Ocean Blue Fish & Chips in Windsor and Maidenhead

I called in 30 minutes before I came to pick up, yet the order wasn’t ready and I ended up waiting 20 minutes. Why bother taking orders in advance?

Fancied a bit of fish and chips, no queue when we went in, served quickly, friendly enough staff, Order correct, still think prices are high but there we are these days, it is what it is!! Nice piece of cod, generous portion of chips, however curry sauce was more liquid than sauce. Not pleasant at all and went down the sink. Not sure what happened with that but waste of money and disappointing, should've complained but couldn't be bothered!! Food was good though. 👍

XXXXXX UPDATE 27/8 - reached out as you suggested below but not had a response XXXXXXFirst of all your website says open all day till 9pm not the case as only just opening at 4pm. Chips were absolutely disgusting (would have taken them back If it wasn’t so far) over cooked is an understatement, worse is the fact that the girl who wrapped them would have been blind not to notice. To me these chips were probably left over from dinner time and re fried as they came out the fryer and were not even hot.

So hungry after our house move and was disappointed 🤦🏻‍♀️Last time we had food from here a few years ago it was delicious. Tonight was not.

Disgusting, Disappointing, Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. How many more ONE STAR and NEGATIVE review, do people need to avoid places like these! Cold, Old, Dry, Re Heated Fish and Chips !!! The worst Fish and Chios ever.

Never in todays day of food would i have experienced a microwaved beef patty for my buger. Burnt chips, soggy from inside. Only saving grace was the onion rings i ordered which was my dinnner. Disgraceful- do not offer beef burgers if u cannot cook them properly. Please could the previous owners come back. Ruined my night!

If I could score a zero on every aspect I would. Bring back the previous owner. I have never witnessed unprofessionalism from one staff member speaking to both customers and colleagues with such venom and distain. Everyone felt the embarrassment, staff and customers! And to top it off, the food was horrendous.

Chips were awful like they were reheated not freshly cooked as you would expect as opened at 11:30am and we bought at 12:15pm. Ate a few but gave the most to the jackdaws who eat anything. Sad really because we don’t really want to risk another visit! Unhappy customer!

The village needs better chippy! Whilst the fish is well cooked, the rest of the menu is not as good. The chips have the texture of cardboard and make the experience sub standard. Can we please have crispy, freshly cooked ones instead?? Also, ditch all the branding, get the things served in plain paper again :)

Very poor Fish and Chips and fish cakes, all of the food was extremely dry and utterly tasteless, very disappointing, will not order ever again, don’t waste your money.

Fish portion a bit small and expensive, but comes with the territory these days. At least it was delicious, fresh with good crispy batter. Chips good. Will come back for more

Great Chicken burger! The seasoned fries were delicious. Only thing was having the drink packaged with the burgers for delivery did make it hot by the time it arrived.

What a rip off £6.68 for a saveloy and the smallest portion of chips I have ever been served in a chippy. Over double what I normally pay and a mean portion of chips as well.

We got regular cods, chips, fish cakes and scampi. Everything was delicious, fried to perfection and with good oil. The best fish & chips we had for a very very long time - and by a long shot too.

Good food but 5.95 for a quarter chicken is unpalatable. Prices have gone up but shocked at the price.

Had a takeaway tonight 27/01/23 from Deep Blue Sunninghill. The fish was beautifully cooked, the best we’ve ever tasted, absolutely fantastic and the chips were delicious, superb quality. 100% highly recommend oh yes and the portion size was amazing 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Much maligned after a change in management, this chip shop has risen like a phoenix from the ashes. The refurbishment is glorious, staff morale appears to have improved considerably, the ordering system is far more streamlined. And of course most importantly, the fish is at its best. Congratulations to the hardworking staff and new management for turning this place around.

My new Go-to chip shop! We have been to the same chip shop near home, for years and swear by it, have tried many others but are never happy. I opened a shop near these guys recently and this is now also our favourite for when we are in the area working. Which is saying alot as we're fussy! Great service, friendly staff, especially the manager, which is hard to come by these days. The food is absoloutely pucker and reasonably priced. The curry sauce is better than our local and to top it off, the chicken nuggets are literally the best chicken nuggets I've ever eaten anywhere, not even just in a fish and chip shop, I mean like EVER 😂. Keep up the good work guys, you're awesome!

The food here is 5Star!! The halloumi bites 👌🏼 I’ve never tasted anything so good!! And today I tried the salt and peppered squid! Wow! 10/10 and to come from a chip shop too! Definitely restaurant quality and not greasy!!

Amazing 👏 our local chippy is back. Chips are cooked to perfection. Fish is fresh and batter is very tasty. Battered sausage is also very nice. A bit pricey but it's worth it. New self order system is excellent, helps in keeping the cues down. Very clean and staff are nice also. Keep it up..

Tried Ocean Blue on Good Friday. My parents have just moved into the area and love fish and chips (When they can find decent quality of course). We decided to see what the quality was like from Ocean Blue and none of us were disappointed. Large Cod was excellent (It actually was large, making a welcome change from some places). The batter is perfect as were the chips. Highly recommended. I can't comment on litter on the street as someone previously did. The place was spotless as was the street.Going back this evening and will now be regulars. Well done Ocean Blue.

I eat fish and chips perhaps once every 3 months, but tonight's experience was a little bit special.Fish could not have been fresher, the batter crispier and the chips were a far cry from the soggy offerings that seem to have come the standard fare of too many chippies

Omg we were so happy when this place opened up on Tuesday after weeks closed.Think we were first there haha.The best fish and chips around anywhere.Was worried maybe the wouldnt be as good quality and up to their usual standards ( thinking of supply issues with the fish)But no worries at all was as fabulous as usual.

food is average at best, never seems to be open during its advertised opening hours though. Go somewhere for better food and the chance of being open is my recommendation.
