Such lovely staff at this place who really do work so hard to look after you and make it a nice experience. Lunch is pretty good value and of our party of 9 adults and 3 kids everyone found food they enjoyed :)

I don't really rate this place can get nicer food in Manchester for a lot less, atmosphere is busy and sole less, disappointed with food very salty anglasised Chinese and Indian, no strawberries for the chocolate fountain just marshmallows. Some things were ok but when I saw the guy add fresh noodles to the ones that had been there ages questioned the freshness of the other dishes.

Unfortunately had a rubbish experience, that night started off lovely , then after my partner started saying she felt sick after two small plates and a chocolate covered marshmallow , and ate everything I did besides the sushi . As we make our way out and say thank you , my partner proceeded to be *omit , twice . I made my way back in afterwards to speak to a supervisor, to advise him that the sushi needs to be checked , he showed no concern at all and stated that they had 5 stars and that , diary and sushi makes you sick , clearly an excuse when we’ve never had problems before . He showed no concern for the fact the food may have spoiled nor that my partner had thrown up with no alcohol or over eating , never going back I’m afraid .

Absolutely Horrific restaurant. Do Not Go. I had their sushi and prawns. Within 5 minutes of eating I was outside absolutely throwing my guts up and the host was very rude when my boyfriend tried to get help or some form of compensation.

Food was poor and bland. Very little dairy free options and the food my son could eat, he's a milk allergy reaction too.

The food looks better than it tastes, visually appealing but merely decent in flavor. That said, for the price they charge, it’s more or less what you’d expect. Worth a try if you’re more focused on quantity and variety than quality.

Went here over Easter for a day out with the family for the forst time. Great variety of food selection from fast food selection such as fries, nuggets, pizza etc, British dishes, indian cuisine, chinese, Japanese cuisine such as sushi, noodles, fried rice, spring rolls etc. Tasty salad options. All in abundance. The deserts were great and ice cream was very popular. Big selection of fizzy drinks, cocktails and mocktails. Clean place and great atmosphere. Staff was polite and offered a free birthday mocktail. Definitely going back again.

Well what can I say £76 for family of 4 then £23 on top for drinks food next to no flavour salt content was unreal sweet and sour chicken sorry chicken in vinegar worse I tasted and iv been to a lot of buffet there is a lot of variety of food but even the steak chicken and prawn cooked for you was horrible watched the guy put salt after salt oh look another £23 on drinks.... COSMO down the road has so much more flavour plus refills on drinks. Staff were pushy we didn't even sit down and they were pushing for drinks my son was eating and they took his plate away we had 10 min left on our table and they took everything away even our drinks that were half full poor poor poor poor poor

Fantastic restaurant! I came here with my family and we had a good time. The food is nice, but you have to pay for drinks. The toilet is also clean, but a woman sprays perfume on you for a fee (optional). Good place to have lunch with family or celebrate your birthday 🎂

This is the kind of place my kids would love. I liked it but the food wasn't the tastiest. It's a lot of food without much flavour. Even the fresh steak. However can't go wrong with a buffet that's got so much choice, east Asian food as well as worth Asian and everything in between. You pay at the door which is good as no messing about with payments at the end. There's a bar to order drinks from.

Went to Manchester and opted to go to an all you can eat buffet.. Was not disappointed at all. Food was excellent. Massive choice of dishes available. Staff were spot on. Took a while to be seated though, shows how popular and busy it was on a saturday evening. It was raining, so guessing that boosted up the footfall as well. Would go back again as couldn't fault the food, plenty to chose from and boy I made sure I got my moneys worth. Would highly recommend

We went into Manchester for a meal as it was our daughters 19th birthday. She’s never had a Chinese buffet before so that was the plan! We haven’t had one ourselves for years so we didn’t know where to go , we stumbled across this place but so glad we did! I think we paid £20 each but boy was it worth it! The food is unbelievable! All fresh hot dishes! There was all the Chinese classics, chow mein , sweet & sour, chicken/beef in black bean sauce, salt & pepper prawns, prawn toast, spring rolls, the list goes on & on! Desserts are so tasty too! There’s a freezer with pots of ice cream in the fresh cakes, doughnuts, profiteroles, & fresh fruit. It’s a very big place & well organised. The staff show you to your seats & take drinks orders, we paid £4 for a pint of diet coke which is a little bit pricey but £20 for the all you can eat buffet is such a good price for what you get so you don’t mind the drinks being a little pricey! All in all definitely worth a visit! We’ll be back!

I came to TOPS for mother’s day and had a wonderful experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. They were always replenishing the food, and I had some amazing cocktails too!! Although there was a bit of a wait (which I can understand since it was mother’s day), my favourite part was the teppanyaki. Overall, I give it a 10/10.

One of our favourite places. They have a lot of food to choose from. Not suitable for vegans maybe ok for vegetarians but it is mostly a meat place. Busy most of the time so I would recommend booking a table.

Absolutely awful experience at Tops Buffet. First of all, no one spoke clear English which made it really difficult to communicate. The food had no flavour at all – everything was bland, tasteless, and clearly microwaved. The chicken wasn’t even cooked properly, which is disgusting and dangerous. The place was completely rammed, way too busy and uncomfortable. All the staff looked miserable, not a single smile from anyone – proper grumpy vibes all around. It honestly made me feel sick being there and so did the food . The food was disgusting, and to top it all off, all the plates were soaking wet. £21! For one person do not go u will regret the worse tasting food I’ve ever ate. Kids shouting and screaming everywhere aswell Should get closed down Would not recommend this place to anyone. Waste of money and time. Avoid.

It was great with loads of varieties but it's getting expensive now. Cost £65 for 3 people and that's without drinks and parking ☺️☺️☺️. About time to cut down on the buffet and just order a night in😄

Pizza was cold and felt like the workers were rude when asking for payment for drinks but the worst part is how judgmental some of the workers are , I was using the halal marshmallows in the fountain and a worker came over and advised me not to use them and to use the non halal ones in a rude manner … I am Muslim so was taken aback

I visited with my family wife ,kids under 12 we waited for 15 min to be shown inside .you pay first (kids get some discount ) then shown to table .you for drinks extra inside .but there is tap water if you prefer .there is good selection of Chinese food predominantly.kids enjoyed snacks, noodles, pizza,deserts and ice creams .now the problem for me personally was that I was vegetarian and I could count only a few dishes that I could eat .I wasn't expecting a lot but you may be disappointed if you are expecting a good selection of veg only foods .worth a visit but I won't be returning .

Tops will always be my go to, food variety and clean space to dine in. I hope they add more dishes with time. 5 star

We arrived at 10pm, the restaurant is supposed to close at 10:30. But we were rejected from entry for the reason they don't serve after 9:30. The closing time needs to be updated in the website....

Lovely hidden gem in portland street manchester, enormous variety of food. £20 per adult for 2 hours stay all you can eat, waitresses was amazing and very attentive to customers. Drinks was a little pricey but this can be expected as its in city centre and your paying a fair price for food. I highly reccomend. I will visit again

First of all staff talked too me like I was dirt on their shoes. A paying customer should be treated with respect but no. Food was cold and flavourless and I can’t believe I even decided to eat here. The next week I went to Cosmos and it was a much better experience 100% recommend!

The manager and staff are very unprofessional. Instead of solving a query they are extremely rude and disrespectful. The racism there is blatant.

All you can eat buffet with an array of dishes, mainly Chinese and Indian. Enough choice to suit pretty much anyone. There are plenty of tables, but on weekends it is advisable to book.

Expected more TBH due to the queue outside. Meat was fatty, no sheesh kebabs, curries were watery. It felt crammed in to, like you were sat on the tables to the side of you. drinks were expensive.. it’s a no from me, but this is just my opinion.👍

A great thing for people who want to try different cuisines in one place. For £17 or on Sunday for £20 you can eat any delicious dishes. From large shrimps, other seafood, to pizza, Turkish bread, Chinese pasta, Indian curry, sushi, nuggets, chicken, beef, vegetables, spinach and so on, I could go on and on. Plus delicious cakes and ice cream that melt in your mouth! Carbonated water is free. There is a bar where you can order other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for an additional fee. Very nice service and atmospheric decor of the restaurant. I highly recommend it! Not only is it cheap, it is also very tasty!!!

However, I decided to give it another try this evening, and I noticed some improvements. **Food Selection:** The variety of food available was impressive, with something for everyone. While the selection was good, I found the overall quality of the food to be average—nothing that I would highly recommend. **Ambiance:** The restaurant itself is decent. It offers plenty of space, and the tables are well spaced out, which is a plus. **Service:** Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The initial welcome was lacking, and the staff member who greeted me seemed annoyed by my presence. Additionally, the waitstaff struggled with basic English, making communication challenging. To add to the disappointment, the staff repeatedly reminded us that they wanted us to vacate our table by 9:30 PM, even though they are open until 10 PM. Overall, while there have been some improvements, the poor service still makes it hard for me to recommend Tops Buffet.

Terrible Experience – Rude Manager & Inaccurate Closing Times I had a very disappointing experience at Topps Buffet, mainly due to the poor management and lack of customer service. The restaurant’s closing time on Google Maps is completely inaccurate, and they make no effort to inform customers of the actual closing time when they arrive. When we pointed this out, the manager, Mike, was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, he had an attitude and acted as if it was our fault for not knowing. No apology, no professionalism—just pure arrogance. A good business values its customers and takes responsibility for errors, but clearly, this place does not. If you expect decent service and respectful treatment, avoid Topps Buffet. Plenty of other restaurants in town that know how to treat customers right.

Awful Customer Service – Rude Manager & Misleading Closing Times I wouldn’t recommend Topps Buffet to anyone after my experience there. The closing time listed on Google Maps is completely wrong, and they don’t bother informing customers when they actually close. We came on valentines with a booking - we were instantly seated and didn’t have to cue up. The place was immaculate inside and decor stunning. The food was absolutely lovely for a buffet - we’ve tried all others like China Buffet, Cosmo, but since they were all fully booked we came here. The food was much nicer than both Cosmo and China buffet. All food was piping hot and seemed very fresh. It was also very flavourful! Which is usually lacking in buffets. Verity is also very wide. We had low expectations for this place based on the current Google rating however Best buffet in Manchester and would highly recommend

Visited for lunch. Food quality was absolutely lovely. Food was a plenty. Drinks not so good had an issue with the Corona lager tasting of TCP and line cleaning fluid. The member of staff refused to change it or offer a replacement. Next time I'll be sticking to tap water. Clean your lines properly and this has the potential to get top marks from me next time.

Food was class. Staff mostly friendly, few of them are either mutes or just fed up (we arrived 5 minutes after opening lol) Demon Cola is a no go Was mid bite when a member of staff literally put the card reader on top of my plate for me to pay for the drinks. Definitley worth the price for the money, just try not to interact with the staff too much or you’ll leave feeling vexed.

Loved the place, for £22 a person don't think you can expect better food ambience or service. Every dish tasted today and there were many, was piping hot tasty and of good quality ingredients. Service was excellent serving drinks and clearing used plates from tables.

I was racially abused today , Sunday the 9th of February 2025, I waited in cue, for over 7 minutes, the Asian guy, in charge of the grill, refused to take my order, tried severally to speak to him, he ignored me, then 3 white guys came, he straight away, went to them to take their orders, they told him, that I've been there for so long waiting before them, he still didn't want to listen to me, then want to their management to complain, he came, claiming he'll see the camera, came back, asked him, why he didn't take my order, he still didn't utter a word, I demanded to see their manager, but they refused to take me to their manager, I have never faced racism in England, and from a foreigner like me, made it a very bad day for me, I've got a video of the whole incident, which i will be posting all over social media, later today. Because they started speaking their Chinese language or whatever and laughing at me. May be somebody will watch the video, and translate whatever they were saying. Hopefully the 3 English guy's that tried to fight for me, will read this, and testify to my experience today. Such a shame.

Un buffet bastante normal que tiene mucha opción pero algo de la comida estaba rozando el frío y en cuanto al Pato utilizado en la mezcla para las tortitas no se parecía al Pato como lo conozco Carne en frijol negro era bastante bueno, pero las costillas y las alas estaban frías La mejor parte fue la estación de cocción fresca donde las gambas reales y Calamari se cocinaron excelentemente y estaban calientes No probé los postres, ya que la porción de gambas era enorme y prefieren salado de todos modos Creo que podría saborear mucho mejor después de una sesión de cerveza, pero definitivamente no en un lugar al que volvería pronto.

Visitado el fin de semana. Una experiencia horrible. Primero te encuentras con el personal de la casa más desagradable que he encontrado. Un portero de aspecto poco profesional en su teléfono en el vestíbulo y una mujer poco profesional que también estaba en su teléfono y bebiendo una bebida antes de que incluso se molestara en mirar hacia arriba y saludarnos. La comida era muy cara y fría, ninguno de los platos tenía cubiertas y estaban todos abiertos y el lugar era más como un comedor escolar con mesas embestidas muy juntas. Los asientos tenían cubiertas de asiento, pero tenían manchas. Bebidas que debe pedir en la mesa, pero luego insisten en que pague inmediatamente. El local se anuncia para cerrar a las 10 : 30 pm pero a las 9 : 45 pm comenzaron a quitar la comida y vimos a un hombre comenzar a limpiar la nevera del desierto mientras había pasteles allí; y a las 10 pm el portero grosero está dando instrucciones a la gente para que se vaya ya que “ahora estaban cerrados”. No te permiten terminar tu comida o bebida e insisten en que te vayas. Obviamente, no se toman en serio la seguridad alimentaria, de lo contrario, la comida se serviría caliente y se retiraría antes de que se realizara ninguna limpieza; o tratan a sus clientes con respeto o cortesía alguna; todo lo que les interesa es embestir a la mayor cantidad de personas en el lugar como sea posible y tomar su dinero. El servicio al cliente es inexistente. Un miembro de nuestro grupo se quejó y la mujer en la recepción no podía ser molestada, ni siquiera una disculpa. Been to a few buffet restaurants but top's is best. Great choice of fresh dishes. So much choice and reasonable price
