen!! I would really recommend this restaurant.

We came in force with four adults and two children in pushchairs, requiring high chairs. Matthew and the team went above and beyond to accommodate us, ensuring we had plenty of space. We’d eaten here before but returned to try the roasts as we’d heard they were the ‘best in Bromsgrove’. It didn’t disappoint - Beef cooked to perfection, all the accompaniments you’d hope for, excellent service and reasonably priced. Will be returning very soon!

Absolutely fabulous! First time visit so had no idea what to expect. First impressions: quaint and authentic modern setting; menu = fabulous - dishes on there I hadn’t seen on other menus and already started planning a 2nd visit before we’d ordered! Food =superb. Tasty and filling. Service =first class; helpful & chatty without being intrusive. Will we be back? 100% yes.

Delicious food and good wine, over all very good

Fondue is 10/10, we've had it 3 times now and always amazing. The team are great and pizzas are always perfect.

Love, love, love this restaurant. The food is always amazing, every time I come. Their cheese fondue is my go to and would suggest it to everyone. When we came without booking, staff would always try their best to accommodate us as soon as they can. Staff is also very polite, hardworking and welcoming. So helpful. Only praise here. The kitchen staff seems great as well. Love it. Keep it up guys.

Nice pasta dishes , excellent food

The boss here is one of the most insufferable people I've had the misfortune of coming across. He's the bald looking chap with the glasses and beard. What a rude bloke,if you hate your job then get a new one. He used to work next door at the ascott,I'd go there for a drink over this place any day. He needs to learn some manners

Went to Fuso to try the Sunday roast as I had heard good reports about them I had the beef, a few others had chicken and my son had lobster. Every dish was fantastic, probably the best Sunday lunch I have eaten out at a restaurant ever, absolutely delicious.

Me and my friends came to visit yesterday for my birthday , we didn’t book a table as it was a last min find in that area as we were local but we managed to get a table. I ordered a KING PRAWN starter for £7.50, it arrived in a tomato bolognaise sauce and I received 4 average sized prawns, not king as advertised in fact the whole dish didn’t taste how it was advertised I knew straight away I was sending that back because as I’m not looking on other peoples photos on these reviews I see they have received a great portion and mine only looked full when asking to send it back, for that price it’s ridiculous, no seasoning I can’t even begin to tell you how long I was sitting there adding salt and pepper so I could at least try and enjoy it , seafood needs seasoning otherwise it just tastes like plain prawns and rubber. I had the piccante pasta which I order everywhere I go, again no flavour, when you cook creamy pasta you do NEED to add extra seasonings otherwise it just tastes like cream… which is exactly what my chicken pasta with chilli and tomatoes tasted like , cream. My friends ordered the mushroom bruschetta which was SUPPOSED to come with a blue cheese and it didn’t and the bread was hard. Not happy with the food or service after forgetting my order , the food for the price isn’t worth it , nice very small restaurant/room , staff were good, the lady who served us was very apologetic. For someone who loves Italian food its a let down , drinks were decent but wouldn’t be seeing me again its not value for money. Add more filling to the meals then maybe.

We booked last minute for dinner on a Friday eve and luckily they could fit us in. The service was excellent, as was the choice of food. The specials board was extensive. I had the prawns to start which were delicious, carbonara for main which was tasty but a bit too creamy for my liking, other than that we had a fantastic experience and would definitely return if we are ever in the area again.

Delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere

A well thought out restaurant which is sending out delicious food. Sadly I ordered the wrong dish, which is 100% on me, but it was still tasty and the dough was cooked well, with lovely taste bud watering tomato sauce. A bit expensive, but will go back occasionally but to dine in, see how the experience is. I took out, but when I walked in it was odd to not know where to go and I stood there for a bit before someone spoke to me. Food wasn't on the time given but that's all good as I was offered a drink which I declined, whilst I waited. I'd like to try eating in next time.

Tiny little Italian restaurant. Great food, particularly the pizza. Reasonably priced. Usually have specials. Had a really nice risotto, which can be hard to find these days! Friendly service. Little cramped due to size of venue, but gives it extra atmosphere! Limited street parking, but you may need to walk a little way.

Had a fabulous evening at Fuso. The staff were very friendly and on board without being over bearing. I had the duck liver pâté to start which was smooth and incredibly tasty. For mains I opted for the cod loin served in sautéed potatoes and chorizo. The fish was impeccably cooked and fell sort with just the slightest touch of the fork. My wife and daughter had the pizzas and both were very happy and incredibly satisfied. Drinks wise my family enjoyed the mocktails and I had a couple of pints of the excellent meantime beer. We were seated downstairs which was very nice as you get to smell the delights coming from the kitchen and the music level was just right so we not shouting to be heard. I should point out to future guests there is plenty of free parking down by the train station.

First time here last night and I was so impressed. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The food was gorgeous! The drinks were nice. The decor and atmosphere was brilliant. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely incredible food. There was a large range to choose from, and all the dishes our table ordered were so tasty. The cocktails are fantastic too! Service was brilliant, we were well looked after by Matt and the team. Highly recommend and we will be back very soon!
