The best restaurants serving Seafood food in South East

We visited on Bank Holiday Friday and were seated straight away and a very polite girl served us. Id googled the restaurant in advance as I am gluten free and had read they have gluten free batter! We both ordered cod & chips, and the selection of sides were great! Fish was lovely, gluten free batter really tasty, as was my partners normal one. Chips really nice and good portions too along with being reasonable. Fab meal will definitely return

Great chips, unfortunately overpriced though. I bought a medium size portion of chips, they were fresh out of the fryer and cooked just the way they should be - nice and crispy on the outside & fluffy on the inside. People were polite but seemed very unprofessional for the ratings it has. They got our drink orders wrong and food took 1 hour even though there was only four groups (a couple, my group of five, and two groups of four) in the restaurant. We were not noted about the delay beforehand or kept up to date of how long food would take and from the look and speaking to the two tables beside me, they weren't impressed either. 2 stars are for the refund as after an hour couldn't wait any longer as we had a ferry to catch so didn't even see our food. For a place that also does takeaway aswell as eat in, it should be quicker. I'd work on that rather chatting to your mates at the bar.

Very nice fish and chips, fresh cooked to order and ingredients are very good! Lovely location and as o hear it from coworkers it’s a locals favourite too. I was there for work but I can recommend

The fish and pasties were good, but the chips were steaming and a bit soggy by the time we opened them 10 minutes after collection. They may have needed opening sooner or cooking longer.

This was our first visit to The Chippy and we weren’t disappointed. At last we’ve found a decent chippy in Maidenhead! After loads of disappointing meals from other places we were recommended The Chippy. Fantastic Haddock and chips! Crispy and delicious, We will be back!!

We always get our fish, chips, nuggets and pies from Echo fish and chips and the customer service is always great as is the food. The best fat chips in Gravesend!

The best fish and chips in Canterbury, cooked to order by friendly lads. Get the cod and haddock and medium chips, add a splash of malt vinegar and salt. Excellent 👌👍

Very good fish and chips. Fresh chips put in the fryer and fish fried to order. We were visiting Lewes and while we were waiting a few locals came in which I took to be a positive endorsement.

I have been using this chippy since i was young! The staff have always been friendly and provided quick service to the best of their ability! Even when they cannot give you your order straight away, they are very appologetic for the wait! The food is not exactly anything to rave about but the variety is great and never had any issues with it! Would definitaly recommend to those in the area!

Banging fish & chips! Beats Palmers in Yeovil and well worth the trek up that killer hill! BIG thanks to the lovely staff too as it wasnt far off closing time and still cooked it up for me. Well needed after a LONG day helping a friend move house! Legends! Will be back next time I am these ways especially as my mate now lives just down the hill!
