Complete waste of time don’t go to this store ! Staff standing around doing nothing .. shelves empty ! Ignorant home shopping staff parking trolleys blocking aisles .. pallets left all over the floor waiting for a claim! .. rubbish all over the floor! Self checkout staff standing in a group having a nice chat about their night out including swearing ! Ignoring the red light help calls .. don’t bother going down the home aisles all the stock is above and what stock is out has no price! Worst shopping experience I have had in a very long time I won’t be returning

Su cocina tienen modernizado unos años atrás, pero nada de asustar a los amantes de la cocina mexicana, ferviente el lugar es una bala!

Hi The Amsterdam Inn. We came for Sunday lunch yesterday, on the draw of the gluten-free menu and the irresistable pull of unlimited roast potatoes. The pub has a nice atmosphere and the team behind the bar (and the young staff bringing food out from the kitchen) were nice and we had a really good time, despite the food being literally the worst, most unappetising food I've seen and at £19!!!!!!! The first problem was that what was brought out wasn't even what was on the menu. Overcooked, colourless broccoli florets in place of what was advertised as tenderstem. The carrots... were microwaved, shrivelled and had that dry old skin effect from sitting around, cabbage - absolutely transparent, no colour at all. the rubbery, microwaved roast potatoes with no hint of crisp obviously held no appeal for seconds. The weird lumpy, minty gravy... I could go on. The lamb shank itself was O.K. a bit fatty and clearly not cooked with anything resembling care but still OK. Served on mashed potatoes (menu said garlic and herb i think - no hint of those flavours whatsoever), obviously what's needed when you have roast potatoes as well? The guys in our party ate the whole lot but anyone who has ever eaten and truly enjoyed a properly good meal will really struggle to even look at the plate offered at The Amsterdam Inn. It was truly tragic. If it had been £6-£7 it would have been a bit much even then, but £19.... I am absolutely floored and had to write. Oh yeah, I'll also mention the ''cheesecake'' which I ordered in the hope of leaving feeling close to full. It's not a cheesecake. It seemed to be millionaire's shortbread and it doesn't need stale old popcorn for decoration making it worse! (£7). NINETEEN POUNDS how can you justify it?!?!? Amazing service and food. It was Sunday so menu reduced but asked for a mixed grill and they were only to happy to help. Perfection all over, service, food and price, totally recommend. Dom was a delight.

We found the staff really good, good selection of beers and the atmosphere wasn't bad at all. Now the food we took the 4 starters for £25 the wings were good, the belly pork chunks not bad either, I don't think if we went back we would order the shrimp or the fish cakes a bit bland. Main courses were belly pork, chicken thighs and butterflied breast of chicken..all ok but a bit lack luster! You would have thought that there would be a selection of fish dishes such as jerk fish, snapper etc.

Just had two of Weatherspoons 8oz steak menu, it was wonderful cooked to perfection. Highly recommended together with a Merlot Wine. Go upstairs not so busy and great A/C keeping you nice and cool in today's temperature 32c.

Quick trip to UK. Nice enough food for a massive intl. hotel chain based in an airport terminal, but there was an exceptional waiter called RAJ who absolutely rocked it. Worked his arse off and really needs some recognition. Well done!

Came for breakfast … well what can I say !! The manager started to clear away condiments and cutlery which he had only put down 10 minutes before hand and I reminded him that we hadn’t eaten as yet … 45 minutes later our food turned up … presented lovely on the plate but was cold ‘ when I spoke to the manager he was rude and not too bothered that we weren’t happy ‘ I challenged him on the ham used for eggs Benedict as it was in fact left over roast pork not ham … he was very sarcastic and said ham is pork !! Told him we didn’t want our food and ordered some toast instead which when brought to the table we received another sarcastic comment And to be charged £30 for coffee and toast was a bit extreme !!! Won’t be returning and suggest you don’t bother going either

Restaurant had a booking for a large number of tables. Unfortunately i didnt see the reservation sign as was shouted at by a member of staff as i sat on a reserved table. I moved as soon as she shouted across the room at me. Then another member of staff at the tills very rudely said to my husband i was to move and there were empty tables at the very back. I got to a table at the back but it had no number on it, the lady that shouted at me to moeahd followed me so i advised there was no number and she replied i know that just sit down, Never before have i been made to feel so unwelcome as we regularly have lunch here. But i will not go back and wouldn’t recommend them either.

Only thing that saved this place was the pleasant service from the staff. No fries, salt fish buns or plantain in Brixton…. It has gone down since new owner. I won’t be going back as his clearly doesn’t care about his customers or staff who have to put on a front for this shambles. Toilet seat hanging off on a hinge, no lights . Can’t believe his is London 2024 . The poor staff we belittled and embarrassed by our complaints. Owner sort it out please we came across London for this. We should’ve went to Turtle Bay , the birthday meal was ruined!!!

Vine a cenar el viernes por la noche con mi novia y tuvimos un tiempo increíble. La comida que nos sirven era deliciosa y grandes porciones, también tienen una hermosa decoración. Todo el personal hizo un buen trabajo. Pero debo decir que uno de ellos fue excepcional, se llama Hoeldes Timoteo de Brasil Minas Gerais. Timoteo fue muy servicial, fue atento, fue amable y conocedor, fue muy bueno en explicarnos la comida que nos sirve y recomendarnos algunas de las mejores carnes. Para este tipo de comida y servicio sin duda volveremos.

Laurenco provided excellent service! So did the other servers who attentively brought out the food! Great team, asset to the restaurant! Will come again as a direct result to the service I have received today

Short trip for a coffee and pastries with family. Staff not particularly engaging and coffee not great. We remember this being a really friendly cafe with tasty food and lively atmosphere. Many tables not cleared, grubby toilets and not much selection to choose from when we visited in the late afternoon.

First time out since Christmas as we never got the chance. Loved the exterior and interior. The Manger and bar staff were good. We were led upstairs, this to us was cosy and definitely warmly. The young female waitress very nice ( i always joke about and she smiled constantly). Down stairs at the bar was busy, everyone was having a good time. It was nice to see people having fun. Our drinks, no problem with service and cocktails for my wife were good. Wife enjoyed her burger and sides. I enjoy my fillet stake and sides. All the food was perfect. We totally loved the time we spent. So we will return

Lovely Sunday roast dinner Friendly staff. . Good portion size and choice of vegetables. Price was reasonable for the quality of food. Like most places now, they add an optional service charge to the bill.
