Beutiful mutton curry, real home made food. Congrats 🙏

Walked into the store and ordered the patty, it was horrendous as i only took 1 bite before throwing it in the bin. The chicken curry was a 4/10. Waste of my £14.

Thought i would try this evening. Ordered large jerk chicken rice and peas. It was 11.50. However, i cancelled it when i saw how small the portion was and the fact that the container was being mostly being filled with rice and veg therefore leaving very little room for chicken and curry etc. Its hard to beat Buzzrocks in Hulme i'm afraid.

Food was authentic! Oxtail was sweet and tender and customer service was great. 100% recommend !

Got the mutton curry, chips and lamb pattie. Absolutely gorgeous and feeling full. Recommend.

Food smelt okay when it got here, it’s a shame it didn't taste as nice as it smelt. Found several chicken knuckles and bones in the Jerk chicken. The chips were soaked in grease. I am beyond disappointed.

Went here for lunch yesterday highly recommended. Lunch time special jerk chicken rice and peas only £6 with a bottle of water.

Foods nice and a decent price. Service isn’t the best as the staff working there provides minimal effort. Was a regular customer however they charged £2 for coleslaw to be put into a separate container. Poor treatment for loyal customers.

Horrible services. Everything tastes blend no flavours at all. I asked for my coleslaw in a side container instead of on top of my jerk chicken lunch and was told I have to pay 2£ for this. Understandable if it was a side order but coleslaw comes a part of the lunch meal and most people don’t want there slaw touching jerk chicken sauce! The 2 brothers in there told me to get out their shop. No customer satisfaction

Worse Caribbean food I’ve ever tasted, couldn’t believe they even cooked this and sent it out to customers. And yes, that thing next to the coke is supposed to be mac & cheese.

Fish is juicy, full of pepper, chilli, and veg spices. Yet still good.

Of all the yard shops I’ve been to in my time, this one had the least flavour. Ironic. Looks way better than it tastes. Just about edible.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered on just eat and my food never arrived. I called the shop and they said I need to take it up with just eat. Absolutely shocking customer service. Avoid at all costs unless you have money to throw away.

I spent £32 here last Thursday got brown stewed chicken , rice &peas 2 jerk chicken in dumplin and 2 patties , except the patties the rest got thrown in the bin. Brown stew was flavaless , and the rice was deffo over a day old. Don’t know what happened to the jerk dumplings, they smelled off tasted off and fishy didn’t even take a full bite of 1 and they all got thrown straight away , honestly not been able to shift the taste since, made me feel sick as a dog

Food is amazing 👏 very flavoursome and only place I go to for lunch. Must try this if you're nearby

I would rate 0 but its not an option. ordered theough uber eats. The jerk chicken is bland! rice and peas would have been okay but the food came stone cold. Also got a teaspoon of steamed veg. Not sure how this place is still open and call themselves a jamaican cuisine. its an insult. I didnt get a refund nor offer a replacement meal. i wouldnt wsste money or time. i know now for future reference to read bad reviews as well as good because the rest are spot on

It's been a long time since I had oxtail and it's been even longer since I had food that make me feel like that, not only is my belly well fed and more than satisfied but brought back some good memories proper soul food 💯 I'll defo be ordering from Caribbean Flavas again Thank you guys

Purchased jerk chicken with rice meal plus plantains side to takeaway. Nothing was served hot, everything went into the microwave. Did not enjoy food. Chicken was not spicy and rice tasted couple days old.

Got the lunchtime special - £5 for a big box of rice and chicken, amazing value for money. Jerk chicken is tender and the rice and peas is very flavoursome. I come here all the time and it’s great.

Had the jerk chicken in a dumpling and it was good value for money. Don’t be sad if the guy serving behind the counter is a little bit rude, he means well. Can’t wait to try their other food!

I’ve had better Caribbean food. Big fat woman behind the counte with the braids has bad attitude. Miserable! Chicken is too bony and veg is watery! Not cheap either...

This is a phantastic place, an absolute secret tip. We ran into it on a drunk night, had a great chat with Marcel and Marie and the food was just DELICIOUS.

Been to this place a few times when I've been working in Manchester, and they make absolutely brilliant food! If you love this sorta food then you have to try here, the smell will drag you in from outside, staff are amazing and friendly, and definitely worth a try

No flavour what so every the sauce was watery. I did not enjoy this Caribbean at all. Waste of money. Chicken was sat in a tub for hours by the looks of it.

Brought my husband a fried chicken meal. He said the rice & peas was good enough, even without the chicken & that he thoroughly enjoyed it. Next time we’re in Manchester we will order again.

Rice tasted and smelt like dirty dishcloths

Would rather throw my money in the Irwell than spend it here. The woman behind the counter was the rudest most unhelpful person I’ve come across in a long long time. She seemed to forget that I was actually trying to spend money in her shop. Absolute joker. Never again.

In the evenings I get the curry mutton from this place or the ox tail if I’m feeling it also very tender! During the day they do a great lunch time special £4.50 for jerk chicken, rice and peas and salad (seen below)

Lovely food, lovely service. Nice place to pop round. grab a selection and wander home with it. The food needs reheating but so what, if your mum made you some food and you had to take it home you'd reheat it wouldn't you? This is homemade mum food standard if you ask me and delicious enough to reheat :)

Food was banging but it's all kept cold. You get asked if you want the food warmed up (of course I do, I don't want cold food) then it's heated up in a microwave? This in turn meant the jerk chicken was dryer than it should be although still good. Peppered steak was good and heated up better Get some heaters to keep the food hot rather then reheating it

Went here last night and this place is amazing. The food is lovely. I had oxtail and rice and peas I'm going to work through the menu. It's all packed nice and fresh and clean I've been let down with caribbean food before and it put me off you have now restored my faith. Thank you the food was delicious

Really good Jamaican food. You can mix & match the fried and jerk chicken (both extremely tasty) and they also serve something called Guinness punch?? Very clean inside too. Worth a visit

I ordered salt fish meal (ackee & salt fish , rice and salad). They only gave me ackee rice and salad. Not one piece of salt fish. The rest of the order was fine but I did not get the meal I paid for

I’ve ordered from this place a few times and every time have been blown away by the food. Great portion sizes, amazing flavour and perfect amount of variety. Food always arrives hot. First time I ordered I ordered an extra pot of jerk sauce as often jerk chicken ordered in Manchester comes a little dry. Not from here though! The chicken was moist and served with plenty of sauce for the rice and veg. (I still always order an extra pot of jerk sauce now however, but purely because it’s so delicious I put it on everything).

Ordered with uber eats and was delighted with the service and the food was gorgeous they forgot my can but I wasn't bothered as I had a discount from user eats anyway.

The nicest Caribbean food, I wouldn't order from anywhere else now. Staff are lovely and friendly too :)

Have had takeaway several times, and food has always been great. Jerk Chicken is not too hot, but has great flavour.

Went in and ordered my food and they asked for the money. I paid not a problem. Then when she picked my food from the hot plate she asked whether I wanted it warmed up. I said no because I don't eat microwaved food. It was ice cold food that had been on the hot plate all day. Not fresh are even remotely warm. I was stone cold sober but would not have been happy with this after 10 pints. Asking me do I want jerk chicken, rice and peas and dumplins warmed up. Obviously I wanted it hot up in the 1st place. Don't know how they are still in business to be honest. Must rely on drunk people for the majority of it.

We order a takeaway and It was good food with the right amount of spice. They dealt with a delivery problem in a very helpful manner. We ordered through Just Eat which didn’t send the restaurant the delivery notes, so no phone number for resolving problem.

Enjoyed had the peppered steak and got a bbq chicken rice peas N steamed veg and dumplings I only ordered the small but they do a large too and carrot cake for afters with a couple of ka bkackcurrents was very nice and staff very polite too highly recommend

Ordered from here the food arrived cold. I ordered the curried chicken rice n peas, mac n cheese, fried chicken and plantain. The food tasted awful it was absolutely disgusting made me feel sick to my stomach. The rice tasted as if it had been burnt in the pan, the curried chicken was thick and the sauce had set into a jelly like liquid on the top. The Mac and cheese arrived cold stodgy and in a brick shape. It was just like cold soggy pasta that had been stuck together. The fried chicken tasted as if it had been fried 5 days ago and the plantain was thick soggy and undercooked. I rang back and explained how I would like a refund and the manager argued with me. The food was so bad I totally lost my apetite, and I’m not particularly fussy nor do I ever write reviews. However, this is definitely the worst takeaway I have ever ordered. They also overcharged me as on the just eat website they advertise as having large bottles of fizzy drinks for sale. However they do not and therefore it didn’t arrive.

Terrible. Just microwave everything, including fried chicken. Even after microwave it was cold in middle and threw away. Waste of money and food.

Good job I had an UberEats offer to make the order cheep or it may have been a 1*. Get the offer to by using eats-adamn152ui for a first time oder and get £10 off. The food was slow to deliver so dont be too hungry when you order. Food was barely 'ok' a firm 2/5 affair all in all.

Worst Caribbean food ive ever tasted spent just under £20 for the rice to be hard and have big clumps of hard rice stuck together. The jerk chicken was the blandest chicken ive ever tasted. When i opened the coleslaw it looked like it had be stored for days and tbe veg was hard and looked and tasted raw. Me or my partner didnt eat it the food and ended up making our own chicken in the end. Would not recommend this place what so ever. Ill stick to sunrise or little rocks from now on

Went here by accident today. One of the best carribean places in Manchester. I eat alot of carribean. The curried goat from here is next level. Perfectly cooked and you get an awful lot for your money. Prices are cheap for the amount you get and the quality of the ingredients. Chicken wings are lovely. I'll be coming here alot more frequently as they are on just eat. Thanks for a meal made with love.

I was in city and wanted some Caribbean food I saw this restaurant and it looks really good also the food. However, I was disappointed after stopping by and ordered some jerk chicken,wings and some other things. I tasted the wings spat it out through it in the bin right away because it has no flavor just bland and the jerk chicken taste like it has been there from the night before. I lost my appetite food was awful. This is no Caribbean flavor because there were none in any of the dish that I tasted. waste of money and time going there. Let’s hope they see this review and try and improve things.

Where do I begin after a long hard day I fancied some Caribbean food I realised it was Sunday and therefore most Caribbean food places are shut but to my surprise Caribbean Flavours was open- but now I understand why...to rank up it’s takings for the week and hope to take the business from other Caribbean shops that are closed on sundays 🤮 Firstly the food tasted like it was cooked last Sunday, reheated today and served 🤮 the audacity! The jerk chicken BLAND! My girlfriend from Scotland could season chicken better than that and she couldn’t point out the Caribbean on a world map and the most seasoning she’s seen in her life time is abit of salt and pepper,speaking of salt my mouth was as dry as Gandhi’s flip flop afterwards 😔 Secondly the rice and peas was as tough as Bob Marley’s dreads and as dry as the Sahara Wat a disappointment how hard can it be to make rice! This is food 101 Thirdley the “gravy” was as watery💦 as buxtons finest bottle My girlfriend got a curry goat and the lamb was gristly fatty and not deboned but that doesn’t take away the fact that it was Flavourless (Caribbean flavours more like KARENBEAN flavourless). The cheek to charge me 15.78 of my hard earned money on this flavourless! Runny Bland Poorly seasoned food is just diabolical At least we’re a mask if your going to rob me! In conclusion Karen from Kirby can keep her poorly seasoned chicken breast to herself. Just because you drowned a chicken breast in Levi roots reggae reggae sauce doesn’t make it jerk Karen!!!! 😡 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Ps we need an option for no stars

Decent food, only decent nothing more! Well presented food establishment, clean, comfortable dining experience and friendly staff members but disappointingly the food they serve lacks quality. They actually MICROWAVE some of their dishes because they store the cooked food in a COLD/COOL display fridge. Microwave food is a no no!!! Hence why you need a license just to own a microwave in certain countries (Germany etc). Who wants microwaved food when you can have hot freshly served food at most Caribbean food outlets. Room for improvement with Flava and as i say its a shame because I like the staff and the interior setting. Final note....the food lacks that kick that you get when you eat authentic Jamaican cuisine. All the best to Flava, I hope they can improve in future

Choose from dishes behind a deli style counter. Friendly staff, with a family-run vibe. Prices reasonable and food seems authentic and tasty. Most people take away but there are a few seats to eat inside. (PS. I don't know why some dimwit has posted a picture of a pizza clearly from a different restaurant).

Usually I would not write a review twice but I feel like this place really needs to sort themselves out.Not only was my food 20 mins late with no phone call, I will be totally honest with everyone and just say I have never been so disappointed in Caribbean food in my life and I have ordered from this place in the past. Speaking from a true Caribbean man I cannot believe that they would serve curry goat and rice with no flavour. The curry goat was dry, there was no sauce with it and the vegetables were not steamed fully. I also ordered some plantain and that was thick and undercooked. The dumplings that I also ordered were dried out, hard and cold. i’ve never been so disappointed in my life with Caribbean heritage food. This food should not be complicated to make for a Caribbean man and should be perfect every time.

I've got to be honest, the food is ok, the goat/mutton is nice and the rice and peas is decent; what i don't get is why is everything (EVERYTHING) microwaved? Me - "Goat with rice and peas please mate" CF - "do you want it heating up" Me "I'll have some plantain and a couple of fritters too please" CF "do you want that heating up too?" ... Really? I don't expect to pay almost £30 to have my food blitzed and ruined in a microwave. The goat and rice was passable, but the fitters = ruined, plantain = ruined and the dumplings were beyond ruined. Please stop microwaving everything guys, yours isn't the best Caribbean food in town but it isn't the worst either, but microwaving everything is a very poor show.

Not the first time ave eaten from here all ways been $asty; LAST night tSaturday 9/9/18= food £6.50 2 lots= O my days;' The chicken thigh if thats what they were ? was nothin but Bone and bit of Dark Dryed up chicken ;and the Legs were them same; Steam veg ? A Bit RAW cabbage mix-Both meals were the SAME RUBBISH

Makanan khas Karibia cukup banyak pilihan, rasanya otentik dan bumbu khas rempah Karibia. Ayam gorengnya enak, empuk dagingnya dan gurih rasanya.

Once again quality flavoursome food. Order as a takeaway and it came quicker than JustEat time. We ate BBQ chicken with chips and Jerk chicken with chips. Yummy. Also went large!!! Its great that they wrap the boxes in clingfilm to keep heat and sauce in. Love everything about it.

Unfortunately they don't have curried goat any more. The lamb was delicious though. They need to put their prices and label the food more clearly in the display cabinet though

Was mediocre to begin with. Has new owners and the food is even worse! How someone can manage to cook flavourless Caribbean food is a real mystery! Avoid.
