Cafe Creme in Oxford

Fantastic affordable food. Their toasted baguettes are delicious and the staff are always friendly. (The Moroccan chicken baguette is my favourite)

REALLY great food and service, real low prices too and we were served quickly, so definitely would recommend, only downside is that there are now toilets but honestly, enjoyed sitting outside so much and talking with friends that i didn't mind :)

The location is really good, you can sit outside and watch the stream of people walking by. The cappuccino was awful. There was almost no coffee in it, mostly milk. Disappointed.

You stick to the table. A cloth after each client doesn't hurt. And the regular treatment was bad.

Had latte and my mum had espresso. Really good coffee and loved that I didn't get a weird look when asked for weak coffee.

I would suggest this is a place to be avoided if you’re just visiting Oxford and not a student who gets offered a 20% discount at Cafe Crème!!!!! As a previous reviewer has written the staff at this shop are rude & unhelpful. My experience was quite an upsetting one on a day that was supposed to be enjoyable in Oxford with my husband and dogs. We were slightly restricted as to where we could go for lunch as we had our dogs, so we found a table outside Cafe Crème and I popped in to grab a couple of baguettes and drinks. 30 minutes later still no food and I’d had to try and make my way through an extremely crowded and tiny shop right to the back to get a couple of drinks out of the fridge and then try and make my way back again!!!! Customers place their orders and then have to wait in this cramped and airless shop for ages waiting for their orders which in my case took around 30 minutes. This made me feel extremely claustrophobic and due to my vertigo condition extremely dizzy. During this time the staff were very rude and unhelpful towards me. Finally the first baguette I’d ordered arrived - they have baguettes and wraps on display in the window so I presumed that you just purchased these and away you go but oh no they get toasted (my misunderstanding) downstairs and then eventually brought back up to the long suffering customer - ridiculous system!!). There was no sign of my second baguette so I asked where it was. After another 5 minutes at least another baguette arrives but not the one I’d ordered - this one had chicken in it, I’m a vegetarian and had ordered likewise and I do not eat chicken!!!!! No apologise and I was treated with contempt. I’d had enough by this stage so asked for a refund so one of the rude staff who didn’t utter another word to me got some money out of the till and thrust it into my hand!!!! Unfortunately this whole experience really upset me and actually ended up affecting the rest of our afternoon in Oxford. If it hadn’t been for the kindness of the staff in Theo’s - cafe a few doors up - I would have been even more upset. So if you want to be treated with respect and have a nice experience I’d advise avoiding Cafe Crème and go to Theo’s or somewhere else!!!!

Such lovely people working there, they really brighten your day. Great sandwiches all very reasonably priced, my favourite lunch spot!

Sight seeing in Oxford joined a short queue to buy some take away lunch. Inside was cramped and as queue got longer service seemed to get more disorganised! We had our orders taken and were told to stand to the back which we did. This area soon filled up with others waiting for their orders. After what seemed an age we were called forward to the till with several others. We then stood waiting for our order only to be informed that we hadn’t paid which we knew we had. We knew we had but as no one was being given receipts we couldn’t prove it. The person serving was extremely rude and it was embarrassing in front of a shop full of people and so we left without food. Our recent credit card statement clearly shows our payment to the cafe! Completely spoiled our day!

We came here twice, more than anywhere else in oxford. Super good student discount on everything, and the prices are already very reasonable. I'm so impressed by the dude who was running the place by himself both times. Cappuccino good, mocha also good, flat white was ok. The eggplant sandwich was good and the artichoke sandwich better. The muffins are tasty but I wish they weren't cold.

Guy has no clue how to make iced coffee (mocha), chocolate powder was hard at the bottom in a paper cup for £4.40

I can't recommend these guys enough! Cafe Creme very kindly sponsored us as a student film while shooting in Oxford and gave us the most delicious paninis- their aubergine and falafel were a hit with the vegans on our shoot, and every panini they do is amazing (the chicken pesto is a classic). They're also the friendliest guys ever and went above and beyond for us while filming, so we can't thank them enough. Do check them out if you ever get the chance as you won't regret it. Again, thank you guys!

The man behind the till was trying to serve four people at once. We had to repeat our order at least 3 times, but he kept interrupting us to ask stuff to other customers. He still ended up getting our order wrong and refused to change it, stating he had asked twice and he was sure that he was right. Bad costumer service👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Very best sandwiches! Even when toasted, the sandwiches are still very crispy and tasty. I’d recommend the tomato, chicken and Cajun sandwich!

Only called in for a couple of pies which look good in the window but then are microwaved despite the counter staff claiming they aren't, so a soggy mass is what you are left with . You're better off going to the local Greg's and saving yourself £2 a pie

Escondido en Broad Street en un peculiar edificio del siglo XVIII, Caf Cr me es un café independiente que vende rollos rellenos realmente buenos. Elija uno de la pantalla en la ventana e incluso lo brindarán por usted. Hay una zona de asientos en la parte trasera de la cafetería y asientos adicionales arriba. El personal es amable y eficiente. Los rollos rellenos son bastante grandes, por lo que a menos que tenga mucha hambre, un rollo entre dos es suficiente. Este lugar era tan bueno que volvimos por segunda vez. Recomendado.

We found this cafe by pure accident. But what a happy accident. The staff are great and happy to help. The food we had was nothing shy of amazing and not bad coffee too 😀 limited seating inside if you are disabled as seating continues up and downstairs but they are steep stairs. Possible just on crutches. Even has a toilet for customers. Oxford can be very expensive to eat at. This place makes it possible to eat well and on a budget

I was on a tour with my family and this place was very busy so we thought we should give it a try ! It’s a small shop offering coffee,cakes,panini,and soup . All my family loved what we had and would highly recommended.

Just went for a coffe which was very average and the two people in the bar were utterly unwelcoming. I guess that because they in the centre and the business is secured they can´t be bothered on customer service....

It’s a little cafe on Broad Street opposite Balliol College. The sandwiches are fantastic! Staff are wonderful and helpful too!

Při toulkách po Oxfordu mě nalákala nabídka tzv. jacked potato, tedy velké plněné brambory. Dala jsem si se sýrem, a byla to porce opravdu pro obra. K tomu kafíčko - i když to nebylo nic moc. Každopádně tohle zastavení doporučuji, ať k posezení nebo take-away.

No es broma. Me detuve aquí mientras pasaba por Oxford y, aunque la zona de asientos era un poco, er, lúgubre, y al lugar le vendría bien un poco de brillo (de ahí el 4 estrellas), la comida era deliciosa y el chico que nos servía era agradable . Aunque no me atreví a visitar el baño. . .

We visited here the tables were filthy the service was appalling we ordered food after a long wait for them to get the rolls out of the display cabinet and get a few drinks as well. When it finally turned up they hadn’t taken an order for one of the rolls, so I drank my coffee and walked down the road to Sainsbury’s and bought a meal deal.. if you choose to go good luck you don’t catch something from the dirty tables that is if you get the food you order first....

We had a cheese croissant each, shared a Cornish pasty (all heated and yum) with a large tea and a bottle of Diet Coke. All for £10.50! Can’t fault it and two friendly and pleasant guys served us.

This is a great place for a quick lunch. They have an assortment of sandwiches and sandwich like things, desserts, and good drinks. I had the chicken caesar sandwich and it was marvelous. Highly recommend.

We had some ice creams and a smoothie. The tables were really dirty; not a very trendy cafe; the smoothie wasn't amazing. The guy from the staff was friendly though.

Found this small cafe on our way to the Bodlean library. What a great surprise, we had the Mexican chicken ciabatta (toasted) The bread is fresh and is a special mix made for them. The very generous fill of Mexican chicken was tender, tasty and was probably the best I’ve had. Wish we could have tried the other varieties such as the Moroccan filling.

Visited this little cafe with my young son on Easter Sat. He had a ham, cheese and tomato ciabatta and I had goats cheese and chutney. Both toasted. And very tasty they were too. It was pretty busy but we got seated easily enough downstairs. Be nice to have some music playing down there to give it a bit of atmosphere and maybe a few pictures on the walls.

Very good sandwich, we had Moroccan chicken, which is tasty and smelly. Recommended by our day tour guide. The Cafe has toilet for customers only as well.

We went there this afternoon, and the brownies looked amazing. Once in the (plastic) plate, the cake had no taste whatsoever. Smoothie was good, but overpriced.
