This is by far the best fish and chip shop around Herne Bay. The Gluten free fish and Chios are just incredible. Every time we’ve had a delivery it’s been piping hot, crispy and not at all oily. I would highly recommend them

Normally good but tonight not so. The meal smelled like stale oil. Both sausages where overcooked, I gave up the battered sausage as it tasted of burnt stale oil.

food was cold had to reward it which made the food taste stale not at all pleased and hope I never have another like it or that will be my lot from this fish shop. I've been very happy for almost five years but it's a very expensive treat to not enjoy

Just arrived in Herne Bay for a few weeks and didn't fancy cooking so did a google search for gluten-free fish and chips and this one came up, and the reviews seemed good. Glad we took a chance on it as my hubby and I both said it was the best GF fish and chips we've had in a very long time. The batter was amazingly crispy and the chips were properly cooked (not like in some other places recently!). The fish size was generous too. It was good value for the money, promptly served and the service was very friendly. A tip: if you want GF, best to call and order so you don't have to wait around.

Speedy delivery & delicious fish!

Was near Herne Bay for a Speaking Gig and looking for some dinner that is celiac friendly and thanks to other reviews Herne Bay Fish and Chips came up. Hannah was extremely helpful on the phone so I pre-ordered gluten free medium cod and chips and then drove down and ate at the shop. Blooming lovely ! Highly recommend 💞 Wish I'd taken a better photo for you but was too hungry 😆🤣

My only complaint is the prices this is now getting to be a rare treat instead of a fortnightly tradition

I had the best fish and chips I have ever had. I had to check the box to make sure i was eating the gluten free one. Staff super knowledgeable about gluten free. I felt very safe ordering from here as a coeliac.

Updated review after a terrible experience previously, the food is lovely and cooked really well I do still feel the loyalty scheme is unfair being collection only as those who are disable or immobile are losing out despite regular and loyal custom.

Stale chips,no flavour,tough,looked like and tasted like they had been cooked some time ago.

Always fast delivery. The chips weren’t as nice as they have been in the past. Love the fact that they sell half portions of chips, they are still a good size portion though. The sausage in batter was so tasty.

I went in the shop to make my order, but they forget the jumbo sausage. When I called they rectified this by getting the sausage delivered really quickly. Great service and the quality of food was great too, thank you.

I travel 30 minutes to this restaurant as I can’t find anyone that does Fish and Chips like these! Very Polite friendly staff , even after my dog vomited on their pristine floor!

Chicken and a medium cod. Absolutely dry as anything also medium cod was as big as a tea spoon and the chicken was burnt 16 pounds that cost me. Never go there again

Quality as always, never disappoints. Delivery on time but then just eat keeps changing it to suit. Was Saturday eve so was always gonna be busy. Will always go here.

GO ANYWHERE ELSE AND YOU ONLY HAVE YOURSELF TO BLAME. BEST FISH & CHIPS IN EAST KENT. THEY CAN EVEN DO HALLOUMI GRILLED OR BATTERED THAT IS SQUEAKY, SALTY, WHICH GOES TO PROVE THAT ACROSS THEIR WHOLE MENU THEY DELIVER ON QUALITY. Haddock is my favourite fish but other fishes are available and cooked to order.

We're visiting Herne Bay on a weekend break away from Southend. We fancied a chippy tea & thought we'd try here. Brilliant friendly customer service, chatty, helpful & attentive😀. The fish bar was very clean & spacious & the food itself was 'banging👌😋!' Would definitely eat here again & highly recommend!! It was nice to sit in & eat too...Thank you 😊

Most of rhe food was amazing as usual. but was extremely disappointed as I ordered a cornish pasty and got a cheap and nasty corner shop beef and vegetable pasty that looked like it had been microwaved and was as flat as a pancake so we through it away. everything else was exceptional and the best chips and burgers by far in herne bay 😋 would take alot for me to go elsewhere.

fish was nice and just the right amount of chips BUT the savoly was dry and hard and the pie was stone cold and watery the centre of the pie was still chilled like it had come out of the fridge and forgotten to be heated

Lovely fish &chips ..and proper gluten free available! Such a rare treat to have proper fish& chips as a coeliac. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, reassuringly clean premises (we ate in), hefty portions, freshly cooked. Made my day on a visit to Herne Bay.
