Perfectly crispy chips, no sog. Thick but not heavy curry sauce and good batter on fish. Can't go wrong.

Iv have been here loads of times and have different things. But today I had batter sausages n chips.the batter sausages n chips was very over done which make the sausages look like they have been cooked about 3 days ago

Nice food, good price, workers a kind and quick with service. The only issue is that it can get quite busy, and that it is cash only. Other than that, it's great, and we go here often, and I would recommend it to anyone who fancies a pretty nice chippy.

We used oh my cod for a private function taking place on a Friday night in littlewick green and we needed 63 fish and chips ready for 9.30. Not only was this achieved, but every portion arrived hot and crispy. The meals, which were medium cod and chips were enjoyed by all of us and there was a discount. Thank-you to the manager and all his staff. Great food! Would definitely use again. Gary Russell

This place is TERRIBLE the food tasted like it was reheated the battered sausages were soft and not a hint of crunch. BUT the staff is the worst. they had so much. she was rude and she scrached her hair and proceeded to serve me without gloves. Never go here

oh my cod more like oh my god. the chips where overcooked and there where black bits in my chips. the batter for my cod was really moist and the fish inside was really dry like it has been sat out there for days. one of the girls was scratching her head and proceeded to handle food without washing her hands.

I was very disappointed today as I got a chips and sausage the chips were undercooked/really pale but the sausage was cold in the middle and the batter was soggy . The staff on the other hand were a bit snappy at me while I was looking for what I wanted (there was no one to serve while I was there ). Would not recommend which is a shame as it’s a quick walk to this chippy

100% the best chippy in maidenhead, they’re all halal food and all of the workers are professional and so kind and helpful. Food is served fresh out the fryer and tastes absolutely amazing. Definitely worth my money, 11/10 id recommend this place to anyone

Oh my Cod is fantastic. Staff are lovely. Whenever I enter the shop I am kindly greeted by Musa, his smile always reassures you that your food is in good hands. Ellie is just fantastic at her job and always puts 100% into everything! Es is lovely and always welcomes you. Now onto the food. It is all fried fresh. This keeps your mind at ease that no food is wasted and you always get the highest of quality. There is nothing worse than a soggy cod! You get the opposite of that here. Warm, Crunchy and DELICIOUS golden batter. Nowhere does better than OMC. The sausages are just delicious. Always cooked to perfection. It gets very busy on Fridays and for good reason. It is the best place around. Be sure to visit!

My company has an office in Maidenhead, I was looking for a walkable location for lunch. It was on National Fish and Chips day (June 2), and was happy to find this little spot, Oh My Cod, nearby. I ordered the small, and it was still a huge portion; a full fried filet of cod, and a very large portion of chips. Everything was delicious – I needed some salt, but that could be just me. Also got their steak pie, which was small and delicious. Their meats are listed as Halal. Including my can of coke, it cost only £14. They were getting phone in orders non-stop while I was there. Seems to be family owned, and the people that work there are extremely friendly. There were locals in there that they knew by name. There are no tables, so take-away only. I'll be going back whenever I'm in the Maidenhead offices.

Great fish & chips, we order from here regularly. Yes there is a bit of a wait but at least you know everything is freshly cooked to order - the reason I haven't put 5 stars is I don't understand why you can't pay by card, especially as prices increase and easily spend over £40 for a family order. It's 2023 get a card machine :-)

My regular place in Cox Green was closed. Oh my Cod was NOT a good replacement. Battered sausages, batter was soft and tough, not a hint of crunch. Chips overcooked. Best thing was the curry sauce.

After making a telephone order at 6.10 turned up 10 mins later as instructed and then took another 30 mins just for 2 pies and chips.....ridiculous

I have eaten fish and chips for a long time now, but have never felt the need to write a review about any fish and chip shops....... Until now. I have just finished THE BEST fish & chip super EVER, from Oh my Cod. THE best battered cod AND the best chips I've ever had from any shop. Next level for sure. Thanks for a delicious dinner guys. I entered the shop. The greasy floors nearly TOOK ME OUT… I was behind an Indian Gentleman and the middle aged lady working (headscarf) took the mick out of his accent… sounded super racist tbh… I ordered my food and she asked if I wanted any mushy peas, or curry sauce. Like no! If I wanted I would’ve asked. She growled at me that it was cash only… seems like a tax fraud scheme. I came back with the cash and had to wait 30 minutes for a simple cod and chips. Food was okay… but not the best. Disappointed to find there were no small crispy chips in my box. The middle aged lady tried to hug a parents random child… bit creepy.

Expensive fish and chips, really good quality.

I've just moved on from Maidenhead after 4 years so I feel compelled to let the people know that this is THE Fish and Chips place in Maidenhead. I fancy myself a bit of a Fish and Chips connoisseur, trying as many restaraunts nationwide as I can, when I can. I have to say the style of F&C they do at Oh My Cod, both the Cod and the chips, are 10/10 in both taste and appearance. The chips are golden, flavoursome, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - perfect. The cod is a great size every time, golden battered and crispy. You'll have to wait as they cook it fresh but it's worth the wait for that very reason, the quality is the same high standard week in, week out. All the staff are absolutely lovely, personable and friendly, making popping in a nice experience for anyone. I miss this place already and hope to go back in the future!

Nice food, but they were too slow serving it up. At 1pm lunchtime, would expect ordering a bag of chips to be in and out in 20 seconds not 10 minutes. Ask how long you'll be waiting!

Oh My Cod is absolutely wonderful. Staff are well trained and nice people. Cod is cooked fresh and always very nice. I had my food on Friday night and it was incredible. 25 minute wait but the staff apologised and wished me a good evening. 100% worth it.

Our usual chippy was shut so we tried this one instead. Unfortunately the fish and chips were awful. Fish in loads of hard greasy batter and tired chips. What a shame.

We have been going to O My Cod for the past 6 years, we have always enjoyed the food. Went there tonight and got Large Cod, medium chips and could not eat it. Cod looked tired, chips awful. Shush a shame.

Absolutely world class. Most of us think that the humble fish and chip meal is very easy to prepare and cook. In my experience, it really is never that simple. Just like the venerable full English cooked breakfast, it starts with quality ingredients and the a desire from the cook/chef to take the neccessary time to produce consistent results. Most food cooked to order here, but DEFINITELY worth the wait. This family business really cares about the customer. Always cheerful and friendly. Love you guys, thank you. D

Excellent food and good value for money.

For a busy shop they serve you pretty fast. I've found the fish (cod) nice & sausage in batter, but I only find the chips OK never really nice. I normally use another chip shop, but it has got so busy with the delivery services at the weekends & late week, it's too longba wait there now when you want fast food. At least these guys don't seem to be doing that yet, which helps people just turning up to the chippy, who want a quick meal.

Fish and chips always cooked well. Service is very slow, and only taking cash is now outdated and extremely unhelpful especially with Covid. This evening a customer turned up with Apple Pay only no cash or card to be used at a cash point. Member of staff advised customer to go next door to the office license buy something small and then ask for cash back. This is nonsense in this day and age

Best cod in town by mutual understanding of everyone I've ever talked to about it, which is quite a few people. Get your skates on, rock up and grab a plaice in line, your wallet won't take a battering either.

Ordered food from Oh My Cod this evening. The battered sausages were overcooked and dripping in grease. The chips were very overdone and tasteless too. Will not be a returning customer.

This is our third take away from Oh My cod, they are by far the best in the local area, we pre order and collect which is always seamless. The fish which has the skin off - a must, is lightly battered and a great portion size and the chips are perfect. Service is always smiley, nice to see the lady at the till gently taking her time to time to train a new lad on Saturday. A monthly staple. Thank you for freshly cooked fabulous fish n'chips.

when they first opened was great and fair. now far too expensive for people living in council acomodation on a low wage. the large cod used to feed two. now only one for more expence. there trick is to give more chips to try and fool us that we are getting value for our money. dont waste your money folks.

Really liked the “King Bites” which were great value and very generous portion which made a change from the usual traditional offerings. Massive portions and prompt and efficient staff who had good hygiene and CV19 measures in place to make people feel safe

Ordered 3 cod and chips; ready in 15 minutes. Large queue of people waiting to get into Sainsbury's, no-one waiting for fish and chips. Absolutely lovely fish, and plenty of perfectly cooked chips. Fantastic quality.

I always rated the fish here but on this occasion it was dry and tasteless and the batter was a bit heavy. My wife's chicken was very crispy and overcooked - the meat was very dry.Whenever i order over the phone for a specific time, i arrive 5 mins before the time ordered and they treat you as if you've just ordered so your food is at the back of the queue - so what's the point in pre-ordering. I ordered for 7 and only got my food at 7.15 - quite annoying.Not sure i'll come back again.

For the last four or five years we having been using On My Cod and have found no problems with food or staff. The haddock is to die for and have never had a bad bit. The size is great but two many chips even on small portions. I know u have to wait a while for our order but the wait is certainly work while. I would stick my neck out and say its the best fish and chips ever and so do my neighbours.

Have lived here for many years. This is probably the best fish & chip outlet in Maidenhead. Always go there by choice. Only drawback is that they aren't on any of the delivery chains but I've always found it to be worth visiting in person - fresh quality is unbeatable. They do a nice Pie and Chips as well.

Freshly made - but cash only (in 2019!). A large cod and small chips is plenty for two to share. There is quite often a queue, especially on a Friday, so phoning orders in saves hanging about.
