This was my fourth visit to The Chef’s Table at Feasted and it never fails to amaze and impress. The dishes are so unique comprising of inventive combinations of ingredients and challenge your usual perceptions of food and flavour profiles. The stories behind each dish are local to the area and add an extra creative layer to the experience. Each dish is expertly explained by Alex, with a special dish introduced by Millie. We were also privileged to hear an inspiration life story from Ben, who shared his journey through personal experiences which have led him to be a nominee for Apprentice of the Year. Our wine pairing was skilfully described by Nicola, who also welcomed us warmly to the evening. Much of the enjoyment was a result of being able to watch each dish being carefully assembled by the team before being served to us on specially crafted ceramics. Meeting new people in the intimate setting adds to the experience where conversation flows and involves sharing thoughts and feelings about each dish. Feasted is not just a restaurant; it is so much more - a creative outlet, adeptly led by Cris Cohen, which celebrates Stoke on Trent and supports young people and the community.

Fantastic! Such incredible flavours, unusual combinations and approach that all just worked incredibly well to give a taste sensation with every dish. I loved the local mythical stories to each course and that its all local seasonal products. A feast for the eyes, taste buds and soul. We loved it and will be returning soon.

We are a family of 6 who have experienced fine dining in spectacular venues across the world. Meeting all together for the first time for 6 years we wanted a memorable experience. One of our number has been a part time dining reviewer in the past. She was made aware of Cris's project by a business associate from Cris's family and decided that Chefs Table was ideal. She was right. Cris escorted us from the car park as one of us has mobility issues. We like the intimacy of the venue. We introduced ourselves to the other 4 diners and Cris explained the philosophy of Feasted. We enjoyed every course and each had our own favourite. Cris explained the inspiration for each course and the connection to the history and potential regeneration of The Potteries and the local sourcing of the food. We learned of the educational aspects of the business with local colleges and the encouragement of young peoples hands on inolvement in the kitchen and hospitality in general as we watched them prepare and serve our food which was delicious. It was heartwarming to listen as one of the young people explained to everyone how and why he had got involved, how much he enjoyed it and what his hopes and plans for the future were. This is so much more than eating out. The juxtaposition of the meal at the former Spode factory and the desire for regeneration of Stoke on Trent (a city neglected by Governments) demonstrated through fine dining struck a chord as 2 of our number are now retired nearby in the Staffordshire Moorlands. This is something different and you should give it a try. If Cris is successful in expanding with a conventional restaurant nearby we will try to visit together again.

Recommended for quality dishes of outstanding thought, taste and cocktail pairings although the white’natural’ wine was not to my liking. The chef and staff were extremely pleasant and their back stories were good to hear Well deserved success I look forward to going again either Chefs Table or ‘Stock’

One of the best fine dining experiences of my life! Intimate, informal, and friendly; plus superb, well-thought out, creative, local food. I went with my husband and everyone (8 of us in total on this occasion) was seated around a big table next to where the food is being prepared. We were soon chatting with the other guests and there was great atmosphere. I would 100 % recommend this dining experience and definitely intend to return.

What an experience! Wonderful hospitality, wonderful food, wonderful ethos - I definitely recommend a visit. Chefs Table is gastronomy at its best served around what could be your kitchen table with friends and family. The chefs team interact in a lovely way with the guests and the guests feel comfortable enough to mix with each other. But the food….well, I never knew a carrot could be so appealing! What a superb place, with a big heart. Sit with the chefs and watch them prepare all the deliciousness that will come your way. The young chefs are each on their own learning path with support from the very knowledgeable Alex and inspirational Cris. Atmosphere is very inclusive, relaxing and complete transparency about the food, its inspiration, components and seasonality. Exceptional. We will be back.

A veritable cornucopia of culinary delights expertly prepared by amazing staff. Chef's table is a truly unique experience. Having dined at some of the countries finest restaurants, I recommend this experience to all gastro fans. Our menu was called 'Lick'. Each dish is diligently linked to the stories of our local heritage. Each course is introduced with explanations of the ingredients, the thought processes and inspiration behind them. The chefs here expertly create everything from scratch including delightful surprises such as mushroom marmite, grain caviar and edible candles. The winner for us was the massive flavour behind dishes created from humble ingredients. I've never experienced food that has so much thought, effort and provenance and of course flavour to the max. We can't wait to try the next menu. Every town should have one.

Wasn't a fan of the food as it was overpriced and pretty poor quality, the overall atmosphere was very oppressive and it felt like they were rushing us though. The service was poor also

Just a really lovely lovely time. A really intimate setting in an historic building. Alex talked us through all dishes with a huge nod to the local area and keira helped us with wine and drinks. The team today included 5 people - one of which was on work experience and one being an apprentice. I'm sorry I didn't catch her name, but one of the girls had also come to join the team through that route. Alex and the company generally are clearly incredibly focused on supporting local young people to pursue their passion in cooking and it's absolutely lovely to witness. The coaching and encouragement on show today was amazing to see. Then there's the food. Unusual, locally sourced, personally foraged, imaginative and above all else deliciously tasty. The menu was fabulous. My personal favourite was the curry amino trail, but my hubs was the oatcake taco. All 6 of us have regularly visited Michelin star restaurants and we all thought that the food was absolutely up there with what you would expect at that level. Just super yum! The environment was comfortable, relaxed, friendly, warm and just a really enjoyable place to be. The team are excellent here, humble, passionate, and eager to share their story. We are already arranging our next visit - can't wait! Thanks for a great day Feasted team, loved it!

Feasted was AMAZING! Limited to 10 people, enjoy this amazing set menu in the company of the chefs in a warm, welcoming environment. As a Stokie, the menu was a reflection of the history of Stoke with some incredible twists. The oatcake ice cream was to die for and try the wine! We had a local wine and it was divine. Wow! What a wonderfully special and unique experience at the Chef's table last night. Passion and attention to detail exudes from each and every member of the Feasted team, whilst they interact with the table and explain the food and drink. Incredible food and wine was served in an amazing atmosphere, shared with a table of strangers that became perfect companions, which only added to the experience. WOW! What an experience! Chris is an inspiration and has an incredible team of chefs from trainees to apprentices and he has taught them well! Such a creative menu and such flavours, we loved the concept and the food and the wine flight ( a must!) and the idea of 10 people sitting round a table in a kitchen! Chris joined us and we all swopped ideas and stories but the story is Chris Cohen and what he is trying to do in Stoke on Trent and he deserves every success! Can’t wait til the new menu in March and Stock opening in Newcastle under Lyme!

This is for when you're looking for a special kind of meal. It's locally inspired and delicious cuisine, in a communal type setting - guests at one table, chefs working next to us. A very enjoyable evening all round.
