The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Cardiff South Wales

Honestly Costa Coffee is one of my favourite but lately in Cardiff all Costa shops are very dirty it’s amazing how they staff don’t seem to care. Very sad.

NB: This restaurant is now called Dubai Nights. I do not know whether it is the same ownership/management/staff as Sultan, the previous business's name, but at least the business now has a very good council hygiene rating.

Go every time I visit Cardiff. Resent being charged for take away cup when eating in. Appears every customer was given environmentally damaging take away packaging, to save on washing up. I resent being expected, toeat out of a bag. Give take away packaging, to those that ask for take away.

Lo recomiendo encarecidamente. El café más amable en Pontcanna! Llamamos al nuevo terreno el domingo pasado. El servicio y la comida eran excepcionales! Tom fue excepcional, asegurando que todo nuestro grupo estuviera sentado juntos, era tan complaciente. Todo el personal es genial, pero hay una joven encantadora con el pelo rubio que siempre es tan amable también! ¡No puedo esperar para volver!

Esto parece estar cerrado, qué pena que realmente estaba deseando comer aquí. Otro catering en la calle Fagans no es lo mismo y es como catering en cualquier lugar

Nice little coffee shop, really pretty and cosy inside. However, the food was way overpriced in my opinion. Also not worth the price at all. With the price we paid for avocado and salmon on toast, we expected some good food, at least something that feels like they just made it. But the avocado wasn’t fresh and was more liquid than “smashed”. The rest of the menu looked just as pricy. Very disappointed. Will not go back for food.

We came here on a Sunday morning, plenty of seating, clean but staff was taking to many orders at once which meant there was a large queue of people waiting on drinks, our food was ready before we even received our drinks, so it had already gone cold, food is pre cooked and warmed up.

Everything feshly made to order, very busy at lunchtime with a queue but this speaks for itself. They load the sandwiches and baquettes as much as possible, so good portions

Call here every week around 12 oclock, there are no custard slices, surely it would be better to make more, bought 2 vanilla slices instead, not very nice synthetic cream and rick hard pastry, will not be buying these again.

Just popped in to buy some toast to take away for breakfast……£4 for two anaemic looking, untoasted and thin slices of bread, with more holes than content!

Visitamos hoy 15 de agosto de 2020. Tomé un café en una taza sucia. Pedí una taza limpia y el hombre que la hizo dijo que eran gotas de café. Pero las gotas de café se secaron. Si estuviera recién hecho, estarían mojados. Muy poco profesional y de mala educación. Necesita una formación adecuada.

It took a little while to be seated, but the gazebo area we were sat in was cute and after figuring out how to use the app we managed to order our food and drinks. The trip was supposed to be a nice breakfast/brunch, with time left in the morning before having to work in the afternoon, but as time ticked on without even receiving our drinks we were wondering if we had just been forgotten about. Other customers appeared to be having a similar delay in their food but none of the staff had told us why it was taking so long. Eventually our two drinks came out after half an hour of waiting (usually the standard time for a simple meal on a normal day?), and these were not complicated drinks, just sparkling soft drinks from a bottle. We were told the food would be soon, so we thought the food might follow not long after. We were wrong. Other customers were served food and drinks before us even though they arrived and ordered after we did, so we called over the staff to ask when to expect our food. The answer was it was coming out next, which didn't give a timescale and there was no explanation given as to why it was so late, but the waitress was friendly and apologised. I was extremely unimpressed with others being served before us when we had ordered before them, this is not good practice. When the food arrived (a cooked breakfast and avocado on toast) we quickly realised the vegan meal that was the avocado and grilled vegetables was actually the non-vegan meal and had meat on. We called over one of the kitchen staff who was nearby and asked if this was meat, and he said it was meat and took it back into the kitchen for the chef to prepare another. I know mistakes can happen, but this was very disappointing after such a long wait for food, it had been an hour and a half by the time we were eating and there were only three other tables seated in the gazebo at this time of the morning, not exactly heaving. We were brought another plate and we were apologised to, but again no explanation as to why we waited an hour and a half for a breakfast, no offer of a refund, and when we were asked if we wanted more drinks it wasn't clear if they would be on the house or if we would be waiting another 20 minutes for them so we said no. The food itself was good. But in all honesty nobody goes to a restaurant for such a limited experience.

A nice place for a drink outside on a sunny day. I'm not sure we'd go there and sit inside, as most of the fun is watching the world go by and sitting in the sun. Wine and beer are both reasonable. =================================================== It's five years since I reviewed this place and feel an update is in order. They now serve food which is very good for the price - pasta, baguettes, that sort of thing. Probably more suitable for a lunch rather than a night out, but nice nonetheless. Still prefer sitting outside, and the beer and wine are still reasonable. It's also a good place to go for pre- and post-theatre drinks and they do a discount on interval drinks. It's a lot easier to get a seat here than the theatre's own bats. Also, they have started running quiz nights, which I can thoroughly recommend

Please heat cups before serving 'hot' drinks. Shame you don't serve toast or teacakes for morning snack!

Conocí a algunos colegas aquí hace unas semanas, pedimos 2 rondas de bebidas - 6 bebidas en total, estuvimos allí alrededor de 2. 5 horas. Me sorprendió unos días más tarde recibir una multa por estacionar, ya que había excedido el límite de 2 horas en el estacionamiento, que no había prestado atención también! Así que, apelé, pero en términos claros, la apelación fue rechazada a pesar de que yo era un cliente que pagaba dos veces más. Iré a otro lugar para reuniones en el futuro.
