I love this place because on Friday there’s a lot of latinos because the latin music

This is a chilled out bar. Very narrow in build, but the decor makes it all work. It is very different from your standard bar, there are a good range of cocktails available and they taste pretty good. Do be weary, once it does get busy, there is only one toilet so you may have to be patient from time to time. Other than that, it's a great spot. They make my personalised cocktail for me with no trouble. Kudos 👌🏾

Amazing drinks and always friendly staff . Wonderful place to socialise with different cultures and people…. Even when you don’t know someone always someone will talk to you without being rude and annoying.

Security is aggressive and rude! The guy should learn a bit of good manners. I won't go back anymore where they offer low quality alcohol!

It’s a very first bar I’d visited when I’ve been in the U.K. 🇹🇭✈️🇬🇧 and lived around Cowley Road for almost 1 year 🏠, it’s good to experience some good Moroccan vibes bar, the staffs are friendly and treat me properly. The bouncer has a good sense of humor and remember me as well, it’s always good every time I go to this place for a little drink and chill out at night. Good bar, good vibe 😃

Really nice place with lots of seating out the back with heaters if it gets cold. Cocktails were really cheap and tasty, prices did vary a little bit when at the bar. All the staff were lovely and brought drinks to the table if needed.

Awful place ..toilets awful and swimming with urine ..only one ladies toilet..for the whole bar which was packed ..the mens toilet also flooded with urine ..again only one toilet for the whole pub . Drinks not good and watered down ...rude bar staff ..security blokes all friends with students and passing around weed ..never again..

My friend wanted to gain admittance to this establishment on the night of 11/02/2023. He was denied entry by the two doormen due to his attire. Despite this, they let numerous patrons with equally unimpressive attire into the club after he attempted to enter. One of your doormen then threatened to call the police as he gently put his hand on his shoulder to try and converse about the issue at hand. My friend was as frustrated as expected. As such, I tried to speak with the doormen in a calm manner and tried to negotiate my friend’s entrance into the establishment. I repeatedly asked a very simple yes or no question of the doormen (‘Was my friend not allowed in because of his attire’). For some strange reason, neither doorman could provide a response to this question and furiously said they were ‘Talking to him’ (my friend) and told me to go away essentially. I will be the first to admit that being a doorman is a stressful job. I couldn’t do this job. However, I will say that the way my friend and I were spoken to by your doormen today was just not appropriate. Threatening to call the police over a tap on the shoulder and a conversation is just insane. This incident had a significant impact on what was an otherwise perfect evening. I would advise you to install some discipline into your doormen as this was an entirely avoidable escalation of a situation that should never have happened anyway. The worst part of all this is it was only my friend that was planning to enter the establishment. The treatment he received from your doormen was so abysmal though that I felt compelled to step in. I hold out hope that my next experience with your establishment will be better. There is enough anger and hate in the world without adding to it needlessly.

The drinks are reasonably priced. It would look like security is aggressive but I like that it’s tight. The DJ was lit!!!!! I wish I knew his name. The ambience is so beautiful as well

He wouldn’t even let us in, we have a booking and we are late for 15min. He is Arrrogant, even tried to call the place but no one picked the call.

Actually the worst Long Island iced tea I’ve ever had and I’m an alcoholic. A quarter of it was lime juice for some reason and was horrific. Overpriced for an absolute dire drink, avoid at all costs

Visited about a month ago when it was busy busy. Hadn’t booked but waitresses were amazing and very accommodating. Sangria was great and the food was superb. Defo the place to go for Tapas and Vibes in Oxford !!

the place is grate but sadly some of the staff are extremely sexist and make the worst comments to customers that should simply never be forgiven

Everybody loves baba. It such a good place to socialise with a small group of close friends. With nice cocktails, friendly bar staff and a nice garden. Everybody is happy.

Very good ambience, drinks at reasonable price and the staffs are very friendly, especially the security guard. He is the best in the world, whoever says the security guard is arrogant, mind you he is doing his duty of letting limited people in when the bar is full. P.S everything is amazing at this place, has been my rendezvous to hang out

Worst security guys ever. Wouldn't recommend this place The security guys are too aggressive and din let my friends enter and made us wait for 40 minutes and told that they can't let us inside. Really spoiling the mood they deserve less than a star because of the security guards

I had the worst experience ever there! The security were extremely rude and aggressive!! I went out to get some fresh air & when I tried to get back in to just get my coat & bag and say bye to my friends, the security guy refused to let me in and he yelled at me. I have never seen any place treat their customers this way. I highly don’t recommend this place!

Tried to visit this evening. You need to sort out your security. We were a 40 year old sober couple and your coked up door staff were on power trip being all intimidating for no reason. Worst attiude ive ever seen. We decided not to go in and wont come back

One of my favourite places to go in Oxford. There's always a great atmosphere there, created by great staff, music and cheap drinks. I don't think I've ever had a night at Café baba that I haven't enjoyed.

Me and my girlfriends "returned" to Cafe Baba on a University reunion, 20 years after starting our courses. The drinks were incredibly reasonably priced, the bar staff were fun and friendly, and despite our desperate old age, we were made to feel very welcome, and like we were still the sprightly, care-free teenagers we had been last time we had visited! Thanks for that, Cafe Baba - hugely appreciated!

This bar is a real gem in Oxford. Fantastically priced drinks that are delicious and fantastically priced tapas that are also delicious! The owner, Marco, is a great host and the service is second to none. Lovely little garden, which is covered & heated, so usable in summer and winter. You can spend a brilliant night here both eating and drinking for a fraction of the price of other cocktail bars.

Cocktails only £3 at happy hour before 8pm but only £4 normally anyway! They have quite a lot of choice and the cocktails are very good. This place always gets lively around 10pm so ideal for a night out or for pre drinks

It's a great place to spend with some friends.

Cheap drinks but the music is horrific, unless you like your ears to bleed in which case, it's great. The DJ seems to think it's a novel idea to flit between Turkish dance, Bollywood, Flamenco and then rap in a cultural experience akin to the 8th circle of hell. It's torture.

This place is awesome and diverse. Great bar staff, competent and friendly. Great range of cocktails that are well prepared. The choice of music played is so varied and along with the decor and subdued lighting it suits people from every corner of the globe! 😊

Charming, good service and good atmosphere.

Really nice people but the coctails not that high quality just they are okey and I advice you to visit here on mondays they have all night happy hour. But after 10-11 pm they are closing the terrace. It is so annoying because terrace doors are only air entrance for inside people need little bir air to live sometimes right ? :)

Amazing place with amazing staff! Shame it's too small to gather even more people 😁 My tip: go early to listen to the "trendy" reggaeton tracks and to make sure you get in (should be around 8pm)

One of oxford rarely discovered gems and one of the best places to get cocktails! The vibe of this place lovely and chill. I especially like the seating arrangements, the sofa chairs are Excelent for lounging. And the cocktails are amazing! And incredible variety and at excellent prices. They are well made and taste amazing! Their happy hour is definitely to be taken advantage of! Over all a lovely night and an excellent local business

Genuinely a poor experience, it's very cramped and feels like a living room covered in fancy rugs. Literally everything is covered in rugs..

Nice little place, sometimes extremely crowded, especially during the night, at around 9PM until 1AM. Overall, it's a good place to go with a small group of friends (4-6 people).

We visit this place at least twice a month to get our fix of some amazing cocktails at prices that would not break your wallet (most cocktails for £4) and service that will leave you with a smile. This place can however get really crowded on weekends so better to go early and get a table!
