V Café at the GI in Guildford

I just love everything about this place, the welcoming staff, the quality and range of food (in particular the salads) the environment and convenience. I’ve never had a less than excellent dining experience.

Perfect place to chat with friends and eat tasty food. Varied menu of veggie and vegan options. Lovely atmosphere. Plenty of space. A safe, comfortable space if you’re on your own but equally welcoming for small groups. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Great feel to the building, intimate yet spacious in the cafe. Friendly staff and great vegan food and plenty of gluten free options.

The staff are so friendly and funny, the offering is good and the prices are super competitive. I had the cauliflower and spinach curry with a side of salad (which you can pick from quite an array of bits) and it was great. Really well seasoned, good portions. I’ll definitely come back.

First time here. A "simple" cafe. I had an aubergine parmigiana and enjoyed it. Good friendly staff giving what looks to be decent sized portions. First time in decades in a dedicated vegetarian eatery. I will certainly return when next possible.

Took my son for lunch this week, Thursday, we had a table reserved by the very helpful staff. The food was lovely being veggie it was fab to be able to choose freely from a wide selection to suit all palates and levels of hunger! Prices were very reasonable and the service (its counter service not table) was friendly and efficient. It was great to see so many people who the staff knew by name meaning lots of satisfied returning customers! The food was fantastic, special mentions go to the moussaka and the Thai curry, I had the peanut blondie for dessert and my son had the brownie very VERY good! All in all we loved the place and will definitely be back next time we are in Guildford, I highly recommend you try them out too!

Superb food and service, as always. By a mile the best place to eat at lunchtime in Guildford, and a lovely bit of quiet sanctuary!

Fab lunch! I had vegetable tagine with couscous which was absolutely delicious. My husband had a black bean casserole with salad and again it was delicious - very warming on such a cold and icy day.

We came to Guildford to see a show a.d my daughter had told me about a Vegan cafe. We went looking and found it. What wonderful food, all fresh ingredients. Will definitely be back again. 🙂🙂

Myself and my husband are local vegetarians and have been coming here for years. Recently, we've been bringing some of our meat eating friends who have never heard of this hidden gem and they are always thrilled to discover it! The food is simple, freshly prepared and consistently excellent and Nick and his staff always go above and beyond to make sure you are 100% happy. The seating area is an enormous old fashioned room with an english parlour type charm meaning you have plenty of space to relax! If you fancy a change to the endless generic bland Guildford eateries then take a chance on V cafe - you'll be so glad you did.

After booking a table online, and mentioning a guest with a birthday, we were surprised and delighted to find a special fuss was made. It was so thoughtful and kind. The food was fresh, flavoursome, well presented and really decent sized portions. There was plenty to choose from, and it’s all excellent value for money. Dining area was so bright and clean, and the loos were spotless too. The staff deserve a special mention, being full of smiles. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to Nick, Carl and rest of the team. It was a fabulous Birthday Lunch.

A 4 D Experience. A great combination of very good homestyle cooking, nice staff, a Building with history and a welcoming immersive atmosphere that’s just makes you to want to come back as soon as posiible!

Stopped by today for coffee, lunch and cake, and had a wonderful afternoon. The owners were fabulous, so friendly and accommodating. Service was above and beyond! The whole place had a great atmosphere, and we could there were definitely lots of happy customers all round! Great food options, with a regularly changing selection, everything we tried was super tasty, and the coffee was delicious! Thank you again!

Booked a table - arrived to find the table laid by a sunny window, with a carafe of water and glasses. Five or six choices of affordable main courses and eight salads to choose from! We were tempted by the wine and cheesecake after the most delicious leek and cheddar quiche. All yummy - wish we lived nearer.

Absolutely love it here! Such a cosy and relaxed environment. Love that the menu is always changing and offers a genuine variety for vegans and vegetarians.
