Best fish and chips in the area by far. The staff who take the orders over the telephone are always pleasant

Since i was a kid i loved this place, the staff are the best you can have and the food is what fish and chips SHOULD always be, generous portions, simple prices and friendly behind the counter. Even when ive grown and moved away, we always make our way over to Georges because its the best

We only use this fish and chips shop as we can be sure our order will be perfect every time. Big portions, fast delivery, friendly staff and delicious food. Highly recommend.

Fantastic kebab I got a large as normally that means medium but not here large means large as gose for the chips don't take my word for it try it.

Average fish, under cooked soggy chips, disappointing overall.

Lovely meal as always, but large chips definitely were on the small side compared to normal portions

Always earlier than stated on ASAP deliveries and usually of high quality. with them being closed for summer holidays we have tried other chip shops and we realise how spoiled we are having George's close by. Best chippie in this area by a very long way.

Quick delivery but food wasn’t that great chips was horrible asked for salt and vinegar didn’t get it they tasted funny like cardboard 2 sausages was ok but not the best will differently won’t be ordering from here again

We had our order delivered from George’s a kebab chips and onion rings we were very impressed lovely hot food really generous and tasty and we shall use again and we recommend them yum yum

I very rarely have dinner delivered to me but today I did. Tonight I ordered cod and regular chips from George’s. Arrived well within the estimated delivery time (update was excellent), delivery driver was very friendly and the food was so delicious! Negative comment I can make for me personally is …….. don’t serve as many chips, I would say there were defo enough for 3 people, my dogs would disagree with this as they’ve both had a portion. Keep up the good work - defo the best fish and chips round here for me.

Delivered bang on time. Large cod. Excellently cooked. Batter crunchy and tasty. Never had any skin or bones on fish from here. Chips beautiful. So hot nearly burnt my fingers putting them on my plate.

Meal arrived later initially advised but we were flexible about what time we were eating. delivery driver apologised for the late running when he arrived.

Best cod and chips I’ve had in a long time. Portions were big, nice thick piece of skinless and boneless cod. Beautifully cooked. I think the saveloy and pancake roll were a little overpriced, but were delicious.

much better recently chips aren't as hard and actually cooked not cold. Good value for money too

Unfortunately, Friday 23.12.23,the fish batter was not crispy, and it looks like wet..order was made very fast,compared with other orders...I don't say that im not ordering anymore...I will give you a chance!! Lovely double burger with salad and chilli sauce, with a generous portion of chips. All excellent.

Perfect meat & chips, with proper "fish shop" chips, meat tasty and non greasy, food early and hot enough on arrival, good portion size. Chilli sauce was fierce, even for me, so I'm glad I ordered it separately and not on the kebab.....but otherwise brilliant! Will be back for sure.

Gutted been looking forward to chicken burger chips and a sausage in batter all day hubby had fish and it was all disgusting! The batter on the fish and sausage was wet and and u could fold it up no crispiness at all and my burger roll fell apart in my hands and it all stunk of old food !.. never again

These guys are so good. Food is always excellent and very generous portions. Ordered a medium cod today but they didn't have any, so they sent a large cod instead at no extra cost. Can't think of many other places that would do that for you.

The size of the chips portion was extremely unacceptable- totally inadequate- supposed to be large but was more like a small portion- very dissatisfying

Always a winner and unlike most other establishments, their prices have increased, but the shish kebabs haven't reduced in size. I had to order from a different take out a couple of weeks ago, and the lamb in four shish kebabs was ridiculously small, yet their prices had almost doubled.

Very impressed with the delivery time and price wasn't too bad. Food was very nice too

Absolutely horrid, I’ve never had something so disgusting in my life , there was hair in my food, my kebab was raw and the chips was undercooked and looked to have mould on them, It was absolutely revolting, they was rude and snappy and tried to charge me extra. I would not recommend

Why has this place gone downhill? It has been my local chip shop since I was born! Savoy brown instead of pink probably left from yesterday and chips soggy and oily! When I went to collect the order the girl only started bagging it up when I said collection… why was it not done when I ordered it! None of it was fresh appalling sell it and let someone else do a better job!

Food was just luke warm and chips were undercooked and soggy.We only live a few minutes away from the restaurant so I don't know why the food wasn't piping hot.

We come here quite alot but today the chips were quite soggy from being bit under cooked and also no salt and vinegar, the kebab seemed to need a bit more cooking. The rest of food was lovely.

Ordered 2 savaloy and 1 giant battered and chips. Savaloy and battered was nice but chips was soggy, horrible and greasey
