Waited an hour and a half for food and when it finally arrived I was most disappointed. The curry goat was overly salty and there was minimal meat in the curry. The patty wasn’t a patty it was a dumpling with 1 small piece of chicken in the middle. For the cost and amount of time I had to wait I would not eat from here again.

The worst take away service I’ve ever experienced! 3 hours late, numerous calls in this time where we were told our food was on it’s way. Once delivered we were told the previous person had got lost. The order received was wrong, half of the order missing. From the part of order that did come it was cold and very unpleasant. We were told we would need to take the food back to them if we wanted a refund, then told we would be called back the manager, this never happened. Very overpriced even if it had of been right. Terrible telephone service, communication skills very poor. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take away arrived early, lovely and friendly really flavoursome suya was tasty and spicy, jerk chicken was lush too it took me back to Jamaica 🇯🇲

The food was nice but the evening was ruined by the dreadful ambiance. We had a Groupon Voucher which gave a fixed starter and a choice of two mains. When we arrived, we were the only people there and no one came or called while we were there. The restaurant was very cold, so they switched on a 1 kilowatt fan heater which, unsurprisingly, made no difference whatsoever. The lighting was dingy and the large window had no curtains or blind. Two tables were laid and we were 'waved' to one and then moved to another, the same size but not laid! We were then left alone for over 30 minutes when the starter appeared. We were not asked which of the two choices we wanted for our main course and just under another 30 minutes later, two main courses appeared; one was one of the choices but the other, although based on one of the choices, for some inexplicable reason, had been altered! After the plates were cleared, we were simply left for another 20 minutes, at the end of which, we reluctantly came to the conclusion that, clearly, neither dessert nor coffee were to be offered. By now mild irritation had transformed into anger at the way that we had been treated. We left and warmed up in the car. A shame, as the food was nice but customer service was rock bottom - a cold room, very slow service and an utter paucity of bonhomie!

We tried to order a takeaway but when we called they seemed surprised that we were quoting the price on their website. Someone was going to call back to confirm the price but never called back. So we got no takeaway. It is not clear what the business model is but it needs reviewing.

This was a Birthday surprise from my husband. I'm of Caribbean background, living just outside Norwich. In the past we've had to travel many miles to find a decent Caribbean/African restaurant which wasn't a chain selling generic, over peppered food, but that's now changed!! Pumpkin Soup with small patties to start and then Jerk Chicken with Rice & Peas ( a staple of Caribbean cuisine). Magnificent !! As it was my birthday the staff offered us a choc sponge cake with a candle to blow out - a lovely touch, and much appreciated by us. Staff were all friendly and we were made to feel comfortable & welcomed. Didi's is a hidden gem & with more advertising they will soon be packed every night. They also do a Take Away service.

Purchased a Groupn 3 course meal and booked for a Thursday night. It was a set meal, I do not like spicy foods so had called beforehand and asked for non spicy, they were very accomodating as also made me a different rice as i don't like peas or beans, the food was lovely and the lady was chatty telling us about life in the Caribbean before moving to UK. We turned out to be the only people in that night which was a shame as the food was really nice.

Restaurant was cold as only small fan heater and we were only ones there. Service incredibly slow considering we were due to have a 2 course set menu.

Wow wow wow is all I can say about the food and service was so warm and welcoming. The ribs were to die for, I would sell my partner for just the ribs at didis.

They didn’t even deliver my food i waited 2 hours. nothing. I called more than twice and there was no answer. Terrible service and a poor excuse for a restaurant. Now i’ve lost money all because they didn’t deliver my food and now i have to spend more money finding somewhere else

We had a lovely evening at this restaurant last weekend, the food was so far the best Caribbean we have had in a long time. The Curry goat was actually goat, dumplings were huge, the Jerk was actually smoked in a drum and not glazed. Thank you. Whist on it I noticed some people slagging small business like off, I just like to say, they all need our support at this diffucukt time. I can recommend this place anytime and please go for the Jerk and Jollof. Thanks.

I tried to leave a polite, honest review on Just Eat but it was not posted! As I said in the review that didn’t make it, there were good elements to the food - the plantain was lovely, and it all tasted good in general but the Caribbean food items I ordered were not even reminiscent of Caribbean food. Anyone who has had/seen jerk chicken before knows that this is not Jerk chicken in any way, shape, or form (picture attached). I ordered jerk wings and received wings smothered in tomatoes and thyme? I also ordered “Traditional” curried goat which tasted exactly like a curry you would expect from an Indian takeaway. You cannot advertise as a Caribbean restaurant and claim to serve Caribbean food if you are not even following the basic premise of what the dishes are. It’s quite frankly insulting to Caribbean food and culture to not even research how to cook these dishes, then label them as traditional Caribbean dishes and charge for them. The seasoning and methods of cooking these dishes is what makes them Jerk Chicken, Curried Goat, etc and it’s very easy to tell these seasonings and methods haven’t been used here. The issue here is not that the food tastes bad at all, and I’m sure there are plenty of great dishes. It is just the Caribbean aspect of this restaurant is not authentic. It really should be dropped from the name of the restaurant and description of the dishes, unless the dishes start being cooked to traditional Caribbean recipes.

Ordered at 6 for delivery 7, 7:15 called to chase, “we’ll be there 7:40” 7:45 called to chase, “we’ll be there in five mins” 8:40 still no food, turns up at 9 food was less than impressive, in fact it made me check what I had ordered. Aweful service, aweful food, could not recommend. In addition they arrive with you over the phone and lie about delivery timing.

I bought a Groupon to go here, tried to call to ask if it was ok to bring children, no answer by phone or mobile numbers, called by twice... closed. Eventually sorted a baby sitter and booked online, turned up and was closed, I was then contacted to apologize a few days later saying as I’d booked they’d already taken money and I could rebook direct. This I tried to do without any joy. Total waste of my time and money. It looks now as though it has closed down.

Jollof rice and curried goat was good. The other two werent upto the mark at all. The chicken was burnt. The delivery time was the biggest issue. In addition they didn't pick up the call for 3 times. When they finally picked up the manager has the audacity to offer 20pc discount on the next order. No way am ordering again from here.

Good food, but took about 2 hours to turn up, driver was very apologetic but little use if your hungry. Next time, collection or most likely will be going somewhere else.

We used a Groupon voucher and satnav to find this interesting little diner. Didi is a charming, peaceful lady and an excellent cook. We were the only diners and Thea made us welcome, bringing fruit punch whilst our cooked to order meals were being prepared. Appetisers of corn on the cob were a welcome surprise. After a realistic wait the Caribbean chicken stirfry and Vegetable stir fry were placed before us, hot and sizzling. Rice and beans and yam slices accompanied this tasty repast. Top quality fresh vegetables were full of flavour. Desserts were authentic. Homemade Carrot and Walnut cake with ice cream went down well and the tropical fruit salad was sweet and refreshing. A surprisingly filling meal. On street parking, disabled friendly access with disabled loo. Having to walk through the screened off kitchen area to reach the loo was not ideal. However, this is a new and growing business and I wouldn't be surprised to see it move to a larger site before too long.

We ate using a Groupon voucher and were initially disappointed not to see goat or jollof rice on the set menu. However the chicken sizzler far exceeded expectation in taste and quality. Was fresh, used interesting ingredients including samphire, served quickly and light enough that we could enjoy a generous piece of very good carrot cake afterwards. Very friendly service, would definitely like to try more dishes, and would certainly consider using the catering services. The venue's decor does not do the food or staff justice however if you like authentic, unusual and wholesome food this place is a must.

Just had lunch for two, fantastic food chicken sizzler very tasty with carrot cake for desert all home made and delicious. Run by fantastic couple excellent service and very friendly.

We'd never tried carribean cuisine before - it did not disappoint at all! Absolutely fantastic, so delicious and fresh. I have a feeling this will become our go to for takeaway as it's not only tasty but also PROPER food. It arrived a little early and the gentleman who delivered it to us was extremely friendly. Ridiculous waiting time. Added half an hour on to the original delivery time. I rang after this time passed and they said 20 minutes, it was over another hour before I rang and they said my food had just left. Currently still waiting. Food is usually amazing though but the waiting times are insane.

Will recommend the diced plantain and Gizzard so delicious usually buy two bowls due to my addiction. Had an error in order but called up and it was swiftly rectified.

Este fue un nuevo restaurante para probar a través de un bono de Groupon, y como siempre estoy en la mira de probar algo nuevo me compré dos campos por dos vale. Mi marido sabía donde este pequeño lugar es en Norwich, y aunque hay un poquito de aparcamiento, pudimos aparcar más abajo en esta calle concurrida y pie.

Probablemente pierdas este lugar si no sabía que estaba ahí, ya que está muy escondido. En el interior, la decoración y el diseño es muy limpio, interesante y bien pensado para un sitio tan pequeño. Mi amigo y yo nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos y todas nuestras peticiones fueron atendidas.

Ordered on a Saturday night ans the delivery waiting time was long so picked it up myself. The food was amazing, chicken caribbean dumpling and goat curry were astounding. Will be ordering again soon.

Amazing as usual, didn't have dumpling so they replaced it with a Pattie which was really thoughtful of them. The curry goat is simply the best

No te desanimes con el entorno como la comida estaba lleno de sabores y especias. Esto era con un bono de groupon que me hubiera estado dispuesto a pagar el precio completo. Comencé con la caballa, plato principal Pollo al Curry, que era Caribe lleno de sabores absolutamente fabulosa comida fantástica muy recomendado.
