The best restaurants serving Seafood food in South East

First visit to this chippy and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both fish and chips. Lovely crispy batter and a nice texture to the cod. The chips were nicely cooked and tasted great. My food was cooked to order and it was worth the wait. Nice service too.

Absolutely amazing, the fish so delicious - perfectly cooked, they even gave me a small portion of chips on the house! And I loved their Greek salad. A must for anyone in the area. Definitely value for money and great tasting food.

Had deliveroo delivery and it was truly awful food. Chips and fish had been reheated and the batter was full of grease and baked solid.. Would never order again!

Amazing fish but chips were awful, no fresh !!!!! Re fried, such a shame,please sort your chips out and I will be a customer for life.

Simple no frills fish n chip shop. I've travelled around the coast and I'm always searching for a better chip shop, I have not found one better than Highfield. Prices are low for the quality. A Cod n Large chips is a tenner. It's £12.50 most other places.

I’m gonna start by saying that I’m not moaning about the food. It’s the best local fish and chip shop. The young lad who’s answering the phone, needs to listen. He asked me for my postcode (which I gave) and the food still got sent to my old address.luckily, still warm

This chippy is amazing! The chips are the best I've ever had and I've just had a Cod and that was the best in Milton Keynes I've ever tasted... Growing up we had a brilliant chippy that was loved by everyone, Friars is the closest I have ever tasted.. Thanks, keep up the good work Tom

I nearly fell off my perch when I found out the cost of a fish dinner for two at what was Mother Kelly's in Portchester. I left this takeaway, went a quarter of a mile up from there and visited Tony's bar in Saunders house, Leith Avenue. Got two nice bits of fish cooked to order/ perfection and more than enough chips for the both of us. Sorted.

Absolutely fantastic setting , relaxing and friendly. Service excellent. The food was freshly cooked and was absolutely fantastic

One would not expect anything serving in a shopping mall to be even halfway decent and who wants to drink coffee in a shopping area? But this place is good. Great coffee, good snack type food and very good value.

The food I brought was extremely greasy and the chips were not fully cooked. I would not recommend this place

First visit on Father’s Day with large order as one of only fish and chip shops open. Must say all very good! I had the homemade chicken and mushroom pie- delicious

Absolutely recommended. Lovingly furnished restaurant with a fantastic sea view. The service is really very accommodating. Attentive and very quick on the move. A great selection of fish dishes but also meat. The side dishes also offer something for every taste. The dishes are beautifully prepared and the best thing is that you can take a look into the open kitchen. The toilets are also clean and nicely decorated. Highly recommended with a great price-performance ratio.

Takr away or seated. Tasty and fresh fish etc. Friendly staff. One star less because chips are not as 'crisp and dry' as some others we've had.
