Really wonderful food and friendly service.

Expensive, but a great array of spanish tapas.. tasty and different. The fried aubergine were delicious. Tucked away in the back street.. it's a popular place so make sure you book.

Only had Tapas in Madrid prior to discovering this little place while walking past. Quiet Saturday afternoon so wasn't busy but the tapas were really good. Washed down with a cold Mahou. Tarta Santiago to finish. Perfect.

Fabulous tapas bar tucked away down a side street in central Guildford. It’s about as close to an authentic Spanish Tapas experience as you’re likely to find in the U.K. Food superb, service excellent and Spanish wine choices perfect. Also family owned which shines through.

Superb choice of dishes freshly cooked and delicious. Service was attentive but not too much. Average cost (£125 for 4 people including a bottle of wine and service charge.) based on 3 dishes per person to share. Enjoyable experience and happy to recommend this restaurant.

Never knew this was here as it's tucked down a little side street then off that side street. Popular place - even at 6pm it was busy. Great food and service and a good bottle of wine. Didn't like the olives though !

Once again Denada did not disappoint, amazing authentic Spanish food with a lovely atmosphere, like being in a little part of Spain! By far the best Espresso martinis in Guildford. Definitely be returning:)

Great tapas restaurant, always great food

Lovely tapas restaurant, tucked away behind Market street, and well worth finding. Attractive atmosphere, attentive friendly service. A good range of tapas dishes; all ours well prepared, tasty and well presented. Our favourite, although all our selection (9 for 4 people) was Chorizo cooked in wine and herbs. Limited but well chosen wine list; our Godello was sound and enjoyable. £150 inc service for four, including a good bottle of wine, 2 puddings and 2 coffees.

Love this tapas bar, great staff very attentive and efficient. Just tucked off Guildford high street. Very varied selection of tapas.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I’ve been here 3 times and it’s been great every time. We ordered the croquettes, artichokes, squid, tomato bruschetta, pork shoulder and meatballs. It was all perfect, can’t even choose my favourite. The ambience is great, pretty and good lighting. Be warned though - it’s very expensive for a small plate of tapas. About £8.50 for four meatballs. You have to spend a lot to actually be full. I’m still peckish while writing this but have run out of money.

The Tapas was very tasty. It was an early celebration of my brother's 70th birthday with family who were over from Australia.

First time here. Absolutely superb. Everything we ordered tasted fantastic. Service was excellent and our waiter was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend coming here as it was brilliant!

We came for a dinner here with friends and had a wonderful experience. The dishes taste authentic and are packed with flavour. I loved the chicken in honey and lemon - I would highly recommend. we had around 3 dishes each and the pricing was very reasonable.

Pretty good. Walked in at 845pm and could hear the chefs complaining loudly when the waiter walked in with my order, i get that you want to wrap up and go home, but maybe don't scream about it, very awkward. Great wine selection. Some geeat dishes were eaten, some bang average dishes were presented. Overall solid 4stars

Lovely authentic tapas hidden in the back streets of the high street. Very romantic, good wine and kind company from the lovely humans that decided to feed us that evening.

We booked a table over the phone the day before but when we arrived they had no booking for us. It was a busy Saturday night so we weren’t able to be seated for another 30 mins, and considering we got there at 9pm, was very late for us. Offered us a seat at the bar which was cramped and extremely unappealing, then never came over until we decided to leave. We had booked this for a special occasion and shaped our evening around this, so we were very disappointed.

Service was good but the food was pretty average. We ordered the battered calamari which was super tough to cut through, and the chicken skewers were really dry - we had to drown them in sauce in order to get some moisture out of them. Croquettes were nice but everything else was either dry or un-flavorful to be honest

Nice place lovely atmosphere but a little pricey £9 for 3 piece of small chicken on a stick. stone cold Spanish omelette which wad the only grumble about the quality of food. Great food but not great value for money.

As we arrived waiter simply said have you booked? Not welcoming! Food good but not outstanding. Atmosphere pleasant with soft lighting. Service really lets it down.

Great atmosphere, food was good but not excellent. Only two people serving which was a struggle on a busy weekend evening. Had to wait 15 mins for our drinks order to be taken, however they were working as hard as they could. Best dish was the chorizo. Would have ordered more food and drinks but couldn’t get the attention of the waiters. Overall 3.5/5.

We went for lunch, the service was good and the food was tasty but at an average of £8.50 per tapas dish we ordered 2.5 dishes per person. Disappointingly the portions were quite small and we left still hungry. Arguably we could have ordered more but it didn't seem like good value. Unfortunately the fire alarm and then burglar alarm was somehow triggered, which went on for some time but that wasn't the staff's fault and didn't do much for our lunch experience.

Quick Tapas family meal before Sixes cricket. Liked the atmosphere and food, and friendly staff. Once all dishes aggregated together feels quite pricey. Maybe a discount for ordering over 10/15 dishes might be an idea. Nice place though.

First time to De Nada, nice small restaurant with a good menu and drinks. Unfortunately a little short staffed when we visited, but still serving well and did not have to wait for orders or food. The food is good, but unfortunately the price for the portion sizes was not great. Small tapas plates costing between £6:50 to £8:50 and this gives your 2 chicken skewers or 4 meat balls. Just over priced considering the portion size

Visited De Nada again after months of not going and it was amazing as I remembered. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Will was attentive, informative and friendly throughout our stay during lunch. We will definitely be returning! Gracias !

Overall it’s 4/5. The food was tasty, they have quite a few options for different tapas. However it’s a bit pricey given they were small dishes; it’s almost the price of a main. It was a bit busy but not completely full; service was a bit slow.

Returned to Denada with friends. Great night with freshly cooked and very tasty food. Tried dishes I haven't had before and each one was delicious. Good atmosphere with plenty of buzz but not too much to ruin your own table conversation. It is not a cheap night but you get what you pay for and I think worth the final bill - £50 per head but that included a good bottle of wine and beers.

was here in September and all good. Returned last week and was not impressed. The ambience and service is good as the excellent tempranillo but the food seems to have gone downhill - luke warm and not much flavour

Food was excellent, service was quick, atmosphere lively but not overpowering. The one drawback was that my friend was enjoying his tapas with the anticipation of enjoying the amaretto ice cream as a dessert later in the evening. I mean, he could not stop talking about this ice cream. However, to our horror, upon receiving the dessert menu we were dismayed to see the amaretto ice cream was no longer present. I think the waiter was also visibly traumatised when she had to tell us it wasn’t available. Please restore this item to the menu so my friend will be happy again

This place is amazing. Intimate restaurant with great atmosphere. And tapas to die for. Careful of the XXX Sangria... you may get legless. Update - still brilliant.

We got the taste for tapas after visiting Barcelona earlier this year and, in my opinion, the food at De Nada is just as good. It's hidden away down an alley just off the High Street and if it wasn't for a sign on the road, you'd never know it was there. I'd seen various reviews that weren't complimentary about the servers but the two guys who waited on us were polite and welcoming. We arrived just after 6pm (pre-theatre dinner) and there were three occupied tables in the compact restaurant so the atmosphere was fairly quiet. The food we ordered arrived in good time and each dish was piping hot. The potatoes in the bravas sauce were deliciously crispy as were the croquettas, the bread and sausage were good but the star of the show were the albondigas - we could've eaten a bucketful rather than the portion of four. We finished with churros and a very fine vanilla ice cream.

Went for lunch with friends and Paulo was amazing. Looked after us and the food was delicious. Can't wait to go back

We went to celebrate a friend's birthday and loved it. Great delicious Tapas and what made it special was the excellent attention from Paulo who looked after us. He was attentive, professional and not intrusive. A perfect lunch and can't wait to go back. A hidden gem for midweek lunch.

“De Nada” is probably quite an apt name for this place. We stumbled on this restaurant on a rainy Saturday and after a quick google of the reviews, headed in expecting a lot. The restaurant is quite small and when full probably does have a good atmosphere. There is a fairly limited wine selection but there is a bar with a swathe of spirits. The food is massively average. The food is served in faux small paella dishes to suggest some authenticity but the food is anything but. The croquitas were ok, but soggy patatas bravas, bland meatballs and fried prawns that had clearly come from a packet (and weren’t fried) were not the crowd pleasers we were expecting. Service was decent at least but at well over 100 quid for 2 glasses of wine and 10 tapas plates, this place certainly won’t be on our go to list. Guildford has a swathe of decent places to eat, this isn’t really one of them.

Has become too expensive, have been a regular, however far too expensive now will not visit again

Absolutely amazing visit to celebrate Father’s Day! We ordered a selection of tapas to share between 6 of us & every single dish was absolute perfection. I also enjoyed a grenadine mocktail, lovely! The staff were friendly & very helpful. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to return.

I'll be completely honest, we went to this restaurant following glowing reviews and we were a little disappointed. I felt that the service we received wasn't amazing and I wasn't overly impressed with the food either. When we arrived, the waiter wasn't very welcoming and told us to choose where we wanted to sit, he brought us menus and told us where to find the specials and then didn't return for a while, when he did we ordered food and drink as we waited long enough that we had already decided our food order. For our whole stay we were not given table water like every other table and the waiter who served us wasn't very polite. It was difficult to get his attention and honestly, he wasnt very approachable, we felt like he wasn't in a very good mood! The food was ok and it did come out very quickly, which was great, but the scallops were cold and the battered squid was a little burnt. Once we had finished eating, the waiter took our plates away, we said we hadn't received a dish to which he responded rudely and abruptly 'oh really, well that's why I said are you done?'... surely they would know!! The kitchen confirmed our dishes were all sent, but when he came back over to confirm the dishes we ordered, there was one that definitely didn't come out, so he organised that. This dish then of course came much later then all our others, but at least he apologised. It wasn't removed from the bill or anything as a good will gesture, which to be honest is something I probably would have done. At this point we also asked if we could order another drink, given we had no water and hadn't been offered another, we thought we would take this opportunity! When the waiter returned with a new drink, he took away my partner's drink which was still a quarter full! Again, we didn't quibble due to how the waiter was being. They offered us a dessert menu and when we decided not to have a dessert they looked annoyed... strange. We didn't even get a thank you and goodbye when we left! I won't be recommending this restaurant with the glowing reviews we had received about it and honestly very unlikely to go back.

What a stunning little place. Hidden away from the central high street. The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing and the selection of food on offer was epic. Definitely try the honey aubergine dish. Would go back again for sure.

As good as ever. Haven’t visited for a while but lunch today with family was as good as could be. Food was plentiful and absolutely delicious every dish - and we had a lot of the menu. Lunch deal was great, and Rioja always lovely. Service excellent and relaxed. 10/10

Had a great dinner with a friend. The food is some of the best in guildford with the black pudding being a standout. Many thanks to our server Will who was so friendly and made great recommendations on what and how much to get which made the whole expeirence easy!

Rude waiter spoiled our meal last night, admittedly we lingered a bit as we were enjoying the food and wine which were both good but we felt rushed and unwelcome. At the end of night when telling us to leave our waiter muttered under his breath that he's told us three times to finish up (he had). We were the last diners and it was at closing time but it was the tone and manner he used. Not exactly the chilled vibe we had hoped for and a real shame. The owner was there and did apologies on the spot but really he shouldn't have too - there was another waiter who was perfectly lovely when he came over to re-cork our wine for us, which in that situation is what you'd expect. We were clearly overstaying but there is a nice and professional way to handle that - so we apologised, left and just wont go back.

A great restaurant hidden away from the hustle and bustle. It is very small so be prepared to sit very close to the next table. Service was very good. Food nice but felt very oily and fried. Authentic Spanish cuisine.

Ok food, all of it fryer to plate sort of affair , not especially authentic at the price , but generally good. Nice setting in a small back yard off Market Street. with a street scene of the bull run at one end of restaurant and a cosy feel . Staff seemed slightly bored by having to serve customers on a bank holiday Monday evening, with their I phones were never out of reach, it left a feeling of being a nuisance rather than a valued customer. Male manager was especially disinterested in customer service, which is a shame for a promising establishment. Maybe he could try a career at McDonalds where that would not matter?

Accessed along a narrow passageway from Market Street itself providing access between Guildford’s High Street and North Street De Nada has all the appearance of an earthy log cabin albeit slightly raised from an adjacent hut marked ‘gratias.’ De Nada is the bizarre Spanish expression...

I have been here quite a few times. It has a lovely atmosphere, delicious food and drink. I particularly enjoyed the steak, aubergine fries and red wine.

Great bijou spot, tucked away, nice selection of tapas plates and wines, not cheap but cool for a secluded date.

Great food but slow service still.

The restaurant is a lovely place, nice decor and atmosphere. The food was mostly good, in particular the patatas bravas and garlic prawns. The tempura prawns were pretty average, and the pibil pork shoulder wasn't slow cooked as expected, but actually a pork shoulder steak. The jug of sangria is very generous. The service was good and minimal, although they didn't mention the specials that they had. Overall a good experience.

Lovely little restaurant. We arrived early when it was quiet, made the most of the delicious specials (baby quid) on offer,, tried a range of dishes like the prawns in chilli & garlic, peppers, chorizo and croquetas. The wine was lovely, great service, and by the time we finished our early sitting, the place was heaving on a Tuesday night. Testament to the quality of the food and service.

Met up with our daughter who is at Uni in Guildford. Great selection of tapas. Will be visiting again.

Went on Valentines Day. Bit more expensive than expected but still not bad. Would recommend the sangria jug, delicious and lots of it. Wouldn’t recommend Spanish crisps. Not really sure what’s Spanish about them but the rest of the meal was lovely.

Simply Great , our good friend Francis met us in the high street on Market St and took us straight to DeNada Tapas about Mid Day , very friendly and polite .Great place we will be back .
