The best restaurants serving Seafood food in South East

So the chips I thought were nice but my partner thought they were on the more underdone side! I had an unexpected friend in my dinner (a hair as seen in first photo) I would just like to add me and my partner are both blonde/light haired!! My cod was so so soggy I felt like it must have been sat in the warmer for agessss I couldn’t actually eat it, but my partners cod was fine but he ordered a large cod and it was definitely more on the small/ medium side! It’s an absolute shame as I ate here about a year ago and it was so delicious 🥺

Another perfect visit this morning to the Lazy Shack on Hythe beach. A really quirky place that has been converted into an amazing restaurant. Lola and her sister Ruby are excellent hosts, both friendly, hard working and approachable. They deserve success because the food served is cooked perfectly and served steaming hot. A great place to visit for a ‘fishy’ meal or a huge breakfast, they also have a great cake selection.

I have just had the best fish and chips I have ever tasted at Butlin’s Bognor Regis. I cannot fault the quality of the fish which was cooked to perfection and the chips were perfect too! Great portions, hot, crispy batter and chips just right with no grease at all. Would recommend that if you have the chance try it for yourself!

It's great to see this chippy arrive in Polegate , so much better than the previous merchants. We live here and now don't have to drive to John's chippy in Hailsham as they've moved here.

Always a good meal from this chippy. It's a lovely treat as fish and chips are not the cheap meal it used to be. Fish is lovely and tasty and the chips are absolutely divine. One of the best chippys in the SOx area.

The meal was tip too however the service from one person ruined the whole experience for us. Please be aware that this is a passive experience, great food but indifferent service. I do t want to mention names but she know who she is.

It used to be good but just I've had possibly the worst cod and chips I've ever had. It's a shame because it used to be the best. I'm shocked they even served me this rubbish.

The first time I went, the menu was a bit confusing but the waitress happily explained it. I was a bit dubious at first looking at the prices and all that but oh boy I'd say it's worth every penny. The food was lovely and the service was brilliant especially one waitress, she was 👌(feel like a creep saying that, but yeah she was 👌👌👌👌)

Very large portions of cod great chips and good price can't fault them best value in margate cash only

Shame this place has closed down, I think the new owners were an improvement and it had lots of vegetarian options, unlike most chip shops in the area. Interestingly they said the shop had been named Sea Horse for 40 years and they couldn't change it. What went wrong?
