Had an amazing time at the clubhouse last Sunday. I went for the beef wellington was outstanding. So much flavour with the roast potatoes which were lovely and crunchy with some veg on the side which was just the right amount and one thing I would like to mention the lovely waitress/bartender Laura amazing service she was really sweet, really outstanding and gave such a brilliant service. Well done and keep smashing it!! Will be coming back for another roast 100%!!

Absolutely terrible service very poor quality food, cheap frozen rubbish. Don’t attempt to pop in for chips you will be given a number (say 45) to then discover they are still serving number 4. Ridiculous method if all you want is some chips! Advertise there food hygiene rating of 4 proudly!!!

This cafe was next to my hotel, so I dropped in for a coffee and baguette before setting off to hike round to Ryde. Wish I'd discovered it sooner, as it was the best cafe I came across during my stay in Sandown. I had an egg-and-tomato baguette, which they knocked up very quickly (they are not ready made), and it was lush. I love eggs and always have them in a baguette, and I rate this the best egg baguette I had all summer. They'd done the eggs to perfection--so instead of the flat pale look slices of boiled egg usually have, these had the granular golden surface of good-quality eggs cooked very recently. I had a chat to the jolly, friendly ladies in this cafe, including a lovely Welsh one who told me everything is fresh. You wouldn't get a slice of yesterday's boiled egg in Planet Janet, that's for sure. And with lovely bread and fresh tomato slices too, it was just the perfect baguette experience, which is not often come by. That and a good coffee in this charming sea-front corner cafe set me up for my hike with a smile on my face.

pre-ordered fish and chips for 30 as supper for a wedding reception. Absolutely SUPERB!!! .... Checked with us that we still needed 30 changed it to 26 and 2 chicken nuggets when we arrived at the appointed time they were just finishing wrapping the last few. Gave us advice re not leaving them wrapped very long as would lose crispness, asked if we need salt, pepper, vinegar etc. We were only a short drive away in Pembury and had 4 people ready to help with distribution ..result hot crisp fish and chips that was DEMOLISHED with relish especially by our guests from abroad who were delighted to have an authentic English fish and chips. Only word of warning ..the portions are GENEROUS ! People said they couldn't move but couldn't bear to leave it

I've been here many times and it is consistently excellent. It's my go to fish & chip shop in Burgess Hill and its a bit cheaper than most of the others in town. Generous portions, great quality fish and perfect chips. It's a slightly shabby looking place but don't let this put you off!

Stumbled upon this restaurant whilst on holiday, we had a gorgeous meal in a fabulous setting. Menu was fantastic, I could’ve eaten it all! Would definitely return if in the area again. Really great for all the family.

42nd Anniversary lunch was excellent. Started with a very nice chilled Cava. The crab starter and beetroot infused smoke salmon were a big hit, as were the main course of lobster and Lemon Sole (perfectly cooked).. Nice vibe about the place with good service. Desserts of Pavlova and Chocolate Ganache were a good effort but shows a lack of real patisserie knowledge. Overall though a 5 out of 5, because what we went in for (the fish) was outstanding. £145 inc tea and coffee not service charge was amazing value. I would highly recommend a visit.
