We waited ages at the check in point before anyone acknowledged us. After we were seated we noticed other prospective customers having the same problem. Looking round there were loads of tables piled high with dirty dishes. We should have left then. Finally someone told us we couldn’t have a proper table (not surprised at that as they all needed clearing and cleaning). We were told to sit at the bar by the conveyor belt. The area was quite sticky. We were given our drinks and started to try the food. Lots of similar plates came round. We waited for different plates to arrive, which eventually happened, lots of the same thing. This kept happening so we were there for quite some time waiting to try different plates. We noticed that the conveyor belt was grubby. The plates on the conveyor however all looked clean. We were never approached again to see if we wanted another drink or something else on the menu, or to see if we were ok. The food was alright, but not much filling in the sushi at all. The choice of dishes on the belt were not very varied. We were so disappointed, as we look forward to a meal out. I would like to say that we have eaten at Yo Sushi restaurants before and they have been clean, with interactive happy informative staff and with tasty varied food on the conveyor. We eat sushi a lot, and this restaurant felt like it was offering a substandard variation of sushi. Another diner noticed that the times on some of the dishes were past their expiry time.

Unfortunately had a really poor experience here. Staff weren’t friendly whatsoever, you get charged more by approximately £1 per item for eating in?? Despite not being given any different service whatsoever than if you were to take it away? School dinner type trays, take-away unnecessary plastic packing. You have to pay extra for soy sauce and wasabi…dirty tables, seats all stained with soy sauce, toilets dirty. Certainly won’t be returning here nor any other Wasabi for that matter.

I went for the bottomless menu today. I think I shouldn't have ordered so much sushi. Just too much rice, and it's difficult to finish everything, as we didn't want to waste anything. It's difficult to tell how big the portion is. I think we should have asked more questions before ordering. You only allowed a time slot for ordering, only 6 hot dishes and 6 sushi the first round. I think I will go to a different sushi restaurant next time. The food is ok, but not great...

The store's website said they had discounts, but the store clerk told me without any explanation that they didn't offer discounts, which made me feel uncomfortable. Presentation: 2/5 Taste: 2/5 Service: 1/5 Value: 1/5 Overall: 1.5 Poorly executed franchise with staff who are aware website offers promotions withdrawn several months ago yet don’t raise to management, rather insinuate the website and customer are wrong. Totally obsolete customer service. Would not recommend to anyone.

Went in to pick up some desserts for a few days time as noticed before they have a long shelf life. Hardly any doryaki left but I took the last two. Went to pay to find they only take card payments, but they couldn't their card machines to work! Spent nearly 15 minutes waiting for them totry re-booting, trying contactless and pin options. Eventually looked at taking cash but they had no change. I didn't have the exact money so they tried asking me to buy less or more to fit to a note value! Eventually they found some change. Got my desserts home quickly as I couldn't after being out of the fridge longer than planned, only to find these were previously frozen and have to be used within 4 days of being defrosted. No indication of when defrosted so I cannot use them in a few days as planned. Use by date is only for their use if the item remaina frozen - not sure it is ok to sell pre-packaged food to customers without a use by date? Wasted my time and money; today was enough to put me off going back.

To be perfectly honest, for the price you pay, the food isn’t outstanding. Some of their lovely dishes include the popcorn squid and the mochi, but with the additional £6 service fee (when the food isn’t actually served to you) I believe there are better places to get sushi that are worth your money. That being said, the conveyer belt service is very cool and all of the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

The new cafe round the corner was fully booked (Saturday lunchtime) so we tried here - but wish we hadn't. Ordered two Welsh rarebits, paid and sat a table. After a while someone came over and said they only had one left so we changed the second to a cheese and ham toastie. After an eternity they finally came - the rarebit was flat and just tasted of melted cheese with a bit of ham - no flavour. You would think at Waitrose they would use decent ham but no, the ham in the toastie was just the thin, processed type. We left distinctly underwhelmed and won't go again.

We ordered the breakfast with freshly poached eggs leek and spinach based on an attractive photograph outside. What we got looked like a bowl of dishwasher water with leaves floating in it. The freshly poached eggs were like last nights hard boiled eggs and we didn’t find any leeks. It was edible but dreadful and nothing resembling the photograph. The place was empty and I now know why.
