Fresh seafood and great service! If you like oysters, you definitely must try them. They're affordable.

I have to say I love sea food and this is the best stall I've ever been to I see a bad revue review from Tammy Smith if she could only spell eels she might have enjoyed them thank you net shop excellent fish stall.

Go here quite often. Food is good. Got my usual, a 16 seafood sticks and this time the smallest cup of peeled prawns to take away. I'm sure the girl said £3.30 but it was a bit of a mumble when I think of it. I noticed on the bank it was £5.30 charged on the next day. Hope it was a simple miscalculation (although it is a simple one) and not deliberate. Will go again but I'll be more cautious next time.

Oysters are very fresh and are only £1.20 each!

Seafood was rotten ,like its been put In the microwave and been heated up i falt seafood was ment be stone cold fresh would never eat from there again 👎👎and the staff miserable old dins two young girls there not got a clue I ask what ells thay was and said thay was jelly ells 🤣🤣not got a clue

The sea food was lovely, but the two girls serving where very sullen and unfriendly. No welcome, no smile, no eye contact, no thank you, no goodbye . We won't be returning with our tourist guests, this was a bit embarrassing.

Nice small place with lots of delicious things! It is unbelievable that you can walk along and buy some fresh oysters as a snack! Taste amazing fresh! Recommended.

Nice little place and good tasty Cockles pity about one of their rude member of staff when I asked her a question about them she was blond women in her late Fifties with a bucktooth and no people skills hence the one star

Probably the best seafood in Hastings Over the last few years I have visited all the seafood stands and have found the freshness and taste the best. There is never a smell of fish and often a queue. Price is good for size of pots. I haven't tried everything but regularly will by cockles, mussels, shell on prawns, whelks, oysters, crab sticks etc. Just wish also did winkles. I have recommended and taken family and friends to get seafood. I know visit Hastings more and always make a stop here

Always buy my shellfish from Johnny Swann but lashed out on a seafood platter take away last weekend - it was incredible truly scrumptious lobster crab oysters languistines prawns - really enjoyed it !

Love this shop,been several times,always decent shell fish.it seems to taste better by the sea.If you get the chance stop by.you won’t be disappointed.

Myself and my wife had gone down to Hastings on a day out very good weather on the day, we ordered some different seafood all of which was very good indeed. We had cockles whelks jellyied eels and bought some crabmeat to take home in a cool bag as well as more whelks and sea food mix. All very tasty, the staff are friendly helpful and is kept clean unlike some other establishments. Was told once that they are only closed on one day a year,it being Xmas day don’t know if that’s true or not. Always popular. Good prices.

A clean, traditional seafood bar with friendly service, and serving all the usual shellfish ; Cockles, Mussels, Whelks, Jellied Eels, Prawns etc. Almost on the beach and adjacent to the fishermen's huts. Fresh food!

Good tasty prawns and cockles taken on a very cold day in Hastings. Bit disappointed that there was nowhere to actually sit down. Unsure if I will return as I prefer the outlet which has tables and chairs.

Found this place on my day trip to Hastings. I ordered a plaice in a bun and it freshly grilled in minutes. For £3 I was really impressed. It tasted delicious and I could easily have had another one if I was not so full. The gentlemen who served me was really friendly. They only sell fish and there's no chips.

I came here with my parents a couple of days ago and we enjoyed an array of delicious seafood from here such as oysters, prawns, whelks and cockles. All were fresh and good value. The only thing that lets it down a bit is that we found that some of the staff members could have been a bit more polite. They were not very talkative and quite abrupt. It is a bit of a shame otherwise the experience would have been perfect.

Bank holiday weekend we stopped by here to have a cup of cockles and also one of whelks smothered in vinegar and topped with paprika The prices have gone up and are not cheap but the staff were fairly friendly

First visit here to try my seafood favourites Whelks. Usually buy from nearby place but as not open when we called tried here. Started by thinking better than I had before as very fresh and not at all chewy but not quite as tasty .. think I should have added more pepper and vinegar ! Will give it another go next visit to decide whether to change allegiance. Friendly staff and good choice of various seafoods and open in March so had many plus points !

Have eaten shellfish 🦐🦀🐚 here a few times in the past, and also taken shellfish home with us in a cool bag. Prices are fair and good selection.

Best Jellied Eels and whelks for miles around!!!

They do very tasty crab in a creamy dressing, very rich and moorish. Plenty of other choices too like prawns and cockles.

I come here a lot for a selection of 10 oysters. They are fresh and delicious. A must visit place on your trip to Hastings.

Whenever me and my family are in Hastings we always make a stop at the net shop for plenty of fresh seafood. The oysters are always fresh and delicious, the whelks and cockles are also always fresh delicious and ordered in large portions. I can honestly say I've never had anything bad from this bar. Even my kids love to fill their bellies full of jellied eels and cockles from here. Definitely the best place to stop if you want some great seafood. Reasonably priced food. Well worth a visit.

Las ostras se abren frescas en frente de usted, calentar y las anchoas son encantadoras y me he crecido hasta anguilas jellied amor. Whelks son lo único que no puedo llevar yo para probar, pero estoy fascinada de ver gente que los solicitan. También me he comprado la langosta en vivo desde aquí en el pasado, con muy buena relación calidad-precio

This is a nice place although the prices have risen as they have everywhere but this is a good bar for seafood and would recommend it here which is popular with tourists and locals alike

Porque sólo viven 33 millas de Hastings, a menudo ir allí varias veces al año. Ninguna visita sería completa sin la obligatoria del marisco. Mi mujer va en total el modo mermaid cuando llegamos allí, ya que ella es tan gratos de Whelks, Anchoa y húmedo de pescado. Estábamos allí esta semana (marzo de 2017) y el Whelks fueron sorprendentes.

Me visita semanal para mi taza de langostinos frescos. No puedo recomendar este lugar. Todo es capturado localmente, a sólo un tiro de piedra de distancia, al otro lado de la carretera se puede ver los barcos y los pescadores que han cumplir el marisco...

Not a resturant ,but best jellied eels around ,plus all the usual seafood ,been coming here for years.

Had a cup of whelks here which were of great taste especially with some spiced vinegar and paprika - eaten in the glorious weather which did make a change due to the typical English WeatherGood place - Try it

We have been visiting the Net Shop all year round for many, many years. Jellied eels are our favourite but also like whelks, cockles and sometimes take home a prepared crab for supper. Recently forgot that they are closed on a Monday and looked at other stalls but we decided to do without our treat that day!

I had a large pot of jellied eels smothered in pepper and vinegar with fresh white bread, "luverly" I also had a pint of winkles to take home and eat with bread and butter, great. I've not had them in years as not a lot of fish sellers don't have them.

This is a popular spot for Seafood in the Old Town of Hastings, opposite the famous Listed Hastings Net Shops/HutsThey sell a variety of seafood including whelks, cockles, prawns, jellied eels, winkles &amp; dressed crabs amongst others This time I bought whelks (£3:00 a cup) and a pint of WinklesThey were all very good and the service was just rightThey aren't the cheapest place for seafood and if you look around you will find other places that sell the same things at less costOverall though a fair place to go

My partner buys seafood here almost every weekend, moved to Hastings/St Leonards on sea some 9 years ago, he always went to Billingsgate when we lived in London, but no need to do all that travelling @ stupid o'clock at the weekend when you have this fantastic stall!

Me and my fiancée visit Hastings at least twice a year... This is the place where we always stop.. Unfortunately you can't sit down and warm up by the fire as it's outside.. However the seafood is always fresh a lot of options and it's really cheap... Do you wanna pay 14 quid for a whole dressed crab in the restaurant or 4 quid here... Oysters are always great I think they charge about 80p each ... My fiancées favorite is the whelks... So goooood

This is a very good Seafood Bar set in the heart of Rock a Nore (Hastings Old Town), that serves quite a variety of Seafood.If you go here though you should try the Whelks, with lots of vinegar and pepper - umm can just taste them now!Staff are friendly and helpful should you have any queries.Adventurous people even go for the Jellied Eels.Parking can be an issue here which can be awkward sometimes.Enjoy
