Riverside Fish Bar in Guildford

I tried the chips, that will be the last time, I shall stick to Stoke road chippy, as they were overcooked, crunchy, and a weird white colour, no idea how this is achieved. Don't know why there are queues, maybe people don't drive, and/or all the deliveries taking presidence, over shop customers?

It was my first time visiting here and they were absolutely amazing. They were very accommodating to my diet and very understanding too. All the staff are lovely. The food was very nice and big portions too. I will be visiting again. I highly recommend to everyone. Thank you for an amazing service.

They phoned from Riverside to say Just Eat had no dieivery people and they were stuck but would do everything possible to get our order to us. Admirable in difficult circumstances, They did get it to us and we were very grateful.

My family have been coming to this chips shop for decades.my parents,My nan and great nan loved this shop. I went myself the other day and it's an absolute delight hot chips tasty and stayed hot and warm. Great tasting great value. Will definate become a regular.

This is what was delivered for £11.50 and when I called to say that I wasn’t happy with this. The manager was rude and snappy. They lack customer service. Order from elsewhere

A decent standard of fish and chips, served by a friendly and polite staff. The highlight for me is that you can order on their website, pay via Apple Pay or PayPal then collect in as little as 20 mins. This payment option is so important to those of us who can’t carry cash in our vehicles due to work restrictions. I ordered online and it was ready to pickup the moment I got there. Very impressive and future thinking. Well done!

Lousy customer service today. My error could have easily been seen by your staff. Very disappointing. Also do you realise your shop does not show up under “British” using JustEat search option! Goodness knows how many orders you’ve lost through this! Only by chance I scrolled through every shop currently open tonight and found you open!

Came to the Riverside FishBar on my home to Ash Vale from Guildford.. I got the Munchies so I ordered a Haddock and Battered Sausage and Baked Beans…… Just something to greasily nibble in the car 🫢🫢🫢🫢😉😉 What can i say… That young man that cooked it, Did an excellent job today… It was Delicious… (and it wasnt because of the munchies) It was One of the very Best battered cooked haddock and Battered sausage i have had.. Maybe Top3, deffo Top5,… The Price was a little more than i expected for the Haddock and Battered sausage.. But it is a very very small and minor critique, Because they did it justice in their cooking, everything was absolutely perfect and worth the Price they Charge in my Opinion.. the Service was also Top Notch by the young Lady also, offered me salt and Vinegar option with my munchies…😎😎👌👌👌 Fantastik… It really did feel and taste like a Chippy from the seaSide but in Guildford… I am very happy to be Supporting A Local Bussiness such as yours… You have a wonderful thing going there.. The best fish and chips I’ve had! The seafood platter is amazing and something I’ve never found at any other chippy. The chips are great and are even tasty reheated the next day. Pay attention to the opening times, as it’s not open for lots of hours. But honestly go there and try it if you haven’t already

This is my very first time going here and wow absolutely delicious I had the steakhouse burger it was better than advertised. It was delicious. The chips are fantastic decent size portions definitely gonna go back friendly staff so quick ordering to getting your food I would definitely recommend this place definitely definitely worth a visit. You will not be disappointed

First time have placed an order with OrderYoyo through riverside fish bar. Really didn’t see the point of ordering online as the service was appalling got there the time told to collect meal well 1/2 hour later chicken burger had sat on the side the whole time while waiting for the food to which I refused never got the scampi I ordered. The guy cooking the food very well organised the young lad serving me was clueless wasn’t the sort of job for him under pressure ok eventually got the food ( replaced scampi for fish) burger was cold chips were Luke warm , but fish I was told was good and hot. With deliveroo and other online services to much for a small fish bar

Only issue I had was the 2 zero sugar cans. They sent us 2 full sugar cans, which for a family with 2 diabetics isn't usable.

Curry sauce pot upside down and empty, leaked everywhere. Driver apologised but not really bothered. Pea fritter out of its box and crushed all over the containers.Fish cold and very greasy. Chips good. Curry roll tasteless. I will never, ever order from here again!

Very disappointed 😞 ordered 2 kids meals & a portion of torpedo prawns . When it arrived NO prawns just a note saying off menu ,mum had to go without, why not phone to offer alternative ?? You phoned fast enough before when you thought you had sent too much. Oh and we were still charged for missing item. Just eat say we MAY get a credit note when they have looked into it . Also didn't get £10.70 stamp discount due 😕 😒 so cross .

Brilliant fish and chips. Good portion sizes, freshly made and well drained of fat, then packed in cardboard containers so both the fish and the chips were nice and crisp rather than soggy and stuck to the wrapping paper. Will definitely buy here again.

Greatest fan of the fish and chips, always excellent, but disappointed when we tried the battered prawns and steakhouse special. The batter was too thick and heavy for the prawns, and the burger was impossible to pick up because it was so soggy. Ingredients were good and the chips great, as usual, but all in all a disappointment when we expect such perfection from Riverside.

Always order from here while in the area however just placed an order on just eat and said it had been delivered on the app when it hadn't rang the shop and they just said its 3rd party nothing they can do how you meant to trust these delivery services when this is allowed to happen

Food was cold which is unusual for this place.. riverside are really good but the driver was bad he went down the lido way then Stoke fields and then Stoke road and took extra 5 mins to find my flat.. he was unfriendly and agressive .. just eat u need to sort ur drivers out
