Red.h - Real English Drinks House in Waverley

Don't be put off by the drinks thing. This is a delightful and well-appointed cafe in what I imagine was (and still is) the local Post Office. We were greeted by a cheery lady who asked if we wanted the Post Office or breakfast! Imagine our surprise when she announced that full English is half-price for October weekdays. Well, that made choosing very easy and it was delicious and more than either of us could manage. Good coffee and friendly servers so an all-around 5* from us.

Whilst staying locally for the week found this restaurant by using Trip Advisor and was impressed by what we had read so we thought we would give it a go . Main reason we went was because it is dog friendly and we wanted an evening meal where the fur kid could come . We were not disappointed . Staff extremely friendly and attentive . Some local beers were tasted and subsequently drunk . The food was very tasty . Chicken wings were meaty and flavoursome . Both the lamb shank and lamb kofte mains were excellent. If we were back in the area we would most definitely return .

What a fab place - the food was amazing - I had lamb shank and husband had peri peri chicken. The blue raspberry lagoon cocktail was great and a huge selection of beers / Ales gins and wine . Staff extremely attentive and friendly and all at a good price.

Delicious meal, baked ‘Bert for starters, sea bass and a ravioli main, both wonderful, the team and the restaurant!

Treated to an amazing meal at Red H. Staff were amazing and friendly, and guided us through the menu. The food was excellent. Prawns to start and a delicious lamb shank for my partner and I had baked Camembert to start and sea bass main. The drinks menu contained some amazing real ales, and as I was off driving duties selected Stamper, which was excellent. Great food, great staff in a terrific place.

Had a fab meal here….beautifully cooked sea bass. This is a lively little venue which serves good food and has a good selection of wines, cocktails etc Good, friendly service. Upstairs room is cosy but for anyone taller than me (5’2”) headroom is a bit limited at some of the tables!

We went here because my Dad was the post Master in this building years ago before he retired. Cannot praise the staff enough on how they treated us after realising this was such a special occasion for us. Lovely setting and decor, food was completely scrummy. We will definitely go back to this place again. Excellent service and atmosphere.

The title says it all. This is a very relaxing well-run bar (or as it calls itself an English Drinks House) in Haslemere. All the staff, both behind the bar are genuinely welcoming and friendly, not only to the regulars, but it seems to all comers. Having a range of 'different' ales, and unsure which I would prefer, when I hesitated, I was offered (generous) samples of each from which to choose - all were good, and I thoroughly enjoyed my final selection. Moving from the comfortable sofas where we had our drinks to one of teh booths for our meal, the serving staff there were equally friendly, and we were promptly served. The food is good and honest fare, and well priced, and well cooked and tasty.. I understand the owner is open ing another Red H in nearby Midhurst shortly, and based on our visit to Haslemere establishment deserves it to do well.

Went for the first time for Saturday dinner with friends. Brilliant evening, the service was first class, personal, friendly, but never over stepped the bounds. The food was well presented and the chicken, prawns and Seabass, in particular, were very well liked by my group. This place has a vibrant atmosphere, serves great dishes at a reasonable price and is a joy dine at. My allergy was taken very seriously and well catered for,even providing a superb fresh fruit dessert not on the menu. Mimmo the host is a great character who provides top class and professional service.

Great drinks, knowledgeable staff and friendly atmosphere - thanks to the new Italian chef and Bar Manager, who stop and take the time to talk to you.

This brasserie is now under new management. Finally a breath of fresh air in this gem right in the heart of town. Mimmo runs the kitchen and his dishes are delicious, what I particularly enjoyed was some of his Italian recipes, truly authentic and mind blowing. On a final point I’d like to add that Mimmo is very friendly, welcoming and professional, I highly recommend this place, thank you Mimmo and everyone working at RedH Valentina

Excellent evening meal out at Red.h with their new southern Italian inspired menu. Succulent home made meat balls in rich tomato sauce with garlic sourdough, and Tiramisù to die for. Will be back for more very soon!

A good selection of delicious cocktails, classics as well as fun creations, all beautifully crafted. Redh is a stylish, relaxed and fun venue, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the food is tasty and generously portioned. A fantastic addition to Haslemere!

A small lunch menu, but perfectly executed. A generous welcome from the manager and very dog friendly. Food, service and ambience very good indeed. Clean and tidy, nice design quirks. I cannot wait to return.
