The best restaurants in South East

Good variety of dishes on offer; the starter Caprese Salad was big enough for two to share. The staff are super nice and the food always good. I chose the Sunday roast which was lamb and cleared my plate! The sea bass, halibut and liver are all recommended too.

First time here, Brilliant food, huge portions, nice beer and great service, Will be back for sure. Shows sports in the bar side .

Such a hidden gem, food was delicious, really good value and there’s a nhs discount. Very attentive and lovely owner who was incredibly humble, courteous and good at what he does. Heartily recommend a visit!

It might look like a cafe on the outside (if you can find it), but there’s a proper restaurant with a proper kitchen on the inside. A small but varied menu, good portions and tasty. The chef was out among the guests, taking orders and asking if all ok. Well placed confidence. We would definitely return.

The staff always seem so happy and friendly, and the food is always stunning. Lived in Barry all my life and only tried the deli last month for the first time, I've been back about 5 times now.

We came here for my birthday lunch and were blown away by the quality of food, friendly staff, price and overall feel of the place. We did the lunch deal and we were so impressed with how much you got for the price. Our server was so lovely and attentive, and made me feel really special on my birthday. It has the feel of much more expensive Japanese restaurants in London and is a real asset to Oxted. Cannot recommend this place more and we're already planning when we'll be coming back!

Disgusting. Worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Lamb tikka stands out as the absolute worst- three small tiny pieces of cold meat covered in an awful cold thick paste. Awful. Avoid!

This place is excellent for entertainment and traditional Greek Food. John the owner always amazes us for the acts he books in this venue and then the traditional meze John serves up is unbelievable. This place is local to us and well supported on its special nights and also on its take away food evenings .

What a brilliant, novel and friendly little place to come for a coffee and a bite to eat. The model train and track running around the edge of the cafe kept my little one very happy and entertained the whole time especially when our order came out on the train. Great food too. Realmente excelente primera visita aquí (Surrey Street). Tomé algo de comer antes de ir a casa y comí la mejor ensalada. Nunca. Casi nunca pido ensalada porque es aburrido, pero hoy puede que haya recobrado el sentido. Me encantó el servicio amable de todo el personal y estoy muy emocionado de volver. Avoid! I honestly can't understand how this place has the good reviews it does I'd seriously question who wrote them or if we just got unlucky. We were greated by the most miserable waitress not the best start, ordered 2 teas and 2 toasties 31 pounds? That's fine if the food is good and of a decent quality but it's not.Oily and trying to be something it's not is the best way to put it. Definitely far better places to go.
