Lovely place, great service, no rush and fabulous Sunday lunch with family. Beef and pork delicious as were side dishes and wine. If you want good quality, great service, proper portion sizes and great taste, try this out

Diabolical customer service, ruined a family birthday meal, serve raw chicken and advise that's the way they serve it all the time! Rudest manager eve can't follow cake instructions somehow. We had multiple bookings here and have cancelled them all. Highly don't recommend.

Not a great experience, we waited nearly an hour for starters, we did order breads and olives to munch while waiting for the starters but they never turned up. It was so load in there I’m not sure if it’s the low ceilings or furnishings but we couldn’t hear each talk without raising our voices substantially. Our mains ordered off the specials board 2 of which got sent back due to very dry pasta, considering they were advertised as ‘spiced butter sauce’ there was no sauce or spice of any substance. FairPlay they offered to remake the dish but by that time we’d had enough so we paid the bill and left…

Very disappointing. We have been a few times before and always been very pleased. However something has drastically changed. The waiting staff were slow and inexperienced, and the food was average and not well presented. When we aaked at 10.30 for another drink we were told we could only have a small drink as they had finished serving. We were made to feel uncomfortable asking. A short time later a group of non diners turned up and were served drinks and cocktails. Obviously friends of the staff...Appalling...

Just a note to say thank you for accommodating us for drinks when West Midlands Rail dumped us without warning in Barnt Green and we had an hour to spare while waiting for next train. You were busy, but nevertheless took care over us. Staff were lovely and really helpful. WMR could learn a thing or two from your customer service. Hope to come back at some point and try the food. xx

I’m really sad to see the bad for reviews for this place, especially at a time when it’s been really tough for independent food businesses. Visited for the first time on a busy Saturday night for date night (which is very rare so I had high hopes) and we had the best time! Immediately we were welcomed with smiles, we chose to move tables which was absolutely fine, we were given plenty of time to choose (which we needed as it was so hard because everything looked delicious). Staff were available and attentive, they also looked happy to be there which I think helps. The wait for food was what I would expect and well worth it. I would 100% come again and cannot wait to come back! Also the wine was delicious!

Carbonara was delicious. The garlic bread was a large portion and also tasted great. Had an issue with drinks order, ordered an aperol and soda however was charged for an aperol spritz and when asking about this they said I had to pay for the Prosecco regardless???

A bijou place with plenty of atmosphere if a little loud with high chairs and tables that can be a struggle to get on/off. My salmon was overcooked, but the food was quite tasty, well presented, and service attention to the table was good, but food out of the kitchen was too slow. It's a very expensive wine list here... 🤔

Food and service were very good. Only spoiled by his cold the place was (the gent serving our table explained that the heating was broken and kept switching off)

I do travel quite a bit therefore have experienced a lot of different cultures and cuisines. Had a great experience at Cork&Crust, from the minute we stepped in we were welcomed with warm smile and felt welcome throuought our evening. Was informed that most of the produce are imported from Italy, could feel it by the quality and freshness of the meal. Outstanding service, very very attentive yet were given the space. Very cosy and relaxing atmosphere, great and wide selection of wines and drinks. Well done, thanks for the night!

Not a very nice experience, the service was shocking considering the price's. We asked to move tables this took forever and reluctantly. It took over an hour to get our starters, sides came in the wrong order. The worst irish coffee I've ever had. I will not be recomeding sadly.

Had a really lovely meal Thursday evening- staff were all lovely and cheerful. This is definitely not a fast food experience it’s very Italian in a slow your roll, take your time to relax and enjoy yourselves between courses. Had the best Mussels in a very long time and a lovely Chicken Milanese - wine was expensive but above average for sure. Only problem for us was the high chairs. A bit of a struggle getting on and off them and not the most comfortable eating position. If they had a few “normal” height tables we would be dining there a lot. As it is we will be back to eat outside weather depending of course - but that’s our personal limitations - the style and overall vibe is lovely.

Great impromptu Saturday afternoon lunch & wine in the sun. Sat in the absolute charming setting of Barnt Green is the delightful Cork & Crust restaurant, attentive friendly staff; combined with a great food & wine! Be it in the week or weekend it’s an absolute must for a bite to eat and a glass of wine! This must be our tenth visit and it’s we’ve never been disappointed! If you’re looking for a place just out of the city, accessible by train with rural charm and great food then look no further.

Table booked for 7.00,order taken fairly swiftly but noticed although tables occupied and waiting to dine there were no tables served food.Noticed a few diners talking with staff .Waited until 8.20 for a chicken salad and a pizza,had to enquire about the delay ,just excuses about the booking company.But when food arrived ,honestly Aldi/Lidl price busters ,even pizza express produce better pizza than what I was served - plus the level of sodium in mine would be good during the winter to melt ice around Barnt Green- i could get out of the village to work . Chips(fries) were just disgusting, hard bits of potato left under the pass for an hour too long .Sorry but this isn't the standard expected when people dine out .If you have staffing/ other issues then tell diners ,don't rely on perceived reputation or regular custom. Still charged full price although half the food went into the rubbish bin - or maybe you recycle??

Even with less than half of the tables booked on a Saturday night, they couldn't get our main meals out together, but left 1 of our party of 4 waiting for nearly 10 minutes for her pasta meal. No salmon available (even though the supermarket was still open). Pleasant if slow and difficult service from a nice trainee, who should have been better trained. Pasta and seabass meals okay, but chicken very dry. Wines are very expensive. Cannot recommend.

Went here from a suggestion of a friend. Food was delicious, service was brilliant. Really enjoyed our meal and will be going back soon. I had the lasagne which was scrumptious!

Food was lovely. However, service was poor and tried to charge us twice (x2)for all main meals, on our bill. Claimed accounting error. So instead of 6, they tried to charge us for 12. I encourage everyone when visiting, to check your bill.

The two star's are for the waiting staff who were very nice albeit under the very tight leash of the owner - I had sea food linguine, two of the clams hadn't opened, the muscles were full of grit and one of the prawns was still translucent also the last time they'd had any kind of seasoning they would have been in the sea... And the wine! £41 for a bottle of pinot grigio?? Really.....and with all this, we were packed in like sardines (covid, what's covid??)……. Revisited today 2 years later and the food was great, the wine order was explained in detail before putting it on the bill - and the staff were honest, I will be back so have changed the two star rating to 4 star. A great restaurant is needed here - keep up the good work 👍🏻

Just had a delicious meal in the Cork and Crust. Friendly service, the waiter was very professional and the food was excellent. as to drinks , I had the best Negroni i have ever had . Much improved since the opening. I shall be recommending this restaurant.

Been twice now, both to celebrate occasions and we were all treated amazingly. Let alone the food being wonderful and fair for the price. Have to have the mussels!

Tall tables and stools, not the most comfortable way to dine in my opinion. Inflexible owner and staff that they can't serve half pasta dish for kids so force to have an adult portion.Typical!

Would definitely go again! Struggled to pick what to have for all three courses as everything sounded great. When I finally did pick I wasn't disappointed! Friendly staff and even better food.

Went there with my daughter and her family for Mother's Day, and have TOLD my hubby, that I want to celebrate our big anniversary, there, in a few weeks. Can't recommend it enough !

Fantastic service and great food. They were all brilliant. We went as a family of 8 with two children (4 and 6). The team were absolutely fabulous with the children keeping them entertained by letting them order, meet the chef and peep inside the kitchen which made their experience and our meal so enjoyable and entertaining.

Booked a table of 10 for a special birthday lunch in December. Staff were fantastic. Loved the risotto! Already returned for a different celebration. Great level of service again. 👏

All style and no substance… Very average. We started with a cocktail which was barely drinkable; when we were asked for our opinion on it, I explained that it wasn’t good. The waiter just walked away. Calamari was tasty. Pizza was good Chicken Milanese was OK. I wouldn’t recommend this place, we were disappointed.

What a FABULOUS Italian restaurant. Barnt Green needed this type of restaurant. Offering a nice warm welcoming atmosphere with well trained staff. The menu is excellent and varied. Pricing is exactly what you would expect for the quality. Keep it up guys you will have our custom always.

Had a fab meal with my wife and daughter on Father’s Day, really lovely, wine was great but thought the £9 bottle of Prosecco at £40 was a little too much, but all in all a very enjoyable experience. We will be back!!!

Ok...but definitely room for improvement at the price !! It will be busy as people give "the new place" a try...but I think few will return when there is better elsewhere. Place is brand new to Barnt Green and a welcome addition to a place lacking in eating establishments (The Victoria and Barnt Green Inn is basically the same menu). The venue is very nicely decked out. The outdoor seating and full open frontage will work well in the summer. If you have any COVID concerns then this place may not be for you as it is a small restaurant and tables are packed in with no real separation and limited room for staff to walk between the tables. Food was ok...but some very strange pricing such as the sharing starter platters that are £12-£13 per person when individual starters range from £5-9. Perhaps they are trying to cover visitors who just want a nibble and no main. Still very pricey !! Starters we had bread & olives and Calamari. Bread (Artisan) was dry and tasteless and should have been served warm. The Calamari were cooked well but the lemon was weirdly served on a bed of blue rock salt that looked like crushed up toilet blue. Mains we had Pizza and a couple of steaks. Pizza had loads of cheese but not much spicy sausage topping and left it feeling a little underwhelming. Fillet steak was the real star but the Sirloin was extremely disappointing. It was thin and extremely tiny and was definitely under the quoted weight. Because of the dimensions it was overcooked too. £4 Fries were very tasty but an expensive addition to what is already a pricey dish. £4 side salad....meh. Drinks menu was interesting but again very expensive and that is before you even contemplate trying a bottle of wine. Worst bit about this place is that it is yet another example of a Birmingham restaurant insisting on adding a service charge in the hope you will be too embarrassed to remove it...which, of course, we were :-). Service was ok but staff did lacked the sparkle and menu/drinks knowledge that you would expect from a premium venue. Add to this that the staff (one without a mask) were leaning across us to serve food and repeatedly clattering glasses and then started clearing the table even though a member of the table had not finished. They also did not ask if we wanted table water and then took ages to bring it when we did ask for it. Tipping should be an option reserved to guests who feel that the staff have gone above and beyond. By defaulting on a "service charge" you are encouraging staff to have no real interest in going the extra mile...such a shame considering the industry has had it so tough over the last 14months. This place has got great potential but needs to sort out the issues if it wants to see return visitors. Also if they want to remain a premium priced venue then they need to make sure their food and service reflects the prices !!

Not the place for a quick drink! 5.30pm on beautiful sunny Tuesday, we were just walking by, looked like a place for a quick cool drink. We enquired, the response "sorry we don't only do drinks, we are a restaurant". Luckily there are plenty of other places in Barnt Green for a cool drink without a having to buy food.

We love C&C. It’s so great to have a new place to eat in the village. The food is lovely and the service is brilliant. It will definitely be our new hangout.

Stylishly decorated. Great staff - knowledgeable and attentive. Food I tried average - I would have liked a bigger variety of pizza flavours (eg goats cheese, bolognase pizza). I was shocked by price of bottle of prosecco- £39 and DOC; not even DOCG. I enjoyed it there, but I think it's a bit pricey to entice young families who love pizza to visit regularly, which I had hoped it would. Maybe an offer 4 -6pm for those people?
