Service with a smile. In particularly, really good service from Harrison who went over and beyond to try and cater to my dietary requirements and as I was in a rush personally ensured swift service when I stayed over at the hotel for work conference and popped in for a dinner. Although the booking was done in advance, the resturant refused to acknowledge the booking and instead offered the table in the dining area. Whilst we had done a booking for the bar area ( as we were there for drinks and nibble) I had to then find a table by myself and it turned out to be quite an embarrassing situation for my colleagues, who were initially informed that we have a confirmed booking.

The Market Kitchen is let down by bad service. We paid for a hotel room with use of the Executive Lounge but due to the Christmas period the Lounge items were being dealt with in the Restaurant. We went down for Nibbles and ended up having just one portion, as I advised there was a lot of it my husband wouldn't like on it. It was only later I realised that a couple in front of us had 3 or 4 each, sometimes asking for just bread and in one case asking for the pasta to be brought out in bigger bowls, to save bringing more of them. It certainly seemed like regulars were treated differently. Due to this and the staff chatting to regulars ordering from the main menu was painfully slow and getting another drink, near impossible. At breakfast the next morning it was self-service and I was offered help, but I found myself with Apple Juice, and not Cranberry Juices, as the juices were labelled incorrectly - lack of detail. Before Checking Out, were had a Late Check out so we ordered lunch, which you do on the App. The App advised that it would be 45 minutes for delivery, but after 70 minutes waiting it had not arrived. I went down to Reception to enquire and apparently the order was stuck in the printer. 25 mins later we had food. Bearing all this in mind, I am not sure if we would eat here again, however convenient when staying at the hotel.

Tandoori chicken burger, bit dry but aromatic flavour. Chips seasoning delicious and moreish. Service was 10/10. First day breakfast 7am perfect. Omelette made to order, even Indian flavours. Second day breakfast 9am too busy, unorganised, tables weren't being re-set fast enough. Had to ask for cutlery multiple times. Hot drinks machine stopped working momentarily. Not enough English breakfast tea bags. Plus side Indian tea offered. Lots of condiments. Sausages and hash browns delicious. Scrambled eggs and poached eggs too watery. Lots of nuts present with other breakfast items - not good for allergy sufferers. Nuts should be kept covered and separated - it is an air born allergy and can easily kill via anaphylaxis! Pancake machine maker made pancakes that tasted like uncooked rubber. Alternative milk provided. Apple & orange juice yummy.

I stayed 1 night at Marriott Leicester and had dinner at their restaurant … what a mistake… There were big groups and they did not seem to be organized for this … they closed the kitchen for about 1h so they could serve the groups and then reopened. Obviously not enough staff on that evening … very noisy … and the food came finally 30 min after I ordered … it could have been great but was cold and ravioli were extremely dry … I asked for a little cream to add on … they accepted but never brought it … It was not the same experience back in October 2022… I guess tonight was just a unexpected overload …

The kitchen restaurant is a nice place to be. I had a few different meals here and they were all to a great standard. While in the restaurant I wanted to order from both the restaurant menu and the room menu, the staff in the restaurant were more the happy for me to do this, despite the menus being different. The staff are very friendly and accommodating in particularly Iffat, nothing was too much trouble for her and she went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met. She seemed to have a good rapport with the other customers in her care. Elliot was also very friendly and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. I stayed at this hotel for a week and everything was to satisfaction. The rooms are clean, well kept, and maintained. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is powerful and the reception staff are very friendly.

4 inch sausage for £8.smothered in thick gravy plonked on hummus. Hummus and gravy???the description in the menu...? Mergues sausage, red wine and hummus. I would've expected it being cooked in the wine with hummus to dip if required perhaps with a bit of soda bread! Nope just gloopy sickly stodge. To be fair I complained as it was also cold along with the chips. I therefore didn't pay the £8 for one 4 inch sausage.service was slow too.

In the evening we had the flat iron chicken and thai green curry which were both well presented and delicious! As we left one of the waiters advised us towards a quieter time for our convenience at breakfast as there was a coach trip staying - a nice gesture! When we came for breakfast the chef asked us how our night was - another nice gesture. Again the food was great and there was a wide choice of options to pick. If I was looking to stay in or near Leicester again I would definitely book this hotel and an option which included breakfast.

I have some dietary requirements (no gluten, no dairy) and even though the menu highlights that certain dishes can be made gluten and dairy free, the waitress looked visibly annoyed when I asked for the free from version and just kind of glared at me without saying anything. Not sure what I did or said but everyone else at the table noticed and there was an awkward silence after that. We all thought it was uncalled for and quite rude. Food is good, ambience is good (we sat outside) but the staff was quite rude and slow as well. Nice Decor and service but the food although nicely cooked was Bland in my view. I had the a=scallops to start with that should have been nice, they were well cooked in texture but the potatoe and smoked bacon brought no flavour. I was a bit surprised there was no Saltyness form the bacon which was quite dry. I have cooked with the juices from Chorizo which gives it great kick but It was just bland. I went for the fillet steak for the main which was very well cooked and the I think Garlic butter was very good - top rating for that. The Pepper Sauce was however thick and gloppy and not that peppery and big disappointment. I had the New potatoes with parmesan which was as described and again was expecting some melted butter / parmesan but I could have prepper at home in 1 min extra. The desert was nice which was the sticky toffee pudding the ice cream was good. But the desert range available was disappointing as I fancied something else. The house red was good as well. Would I go back - actually yes but I would go for chips and have the fillet steak as is - as it was very good and at a pretty good price. I would just go for a different starter.

Went for brunch. The staff was extremely friendly. The ambience by the front of the place near the windows is nice, though I found it quite dark in the back. I would have left if the only option was to sit there. It was not busy at 10am on a Saturday morning so we had our pick of seats. Now about the food: my friend and I both got the avocado on sourdough with poached eggs. One of my eggs was cooked completely through (yolk not running at all). Both eggs were cold. The avocado was so soaked in lime it was all I could taste, and it was otherwise unseasoned. My friend’s eggs were cooked correctly but her toast was burnt (they did give her a new piece upon request). I don’t feel it was a dish which got the attention of a trained cook, so it was essentially a £10 piece of cold sour toast. My husband reports his pancakes we fine. Nothing special but good enough. Likely will not rerun, as the food did not stand up to the prices.

The Parlour has lots of good things and loads of potential. The food is very nice and the portions are good, especially the roasts. I did not have them but the comment was that the meat was very tasty. Burgers are less substantial but also tasty. Fries servings are a bit on the small side. My main was a lentils veggie option which was well cooked. The restaurant itself is trendy and well kept, but a bit unprepared for big groups wanting to have a lengthy dining experience. We were 8 people for early dinner on a Sunday, booked in advance. We were sat at a high table, with five settings on each side (10 total instead of 8). Sitting on a high table with high chairs for dinner is not very convenient. The table was also not fixed, we had to put the brakes on it ourselves. it was more like a bar for drinks. You could see that other tables (the place was quite empty) were also low tables, more suited for drinks than food, but were set for food. The service was good. We had our own waitress, which seemed to be serving either all or a big part of the floor. As the place got busier, and as we were on a corner, we did feel a bit forgotten. We had to call for attention for both the desserts and payment. In general I think the restaurant is good. A place to go if you find yourself in the area but nothing especial enough to go all the way to Canary Wharf. It feels more suited for drinks than food, but the kitchen does a great job. With that kitchen I believe they should make the effort to cater for sitting down meals and they could be looking at more patrons coming through the doors.

More than all the other issues that pervaded this joke of an experience, it's the utter failure to deliver food with a style and flair, let alone exciting taste, that disappoints. A chicken breast (desperately flavourless) from the grill served lonely on the plate with a sprinkling of sad pea-shoots, along with a side of root vegetables that felt just somehow just dumped rather than served; a dish of ravioli that was meant to be spinach and ricotta as the pumpkin ravioli was off - yet magically turned out to be almost entirely pumpkin yet with two (yes two) of the spinach and ricotta variety, and a sharing plate of camembert that was supposedly larger than the norm (as it was for sharing) yet seemed just adequate and with three pieces of baguette (between three of us...). I don't know, how much further can I go?: it feels just pointless to complain more when the whole endeavour is so uninspired - the choices listed above make that pretty clear (where is the invention, the creative response to modern taste that would make this good quality environment a go-to destination?). And as we went there with a voucher that offered a promotional discount that they had no clue how to redeem, leaving us to negotiate the "deal", the whole point of motivating us to visit seemed utterly pointless - why would we bother to go again if the deal leaves us feeling underwhelmed? Nope, not going back. Two stars only - mostly because the seating was quite nice...

Unfortunately, we were seated with ALL the only other diners by the door that was left open... not the best as it had to be one of the coldest days of the year or EVER! That said, the coffee was great, my daughter loved her chicken, waffle maple syrup avocado dish and my avocado on sour dough was pretty tasty ... shame about the pre-poached egg that wasn't hot so that was given a wide berth! Ordered two starters and two mains - two mains arrived before the starters ? Asked for starters first - were told mains would be remade but not 100% sure that was the case. Despite the poor service the food was good and that I would not complain about. Finally when asking for the bill the drinks from the next table were on our bill and a charge for the beer that was not available so had to go through the bill and advise what had to be removed. Saturday lunchtime - dead time for Canary Wharf - family in the area so decided to grab a quick pub lunch whilst shopping - the first dish came out and we waited......5 minutes before the next dish came out (there were less than 10 people eating in the restaurant at this point) - my own food (a fairly average wagyu burger) came out by the time the first diner had finished her dish, though with one large error - the cheese was 'still not ready' and would be bought over when it was... Halfway through my burger I was presented with a slice of cheese on a small plate - I suppose I was to place this on my half eaten burger?? More annoying was the constant hovering of 4 separate wait staff that would come over every 3 minutes asking if everything was OK...well it wasn't, and continually interrupting our conversation to ask us didn't help. My burger was thankfully taken off the charge. Still, would never eat there again, better service at a McDonald's...

Lovely place for a nice casual lunch. Would recommend the fresh juices since they're always delicious.

We met here for lunch and had reserved a table indoor. The menu looked interesting and the food was tasty but it took a while from ordering to actually getting the food even though we were a group of 7. I think another big problem for us was that it took a long time to get attention from service to get the bill.

Food was excellent, but service was quite poor as we were struggling to get the attention of the waiters to bring us more wine and pay the bill; quite surprising for such a small space. Parlour still remains just a good place for cocktails after work, but wouldn't recommend the restaurant purely due to its service. This is not the first time this happens, but probably the last.

Get the California Kickstarter - just the right amount of food for brunch: not too much, and not too tight on the portion either. Probably a better choice than their version of a 'Full English', in all honesty!

went on a Friday night with friend for dinner. Conveniently located in Canary Wharf, it's a good place to drop by after work. was going for the set menu but ended up order our own dish given the more variety of choices out there. the only thing is that towards the end the stuff were gathering at a corner to chat near the bar instead of looking out if there's any customers need them, so we almost had to go to the bar to ask for bill... but other than that, overall good experience.

Went for lunch last Sunday with a friend, we booked but it turned out we didn't need to - booking in advance did get us a great table though. The main reason my score isn't higher is because the service really wasn't great. The waitress huffed at us when we asked for another minute to decide, we were never checked on, offered a dessert/coffee menu or asked if we wanted more drinks and not one member of staff smiled for the whole experience. Having said that, the decor was lovely, the food very good and the cocktails were delicious. If the staff could just put a little more effort into acting like they give a damn then this would be a really nice place to eat, but they didn't so while I may go back on the off-chance I won't be going out of my way to do so.

Not the greatest meal we've ever had, main meal came out half way through starter, food and service not the best , will use again as we always give resterants a second chance.

It was extremely busy when we visited, but other than dessert, the waiting time for did was minimal. The food was nice and the staff were very friendly.

We were offered a buffet of finger food in this lovely setting. The restaurant is spacious with lots of seating, plenty of light. Food was lovely and servers were attentive and friendly.
