This cafe tucked away in West Molesey, boasts the best freshly cooked most reasonably priced breakfast I’ve eaten in the area. Clean and simple and friendly, helpful staff, always ready for a chat. I took my 84 year old mother for egg and chips which she loved as they were not greasy and she is a very fussy lady. I always go wth my husband for a treat. Its the best kept secret in town! Easy to park near by in a car, accessible by bus 411. A bit of a walk from the Walton Road, but worth working up an appetite for on any walk in this area offering the Thames Path and the River Mole and it’s surroundings. Looking forward to my next breakfast there soon!

The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings are always fresh and flavorful. I especially love the pepperoni and Mediterranean pizza. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating.

Love Greek food anyway, and it's always a treat to have food cooked for me. I love the way food is served here. The service is great and staff always friendly. Food was delicious as usual. I had halloumi popcorn which is fantastic, so sweet with the honey, just yum. Then I had falafel gyros/souvlaki which are my favourite. And bougatsa to finish. Well worth the calories. Just fabulous.

I am constantly impressed by how good the food is here. They really do punch above their weight! Took my mother here for Sunday lunch recently, Ella, our waitress, was lovely - welcoming, friendly and attentive but not overly-so, she got the balance just right. The chargrilled chicken and lamb souvlaki starter I had was absolutely delicious. And the perfect sized portion for a starter. I wouldn't normally choose a Sunday roast (which is why we like Ego, they have a full A La Carte menu available even on a Sunday lunch time) but I opted for the prime roast rump of beef this time and it was absolutely delicious. Beautifully pink and plenty of it. The vegetables were done exactly as I like them, just slightly al dente, and the red cabbage was a stand out. If you like your beef well done and your vegetables boiled and mushy, this probably isn't the place for you. My wife chose the Moroccan Lamb which, having tried it, I can confirm was also excellent. We'll be back soon I'm sure.

This is not a great review. Sit back, read and you will see why.. Our son moved into Uni on 14th Aug 2024, after getting stuff into his room we walked into Brighton. We came across IL Bistro, liked the menu and walked in. Was nicely greeted and shown to a table. The restaurant was empty, and we (4) were the only people here. Our waitress took our drinks order and gave us and poured us bottled mineral water, we asked and ordered tap water. Coffees arrived. My son asked for a caramel latte, i asked for a cafe creme. My son received my sugar and my other son and wife have an issue with cows milk so not great when they took sips and realised they their coffees were mixed up, minor, i had to flag this up with them. Our sons steaks arrived. Cooked ok one was over cooked, their hash browns over cooked so i was like having two massive crisps on their plate. Our sons were so hungry and the waitress didn't check on us so they just ate it. We asked for two vegetarian breakfasts, both with poached eggs. They got this wrong and fried eggs arrived on our plates, my wife flagged this to them, i was okay with the fried egg, and i was busy buttering my toast took a bit of the toast and the waitress whipped my plate away to correct this and i wish they didn't as when it returned i have never seen the size poached egg that was on my plate, yoke was over cooked, too much vinegar used and was probably the size of a 10 pence! Even the cheap small supermarket eggs are bigger than this. The waitress should have left our plates and arranged for poached eggs to be brought to our table.. There seemed to be no checking from the team on what we ordered to what was delivered. Most of the time the waiting staff were chatting amougst themselves and we had to get up from our table and walk to where they were to ask them to fix their errors. Be more attentive to your customers! Apart from us, the restaurant was empty! We asked for the bill and waited so long we all got up and walked to where they were playing on their phones! They added their optional service charge, which i asked them to remove. We shoud of went to the smaller place that was diagonally opposite this restaurant. There was an award on display, not sure what this was for, most slack resturant in Brighton?

Visited Mezzah House this weekend with a group of 5 on Saturday evening. The meal was beautiful, flavours and quality were amazing, first time trying lebanese food and we were all very impressed. In the group we tried the mezzah special and the mixed grill, all came to table in a timely manner. Service at the restaurant was impecable, polite and enthsiastic people working there. Thank you for a great experience and evening.
