Siculo in South Staffordshire

First time visiting and we will definitely be returning. They offer all the staple Italian dishes and some different ones. I tried the lasagna as this is always a good benchmark dish and it was delicious and a very generous size. The tiramisu was excellent, if I was being picky I would say it needed slightly more coffee liqueur but having said that it was by far the best one I have had in a while. I would recommend that you book a table if going at peak times.

Good food (for the most part), pleasant atmosphere, excellent cocktails, pleasant staff. The Lolly Pork starter was superb and the main course Lasagne Di Carne Al Forno was very tasty and great value (£15). If I've one criticism it's that the price of the 'Specials' weren't mentioned and, given I paid £40 for Surf'n'Turf, I have to say I was distinctly underwhelmed: definitely not worth the money and, compared to the other dishes we were served, extremely mediocre taste wise. I should've stuck to the traditionally Italian dishes. Lesson learned. We'll likely be back ... but we'll be asking the price of everything next time!

Went for a family meal. It's a small restaurant with great food, good service and a nice atmosphere. Will go again. We had pizzas and the special of the day day which everyone enjoyed.

I love this little place, food is bursting with flavours, service is friendly. Not the cheapest prices but the standard of food is very good. Finally an Italian that feels authentic and has the bold flavours you would expect. Chefs who actually leave the kitchen to check you like the food feels lovely too. They genuinely appreciate your dining with them.

Some of the tastiest food we have had in a long while! Our first visit to Siculo and can't wait to return. A very warm welcome, excellent service and the food was cooked to perfection... Would highly recommend the Nonna Ciccia and the Sasizza E Patate. As for the puddings... Wow the Tiramisu was exceptional as was the Cannolo!

I have been here quite a few times and every single time is amazing! I have been to some top restaurants in the cities and Siculo tops them all by a mile! The staff couldn’t be more attentive and welcoming, the food is to die for!! And the vibe in there is lovely. This is our favourite place to eat, I am so glad we finally have a local authentic restaurant with unique freshly made food. Thank you Siculo!

Best authentic Italian in the West Midlands. Outstanding service and delicious traditional Sicilian food!

What a lovely Italian restaurant, with fabulous food with such wonderful tastes. We tried the specials and were really impressed... Starter Carabonara Cube: which was a puff pastry cube filled with a carbonara cream finished with Parmesan & bacon. Then the Main specials 1... A whole Seabream white fish, with wild spinach sauted in butter & garlic. lt was great, a super fresh deliciously cooked & seasoned fish, ...definitely the best fish he's had for a long while. (p.s. please note that it is a whole fish, so there are bones inside, but it is easy to remove them). The side order of spicy fries was lovely. My main was the 'Butcher of the Day special...A traditional Bruscluni made of beef & pork stuffed with boiled egg, spinach, ham & mozzarella, served with ...'to die for'- saute potatoes and a pot of cheese sauce. This dish was a credit to the chef .. as fully of wonderful flavours throughout, and a very filling meal. So l just had Italian vanilla and strawberry ice cream as my dessert. My husband had Tiramisu served in a cup, which was also nice... it's his favourite Italian dessert, and he was not disappointed. I would, without question, recommend this restaurant as having a high-quality menu. From the seating area, you can see straight into the kitchen, which is always a good sign. The staff were friendly and professional. It had a lovely, calm, cosy atmosphere ideal for couples or groups. It has a bar and also sells tea and coffee. There is a nice touch of free-standing wine cooler bucket-stands next to the tables. Try it, and you will not be disappointed.

Unfortunately would not return here. No wine by the glass - only bottle. Why ? Starters - I had the king prawns, was OK. My friend Aracini - looked awful and tasted worse. Mains - I had the sausage pasta, came looking like a dogs dinner and was served with spaghetti hoops. Never have I ever been served a pasta dish like this. My friend had the king prawn pasta - which was OK. When we asked our waiter if we could have a garlic bread to share with our mains we was told they don't do garlic breads and no authentic Italian's do. Again, I have never been to an Italian where I couldn't order a garlic bread. Our total bill came to just shy of £90, and we felt robbed. Very disappointing experience.

I’ve been here quite a few times and every time I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I can’t think of a single meal here that I haven’t loved but my absolute favourite is the nonna ciccia (please never remove this item!). Also lovely staff and owners ❤️

The food 🍲 was a very good standard however I found the portion size small. Have they halved the lasagne? The service was exemplary and great to have this in the village.

Everything about this place is magical! It's like a little slice of heaven based in Codsall. We loved the food! It was so yummy! Pasta was cooked to perfection, and the starters were delicious and beautifully presented! Very generous portions! I've ordered a coctail desert that was so beautifully presented, It was a shame to touch it! Stunning. The staff were so lovely. From the front of the house to all the waiters and chefs! We were welcomed with big smiles and such kindness. It was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be coming back to Siculo

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here, we shared a starter, then husband had a pizza and I had duck stuffed with Italian meats and cheese served with red cabbage.....both were absolutely delicious. I'm gluten free and there were plenty of options, they are very well geared up for all allergies and intolerance. Staff were friendly and helpful, the chef came out to see how we were getting on which we thought was a really lovely personal touch, and he was very well informed about food allergies. Overall thoroughly recommended and thank you to everyone for such a super lunch.

Attended last night, and we were extremely surprised that this little gem is tucked away in Codsall. The food was exceptional, service included in this, they are a younger looking team but don’t let that fool you, the service was perfect. Food also to match, absolutely faultless. The sharing starter board was a head turner and there were plenty for the 3 of us to pick at. Decent selection of wines, not an overwhelming list, wine £26 for a bottle and £3.50 for a coke to put into perspective costings. Don’t think this is going to be cheap meal when you get the bill, but we believed it was worth every single penny. Highly recommend if you have had your fix of Fiume, don’t give this place a miss.

Well what a great surprise! Fantastic food with friendly staff. Feels authentic and the fresh pasta is superb with some really unique dishes on the menu. One minor comment, the mixed starter with the rice balls, cheese, crocetta etc needs a dip of some sort.. Something sharp would be ideal! We'll definitely be back to eat the rest of the menu!

Service throughout the meal was friendly and welcoming. Food was tasty and fresh. Could do with a broader wine selection. Will definitely be back. Be careful of last minute dropouts, you will be charged your deposit even if 5 out of 6 of you dine and have 3 course meals.

You will never found better food in the whole UK , this restaurant is the best ever . I love it , the chef is the one of the best in the UK , is an Italian restaurant ( SICILIANO) . Definitely i will come back .

Do not recommend - food was ok, pretty disappointing given the ratings on Google. Cocktails all sickly sweet, plus we were provided with the festive cocktail list only, where all cocktails were £2-3 more expensive than the cocktails on the regular drinks menu - which we only discovered when we asked for the wine list. Last but certainly not least, we paid a £10 per person deposit for a table of 4, one individual was taken unwell at short notice and unable to attend, so although we all ordered mains, sides and drinks, we were denied her £10 deposit off the total bill - in this day and age who does that to a group booking where only one person is unable to attend? We and those we know, certainly won’t be visiting in the future.

Best Italian/Sicilian food in the area! You’ll get amazing service from the front staff, the chefs are amazing too, management is on point and portion sizes are great for the price. I’ve been working here since day one, all staff are treated fairly, all customers are treated like guests, you want something done a certain way and we’ll go above and beyond to accommodate. Not a paid review, this is my genuine opinion! Look at the trip advisor reviews if you don’t believe me! So come visit Siculo and treat yourself. Recommended here by a friend and was not disappointed. Service was friendly and welcoming - due to some dietary requirements we requested slight alterations to our menu choices, which were happily accommodated. Food was lovely (as were the mocktails), and although service was quick we didn't feel at all rushed. A really enjoyable evening, thank you.

Staying in a local hotel we were looking for a local restaurant for an informal tasty meal. We struck the jackpot at Siculo. Our expectations were met in every way. The service was excellent from all the staff. The specials were described with great enthusiasm by our waiter at the start (sorry don’t know his name) and sounded amazing. We decided on pizzas, being a fan of white based pizza I chose the pistacchio. Delicioso! They were very generously sized too, so only room for ice cream for dessert! The pistachio was the best! Thank you to the hard working friendly staff who made us feel so welcome.

Best meal out I have had in ages. Prawn dish was superb. Early doors but place was getting busy and I can see why.

Absolutely amazing authentic Sicilian food, this is the second time we have been and it never fails to impress. The food is of top quality. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and nothing is too much trouble. The establishment is clean and fresh as were the facilities. The cocktails are to die for! Especially the Japanese ice tea. And the tiramisu is the best I’ve ever eaten… and I’ve eaten a lot!!! Can’t wait to return…

First time here. And how lovely it was. The food was excellent, fresh and really well cooked. They had a deal on the Tuesday where you get £10 off per person if each spent £20. We had 3 starters between the 2 of us as we couldn't decide on just 2. My partner had the seafood mix pasta and I had the king prawn risotto so much flavour and taste. This is a hidden gem. Fabulous restaurent, outstanding service, amazing chefs, and wonderful food ....we have visited Siculo 5 times since they have opened and each time we have not been dissapointed, this is now our favourite "go to" restaurent, it can be a little noisy and I know the team are looking at trying to rectify this ...the team are all friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and nothing is to much trouble...the food is tasty, authentic and a great choice on the menu with great specials to choose from ...highly recommend please try it you won't be disappointed..thank you xx

Lovely meal, great service. Possibly the best starter dish I've ever had - highly recommended the scallops with beetroot puree, and the tiramisu was delicious! Great to have a gem like this in the village. We'll be back.

This little restaurant has to be one of the best places to eat for miles! The service from every single member of the team was impeccable and they were all so attentive. I had the prawn main which was truly the best prawn dish I’ve eaten anywhere. My wife had the chicken thigh which was equally as good. They serve peroni 0% beer which is one the best going and we finished off with profiteroles and tiramisu which were both incredible. The atmosphere is that of its heritage and it has a very relaxed humble feel to it but the food is 100% high end quality with a traditional feel. This is our 2nd visit and will not be our last. Went for lunch with my partner today and it was absolutely fantastic. Friendly people, authentic Sicilian food and drinks. My partner definitely changed him mind on tomatoes and aubergine today. We'll done Siculo, you doing great. Definitely coming back.

Visited Siculo on a Tuesday night for the first time and we were super impressed. The restaurant is nicely decorated in a Sicilian style and has a comfortable atmosphere if not a tad loud. We took advantage of the Tuesday offer of 2 Pizzas for...

Myself and my partner ate here on a Friday evening. We were welcomed to our table and given the menus. We ordered drinks and then after another 15-20 minutes we ordered our food. We had a starter each, two different kinds of arancini and a main each. The food was tasty, the starters were a little on the small side of I was being critical, but the mains were generous sizes. The staff were friendly and the decor was lovely. It was a little noisy in the restaurant but still a pleasant evening. There was a good choice of drinks to choose from as well as the food menu. We will certainly be back for more delicious food.

A variety of Sicilian dishes and drinks; all served to a high standard. For the price charged, portion sizes could be slightly bigger (especially drinks and sides). On the whole, the staff were welcoming, attentive and attempted to fulfil your requests.

We loved everything: the deep fried pizza dough balls, the cocktails, the Sicilian wine and beer, our mains (swordfish; chicken with mushrooms), and the desserts. Great service, too. Will definitely be back.

Called in for lunch midweek and ordered off the lunch menu - limited choice but they had options I fancied. Had a fabulous meal, really good value for money. Had a basket of bread, the different varieties were amazing. Service was excellent. Slightly lacking in atmosphere but only 3 tables occupied. Will definitely return.

Had bruschetta to start with on what should have been 'chargrilled bread' but it was too soggy from the tomatoes, couldn't finish it. Had a mushrrom risotto but there were more mushrooms than rice and couldn't finish it, however on saying this, the food tasted really nice. My husbands starter and main were very nice and well prepared. Service would have been a 5 but no one checked on us when eating our mains. Atmosphere felt nice and relaxed. Would go again and have already recommended to friends. 😊

I might say , a Sicilian Restaurant called my attention immediately considering that I'm Sicilian myself. So I decided to drive to Codsall with very high expectations . Incredibly cosy and quiet cute interior when we entered and we immediately were welcomed to our seats....

Disappointing. We were looking forward to our visit to Siculo but it failed to meet our expectations. The restaurant was busy but noisy making it difficult to hear the conversation from across the table. The spaghetti dish with vegetables at an additional cost, was tasty but the vegetables basically comprised three slices of courgette! The gelato dessert was full of ice and nothing like those experienced in Italy. We asked for some tap water for the table but were told that they only had two water jugs so couldn’t leave one, really!!

Just had an amazing meal at Siculo! Stumbled on this little gem by accident but can thoroughly recommend! Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Will be returning very soon

First visit to Siculo. Our waitress was absolutely fabulous - enthusiastic about the food on offer and a great knowledge of the specials on offer without having to refer to a handwritten note. Very impressive. Oh - and she's a golfer as well, so all good! The food is good - hot and tasty with some items not usually seen in this type of restaurant. Possibly a little pricey - a meal for 4 nearly £200 but that did include about £60 of drink. I'm sure we'll be back.

A lovely new addition to Codsall. Delicious food and great service. Cocktails to start and end as they have a dessert cocktail menu and they were amazing! We will be returning, very soon.

Amazing food and drink and the service was great. Only downside was it was very loud inside - not from music but from just talking as there are no soft furnishings. Couldn't hear some of the others on my table. Didn't even hear the music until later in the evening when most other tables had left! Can't fault anything else though :)

Unique, one of a kind, authentic and truly Sicilian! At siculo not only is the food simply delicious and all freshly made by the very talented chefs, but you also get a very friendly, lively and homely atmosphere created by the staff and the cleverly designed decor. Passion, authenticity and a warm welcome! What a treat to find this gem of a restaurant on our doorstep. We ended up at Siculo quite by chance, invited along by some friends and boy are we glad we accepted!! The completely refurbished interior gives off...

Location - Easy village location, plenty of free parking within walking distance. Service - Waitress was pleasant, the explanation of the “specials” was interesting and if you don’t eat fish then you won’t be having a special and it was a relief for the waitress that we didn’t have any dietary requirements or allergies! Atmosphere - The restaurant is very small, cramped and noisy. We were sat on a table by the door so as people were coming in they were literally stood over our food! The decor has been cheaply done with ikea style tables and school canteen chairs. Cost - Starters were a little pricey, main courses average around £15 for a pasta dish and the wine and cocktails about £10 each. Cleanliness - Restaurant has a 5 star hygiene rating. The cutlery, glassware and crockery were laid clean. Food - The starter platter was large enough for two people and enjoyable. The lasagne was a large portion but very little meat inside and mostly just cheese! The Italian sausage pasta was served up looking like leftovers and more likened to brains on a plate mixed with spaghetti hoops! This was refunded to us. The wine on the menu had no explanation of the taste so it was literally just guessing. The waiter didn’t have a clue about the wine either when I asked him. Overall this was disappointing and the food was only OK. Probably wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend it. I didn’t leave feeling we’d spent money on great food and it didn’t stand out for me offering anything unique - it was just very basic and unsophisticated.

A high quality authentic Sicilian food restaurant, complete with service with a smile, the girls have visited a number of times now and are indeed booked in again Friday for more fabulous cocktails and treats……

The food was lively, staff polite and attentive. The chef even came out to talk to customers. Tiramisu cocktail dessert was a lovely end to the meal which we both really enjoyed.
