The food was really good. Cooked fresh to order, so I can't falt that. Crispy batter and great chips. However, the portion size was a bit small. You'd expect a large Cod and chips to feed two, but the chips weren't quite as expected, especially for the price of £11.80. Overall, though, the food was very good quality

I was recommended to try this place some time back and had eaten there before. I was in the locality again, so I popped in to place an order. It has to be 5 stars. The staff were so attentive and friendly and kept us informed of the timing of my order. I ate the Masala cod and chips in the car rather than wait until I was home. The flavour was amazing and the chips were perfection. This is my new goto fish and chip shop. Highly recommended.

Was the worst fish and chips, horrible and soggy fish and chips were vulgar. I even paid £18 for this bad food. Check the trip advisor as many have reviews this bad chippy

These guys have the best fish and chips ive tried and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and connections they make with the customers. The food there is really good and just looking at the menu made me even more hungry. I hope you give the chippy a try because trust me it is worth it:)

An absolute delight. Was looking for a chippy on the way to the match and found....The Chippy. What a find. The large cod was cooked to perfection and the chips were absolutely delicious - and the curry sauce was light, spicy and wonderful - again freshly made and loads of it. Next time, I'll definitely be giving the Masala Cod a try. Highly recommended.

AWFUL burnt chips - Gave me a upset stomach. Apparantly these chips are triple cooked ( BURNT) . Not worth the money.

So grateful for the Vegan fish and chips available from The Chippy! I’d not been able to enjoy this Friday night tradition for so long before I found The Chippy. The staff are really friendly, I would say that only downside is collections and deliveries do take some time, but they are always busy so it’s not surprising. Would definitely recommend if your veggie/vegan

Very friendly service from staff that are clearly passionate about what they do. I have visited on many occasions and have always enjoyed my conversations with the staff and the food is exceptional. This is much more than just a ‘chippy’ with some great other options such as their burritos, wraps and veggie/vegan options. Always enjoy going back!

Fabulous Gluten Free chippie! Fresh and very tasty gluten free battered cod, not greasy. Even gluten free vinegar for chips. Really good, we'll be back for sure.

I've been here before and wondered if was as good as before. No need to wondered, the fish and chips were as good as before. Thoroughly recommend them.

£3.50 for small chips. Good portion but overdone. £12 minimum for card - I didn’t have cash. So they made an “exception” for me. Even ketchup is paid for. Employee from the back made a comment out loud “nothing is free.” End result I had chips with no sauce of any kind. Customer service could have been better. Will not be back.

This was an awesome place to eat! The food was delicious, the prices were great, and the portions were huge- I definitely recommend getting food here. And as an added benefit they have celiac safe, gluten free food for those who need it (separate fryer and everything).

Check out The Chippy if you haven’t yet!! We are only staying in Maidenhead a few days and today is the second time I’ve stopped for a bite. Last night my husband I ordered Cod and chips plus cheese sticks (all gluten free) for a late night snack—it was delicious, fresh and crispy and way too much food for even two of us. Today I had to go back for the cheese sticks as they are the BEST I’ve had—everything is cooked fresh, right in front of customers. Would love to live here if just for this food! Last night the gentlemen working the counter has said “we don’t have much for gluten free” but then went off to list way more options than I find at most restaurants. I just cant say enough praise for this little gem. Fantastic food, super affordable and such kind service! They get all the stars! Thank you for the great food and service!

Half a cod, supposed to be a large, fish and the chips were re-fried, stale, burnt, cold and greasy. Never again will I order from there. £17 wasted. The shop has replied but compare my photo to their's, this is what I got delivered. You've gone downhill the past year. And them chips were not like they used to be. As I said they were soggy/greasy as seen in photo.

Mr Chippy catered our Centenary event in Bray this weekend. Ash and Jay delivered fish and chips for over 70 people. The fish was crisp and hot and tasted delicious. Lots of the party goers commented on how nice their dinner was. Thank you guys for your part in making it such a successful evening. We will definitely be using you again.

Very good venue for a lunch. Went on Tuesday for pie, chips and drink. Excellent meal and good value for money. The staff were extremely sociable too. I would definitely return.

Went here last night with a friend after our Chinese takeaway never arrived. Was absolutely starving and the food was amazing. Massive portions and really tasty. The service was really friendly and everyone was so nice. Very reasonable prices too, I would 100% recommend this place!

Had a beautiful Cod and Chips cooked fresh while I waited. The owner was pationate about his menu and chatted with all the customers. Had a sample of a deep fried battered Mars bar which to my surprise was delicious. This is how all take aways should be run.

Brilliant for gluten-free and available everyday! Our first time here and we'll definitely be going back - the crispiest gluten-free batter I've had on any fish and chips. The mozzarella bites in gluten free batter were also so tasty

Got take out from this establishment for a quick lunch. The fries were soggy and tasteless, no salt and no ketchup provided. We ate perhaps 1/8 of the food provided only to satisfy our hunger before we gave up. Stay away!!

Had a grand ol time over at The Chippy. The fish and chips were great and I learnt a lot about straws.

Do not come here for quick service. So very very very slow. I’ve never known anything like it!!! So many staff doing so so little.

Good chips. And the only place we could find open at 3pm on an afternoon. Chips and food all cooked to order. Huge portions- we orders 3 chips for 4 of us and still couldn’t finish it off. Curry sauce was a bit runny, but the battered sausage was demolished by the kids.

Travelled to Maidenhead for the day and on the way back we spontaneously decided to pop in and get some lunch. My partner ordered fish tacos which were really good, he really enjoyed them and they were a very generous portion. I ordered the fish and chips lunch deal which was great value and really good and the fish was very fresh. The two men behind the counter were so lovely and gave us plenty of insight into Maidenhead. If you’re in the area definitely check them out!

This place is now our go-to Chippy. Although seemingly expensive, when I checked other local fish and chip shops I saw that the prices were similar....Inflation I guess. Either way, there are so many choices of food and not only fish and chips. They have vegetarian and vegan and I noted that they use a different oil for those dishes. I can only recommend this place to anyone.

Best cod and chips I’ve had in a long while, and catered for gluten free, all chips GF and separate fryer for GF foods, confident and knowledgable where food issues were concerned. Also the staff were sound, had a good banter with them while waiting...

Really good fish and chips from a really friendly shop. Great chunks of fish and tasty chips. My wife loved the masala batter. I stuck with normal! They know their gluten free and everything is cooked separately. So if dietary requirements are a concern, then I really recommend this chippy.

Outstanding chip shop. I can't think of anywhere I've had better. Delicious chips (always crispy but soft inside with a great flavour) and fab fish (try the marsala battered cod or cod tacos!). In fact, everything I've ever had in there has been superb. Well run by a great owner.

We’re not local and we were in the area because we’d walked part of the Thames path and we were starving. Did a quick google to try and find a gf fish and chip shop and found this beauty!! Wish I had a chippy like...

Ordered off deliveroo. I couldn't finish the chips as they were really really greasy and tasted oily. Pretty sure I was delivered cod instead of haddock. Everything had a very strong perfumey smell to it. All the packaging and the drink. The battered sausage was good though.

Great service (friendly, speedy) and love the fries (very generous portion) however the last few times the batter fell right off my fish when digging in… unsure if the batter was too thick or it’s an issue with the fryer. Other than this, great experience and flavour.

I was given a recommendation to visit The Chippy so decided to visit today as had a house full to feed. We ordered boxes of Large chips what got wolfed down in no time and we're absolutely delicious, brilliant method of how they were cooked , texture and flavour were sublime, we also went for the Masala Fish and Gourmet Veggie Burgers which again were soooooo lovely. Great team and fully recommend you visit. 5 Stars !!!!

Really nice fish and chips, but I would have liked a home made sauce.

I was a little hesitant about the fish taco because it was the first time I was trying it. It turned out to be super delicious. The spicy fish was cooked perfectly went well with the sauce and gherkins. Worth the price. Chips were crispy too. I would definitely order this again.

Service is way too slow! Only go if you have 20 mins to wait for your food. Even when you call ahead, it still takes ages! (Sometimes they don’t even bother to pick up the phone!)

The name says it all, it 'is THE' Chippy to visit, ALWAYS greeted with a smile and bubbly personality on the other end of the counter. Now on to the food, consistency is key and they have nailed it here. The chips just how they should, fish to die for almost.
